Cattery Reduction! Cats Now Available!

TwiztetWhizkerz is a small in-house, cageless cattery focused on healthy, happy Savannahs.

.

Savannah's are beautiful, exotic, high-energy cats. I fell in love with them the first moment I saw them and knew I wanted them in my life. I decided to begin breeding Savannah's in 2006, and haven't looked back since. I have been blessed to find a hobby that I love and my family can also take part in. My children love when there are kittens running around and help to socialize them through play. All kittens are born and raised in our home, with us and our other animals. I believe that the two key factors to a good cat are health and happiness, and I strive to make sure all my cats have those things.

I have also been blessed with the oppurtunity to go back to school and am currently taking Animal Management. I plan to further my education, going on for animal behavior and genetics after I have completed this program. I believe this will help me understand my hobby on a deeper level and I'll be able to do what I love, work with animals. What more could one ask for?

All my girls live in the house with our family and other pets. They are allowed to roam free inside and do what they like. I do lots of enrichment with them because I believe it is very important to keep their minds active. We have 3 fish tanks for their viewing pleasure, bird feeders are hung outside of every window, I hide their food so they can 'hunt' for it, and they have toys, cat trees (which they LOVE), and cat houses to play with. I also sometimes give them feeder goldfish, raw bone-in chicken, and rats as enrichment. All enrichment using food should be limited, as you don't want a fat cat.

My boys are not as lucky. Unfortunately, the boys need to be seperated from the girls for obvious reasons. The boys are given much of the same enrichment as the girls, though it sometimes needs to be modified. The boys are either housed in our attached garage in the winter or they are in their outdoor enclosures in the summer. They are both very sweet boys and I wish they could be inside, but they would spray to mark territory and I would never be sure of who bred who. Housing them in seperate areas allows me to know when my girls will get pregnant and by whom, unexpected pregnancies do not happen in my cattery.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Enjoy, and happy Savannah hunting!
