23 October 2005: Wow! Just returned from St. Margaret's Church in Ilkley. We went to the 9:30 family service, collecting money after that and the 10:30 service. Quite an early start compared to what we're used to, but well worth it.  In total we raised £69.51, which is fantastic; everyone was so kind and generous. We were invited to return next Sunday, which we are more than happy to do, and also to hold a stall at their Christmas fayre, held at the Clark Foley centre. Thank you ever so much to everyone who donated money, even the coppers at the bottom of your purse help. We also spoke to Hugh Little, about what we are doing in the community. He is currently writing the diary of Father David Hope, the Priest at St. Margaret's.

23 April 2006: Firstly, as I haven't updated the site in a while, I should mention that the non-uniform day at Ashlands Primary School went extremely well. Younger students dressed up as African animals, whilst the older students wore the African coulours, red, green, yellow and black. Everyone who dressed up gave a donation, and in total we recieved an amazing £167. Although we could not be there to see the pupils on the day, we heard that everyone had great fun dressing up, and all in all it was a very successful event.

Secondly, last night was the fortieth wedding anniversary of the Revd Canon Godfrey Higgins, and his wife Phillipa, at Saint Margarets Church in Ilkley. We were asked if we would work at the bar, serving drinks, and washing glasses for the night. In return, Godfrey Higgins very generously donated some money, and throughout the night guests also donated money. Over the whole evening we managed to raise £284.92. It was hard work, but great fun meeting all the guests, and using the glass washing machine! Thank you to everyone who contributed, you were extremely generous and helpful.
