The American Red Cross, deeply values it's volunteers, including it's youth. Extending this organization to the Texas State campus and into the San Marcos community will further carry on its proud tradition of volunteering to help others. One of the primary objectives of the American Red Cross is to help young adults achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Through volunteering, many young adults:
1.) Identify personal passions that they later convert into careers such as teaching, nursing, personnal management, social work and administration.
2.)Meet new people, build career skills and get practical experience to put on their resumes.
3.) Feel more connected to the communities in which their colleges and universities are located and want to make these communities better places.
