History- Edward had a very uneventfull human life. He and his family were moderately wealthy, His mothers biggest worry was that World War 1 was raging and Edward was only a year away from the draft. In September of that same year the Dpanish Influenza hit. Taking the life of his mother and father. The doctor who helped both Edwards mother and Edward was Dr. Cullen. Edwards mother seemed to know that Carlisle could save Edward in a special way and practically begged him to do it before she died. Since then Calrlisle has taken on the role of Edwards adopted father. From 1927-1931, Edward had a rebellious stage and went off on his own, away from carlisle and Esme. While he was gone Edward decided he could feed off of truly evil humans, using his special gift to not harm the innocent. After a while he, "Couldn't escape the debt of so much human life he had taken, no matter how justified."(Twilight Page 312-333) and he returned to Carlisle and Esme in open arms. they moved to Forks in 1936 and ran into the Quileute Indians. They formed a treaty and promised to stay off there land ad not feed off of humans.

After many years they returned to Forks in 2003, then Edward met Bella in 2005. her blood "sang" to him and he bacame infatuated with her. He left for one week and went to Alaska, but he just couldn't stay away and so he returned. They fell in love despite the odds that were against them. When Bella became of victim of James a nomadic vampire tracker, Edward was forced to drink bellas blood by sucking out the venom from when James bit her. Edward stayed with her until her disasterous 18th birthday party. Jasper had tried to attack Bella when she got a paper cut. He decided that Bella would be better off without him there ruining her life. Edward spent his time tracking Victoria, leaving all his other family members behind. When Edward heard that Bella was dead he set off to italy to have the Italian coven of vampire called the Volturi kill him. Alice and Bella made it just in time to stop him. He convinved the volturi to let them all leave, they agreed under the condition that Bella be made vampire. The after a lot of battles and struggles Edward finally married Bella. they had a daughter named Renesmee(Nessie) she is half human half vampire.

History- Bella was born in forks, Washington but her mother split when she was 6 months old. She moved to Pheonix Arizona where she spent the majority of her life. She never felt like she fit in there though. Bella was much to clumsy for her own good, she tries to avoid dancing and sports as much as possible. When Bella's mom remarried Bella moved back to Forks because she felt guilty that her mother stayed at home with her while Phil traveled. When Bella started school she was greeted right away and instantly made friends ith a few people. She first saw Edward and his family at lunch and was told that they generally keep to themselves. In Biology Bella was forced to take a seat next to Edward, because it was the only empty seat in the room. he racted strangely to her and made her think that he hated her. It wasn't until 2 weeks later when Edward returned and was able to properly meet him. After a while Bella found out about his secret and accepted him as a vampire. He saved her several times andand made it his mission to keep her safe. The two fell in love despite the odds against them. They eventually got married when Bella was 18 on August 13th one month before her 19th birthday. Bella got pregnant on her honeymoon and had a baby girl name Renesmee. Bella lost so much blood that Edward had to inject venom staight into her heart using a needle and venome that he put in it. Edward was barely able to save her.

History- When Bella went on her honeymoon with Edward, to fill her one human condition(sex) she conceived Renesmee. At first Edward was desperate to remove the fetus from Bella before it could do any harm to her, or suck her life away. But Bella was determined to survive the pregnancy. Bella chose and Named the Baby after Renee and Esme. Renesmee grew from conception to Birth in a month. Even though the process of her birth almost killed Bella. Moments after when she was taken downstairs Renesmee met Jacob and he imprinted. Renesmee continued to grow at an exponentionally fast rate. When Irina comes to visits and sees the child from a far she thiks it is one of the immortal children the ones that caused her mothers demise. So she ran and went to the Volturi, which brought down the ENTIRE guard even the wives on The Cullen Family. Renesmee is forced to prove the story of her bith to all the vampires that come to witness for the Cullens that she is indeed not an immortal child. When the time comes she convinces even Aro of the truth. and although he almost still orders for her death because of the uncertainty of herof her surroundings and der development, they all survive.

History- Jake met Bella about one month after she moved into town(or if you go by the movie, the first day). He told Bella the story of the "Cold Ones." It was Jake's Great granfather that made the treaty. Even though Jake at the time didn't believe in any if the old myths or legends he still delivered the message from his father Billy, "We will be watching." and suggested that she should break up with her boyfriend. Bella naturally refused. After Edward left Bella,  about 5 months later Bella asked Jake for help to fix up two broken motorcycles. There friendship grew from that point and Jake hoped that they could become more than friends. AFter a while Jake and the rest of the Quileute boys on the "rez" expierienced great growth spurts Even though most of the boys are in there mid teens, they looked in there 20's. Later on when Jake went to the movies with Bella and to his disdain, mike as well, later that night Jake went home feeling ill. At home Jake changed into a mysterious creature that he didn't know. He was very tall and with paws instead of hands and when he spoke it was a growl. Later his father explained that he was a werewolf and that the vampires nearby are what triggerd it when he hit pubberty. And since he wasn't able to control his anger Jake was told to stay away from Bella.

Later Jake and his pack came across Laurent in the woods and Bella was there. They ran after him and tore him to shreds. Later Jake was able to suggest to Bella something that helped her to realize he was a werewolf. After Bella knew what he was Jake included her in most of the LaPush stuff like cliff diving. While trying to track Victoria one day he saw Bella jump off a cliff on her own, and he jumped in and saved her after she nearly drowned. Sooon after Alice came back to Forks and wisked Bella off to italy even though Jake begged Bella not to go. Jake stayed at the Swan home after Bella left then, soon after, the phone rang and Jake told the man on the phone-which he thought was Carlisle- that Charlie was at a funeral, (but it was Edward on the phone). When Edward and Bella returned, Jake made sure that Bella got grounded by showing Charlie the motorcycles. Jacob stayed away from Bella for a couple of weeks while she was grounded, avoiding her phone calls and only sending a very short note of why he couldn't see or talk to her. Jake feared the worst one weekend when Bella and Edward aleft, so he broke his silence to her by calling to make sure she was still human.

When the scent of an unknown vampire is picked up in Bella's room, Jacob jumps up at the request to help track him down. He even goes as far one night to tell her he's in love with her and then he forcubly kisses her and won't let go till he's done! Bella punches him in the face afterwards and breaks her hand instead of hurting him. Later on they find out that Victoria is coming with a group of newborn vampires to come and get revenge. Jakes pack and The Cullens fight together and win. Later on Bella reveals to jake that she does love him to but she loves Edward more and that she can't live without him. An undetermined amount of time later Jake gets an invitation to Bella and edwards wedding, the news is to much to bear and it shatters Jakes heart and he takes off and changes into his wolf form and isn't seen again from a month. He runs up to Canada and doesn't take human shape at all. It isn't until The night of Bella's wedding that Jake returns to Forks. He shows up as a gift to Bella, but when he hears of her plans for her honeymoon he looses it and the wolves and Edward show up instantly. Edward pulls Bella behind him and Seth and Sam push Jake back into the woods, But not before making the promise that he'll kill Edward.

Later on an unusual ammount of wolves have been imprinting and Jake talks to his best friend Quil about it. Jake admired how Quil was with Clair even though she was still a baby. then they heard a howl, sam. when they arrived Sam explained how Charlie had called Bily and was freaking out that Bella caught a rare disease down in South America and was being quarantined. Even though Jake was instantly ready to fight the others weren't because it was Bella's choice. Determined to fight Jake heads to the Cullens house but not before saying goodbye to his father. When Jake got to the Cullens house Carlisle answered the door and didn't want to let Jake in, but Bella called out to him and he let Jake in. The first thing Jake noticed was the crazed look in Edwards eyes. Then he saw Bella and realized she was still human and VERy pregnant. Edward very determined asks to see Jake outsided, then he explains that the baby inside is killing her and wants to get rid of it. But Bella has asked to keep it and Rosalie is protecting her. Jake goes back to the pack. Sam wants to fight and kill teh baby and Jake stands his ground refusing to harm Bella. Sam tries to command him since he is Alpha but since Jake is technically the Alpha he is able to resist and he leaves the pack. Sam and Leah join him making a pack of there own with him as the Alpha. Later on Jake imprints on Renesmee, Jake goes a little overboard on Bella by not wanting her near Renesmee. but after a while Jake is able to finally adjust to eveything and realizes that Bella is the mother. And Bella and Jake get to Stay the best friends they were meant to be and He and Edward become friends.

History- Alice was kept in an asylum while she was human because of her visions. There she was a favorite of a vampire who worked there. James the tracker took the challenge of hunting her simply because another vampire desire her. Once it was clear to the vampire that liked Alice that James was after her he took her away  from the asylum and changed her so that James couldn't kill her. James killed the other vampire instead. She has no memory of these events and was left to find her own way. At some point Alice had a vision of jasper and he was searching for something. Alice provided him with what he was looking for. In 1948 she found Jasper and by 1950 they found Carlisle and his family through another one of hir visions. they have been members of the family ever since. Alice and Jasper are officially married, but unlike Roslaie and Emmett once was enough. Alice became good friends with Bella and in 2006 when the cullens leave it is she who first returns to check up on Bella. Alice loves Bella like a sister.

History- (to read Jaspers WHOLE story you can find it in Eclipse)Jasper served as a major in the confederate army during the Civil War. The vampire family that changed him were very different from teh Cullens in there dietary habbits- they fed off of humans. Jasper became depressed in this way of life and left. His search for a new life brought him to Alice in 1948. Which led him to Carlisle in 1950. Jasper uses the name Hale because he and Rosalie look so much alike that people assume they are twins. and Rosalie insists on using Hale, so its his too. He would do ANYTHING for Alice because she is his whole life. And even though he respects the whole family, he isn't bound to them the way he is to Alice.

History- Emmett was out up in the mountains of Tennessee when he was attacked by a bear. He was very nearly dying when Rosalie found him, she didn't think she would be able to save him so she carried him all the way back to Carlisle and had him change Emmett. Emmett describes the scene as being saved by an angel(Rosalie) and being taken to god. After the pain ended Carlisle and Rosalie explained everyting to him including what he was, and to there shock he took everything well and in his own words said, "But if Carlisle and Rosalie, my angel, were vampires how bad could it be?" He had trouble with the rules at first, tasting human blood on several occasions. He is married to Rosalie and has married her seven times now just for show. Emmett will do anything to make Rose happy, and since rosalie likes attention and loves a show, she getts a wedding for a present every so many years. Often times he and Rosalie live away from home as a newlywed couple.

History- (You can find Rosalies EXACT history in Eclipse) Rosalie was brought into the Cullen family as a companion for Edward, but the two never responded as anything other than a brother and sister. In 1935 Rose saves Emmett from a bear attack and takes him to Carlisle. She has married Emmett publicly 7 times now. Because she is all about the show and being fussed over. Rosalies TRUE defining trait is her beauty, like Emmett's strength- they both are physical. Which makes them the perfect match. It is Rosalie who tells Edward that Bella is dead and sets him off on a mission to kill himself. She later apologizes. She is-other than Edward- the only Cullen that votes against Bella becoming a vampire, saying to Bella, "It's not that i have an eversion to you being my sister it's just that this isn't the life i would have chosen...i wish there had been somone there to vote no for me."(New Moon, Ch 24)

History- (His story can be found in the Beginning of New Moon) The son of a Anglican pastor. Carlisle was raised during a time of religious persecution. His father led hunts for vampires, witches, and werewolves all in name of ridding evil. As his father grew older Carlisle was put in charge of the raids. Carlisle wasn't as quick to call someone a witch, vampire or werewolf or as enthusiastic about killing them as his father was. But he was clever enough to discover a coven of vampires in the sewers. He set a trap for one and chased him down. Carlisle believes that the vampire was to hungry/thirsy to run and consciously decided to attack.The vampire fell on Carlisle and left him bleeding in the strrets after killing two more and carrying a third off. Kowing how his father would react carlisle crawled off and hid in a cellar of rotten potatoes for three days of the change. At first he tried killing himself by jumping off of cliffs and trying to drown himself but all failed. He was so repelled by what he was that he sustained from killing or hurting gumans. He even tried to kill himself with starvation. But one night it was so thirsty that he attacked a herd of deer. After that Carlisle realized that he didn't have to drink from humans and that he could simply drink from animals and so he found a humain way to live.

Carlisle joined the Volturi for a short time and then left when they tried to persuade him to drink from humans. Eventually carlisle found Edward and changed him when he was deiying of the spanish influenza. Then not too long after that he saved Esme after she had thrown herself off a cliff and tried to kill herself. Then he found Rosalie dying in the street and changed her. Rosalir brought back Emmett after being mauled by a bear and Carlise changed him because she didn't think she would be able to do it.

Since then carlise has been not only a leader but a father to the family.

History- Esme was the last of her friends to marry. She was thinking of movig to the West to be a school teacher, but her father didn't think that it was respectable for a young lady to live alone in the wilds. The son of a family friend wanted to marry her, he was very well respected, and her father pressured her to marry him. She was indifferent to Charles Evenson but not opposed to him. She married him in 1917 at age 22, and quickly found out that it was a bad idea. charles "public" face was much different than his private place. He abused her. Her parents counseled her and told her to be a good wife and keep quiet. When he was drafted into WW11 it was a major relief, but when he came back in 1919 it was terrifying. Shortly after his return Esme found out she was pregnant, this made her want to escape. She didn't want the baby to be brought up in that home. She ran away in 1920 and lived with her cousin in Milwaukee. Then moved farther north when the news of her wherabouts reached her parents. She blended in easily pretendindg to be one of the war widows. She taught school outside a small town called Ashland. Then when her baby died in 1921 from a lung infection a few days after it was born, Esme had nothing left. She jumped off a cliff and tried to kill herself. Carlisle remembered her from when she was a child and she had broken her leg when she was 16. He remembered her as the happy little kid she'd been. He didn't want her to die so he saved her. When she opened her eyes, in all that pain, she  saw the face that she'd never forgotten in a decade, and she felt relieved. She was not really upset that she became a vampire, but she dind't take it in stride like Emmett did. She was happy though, to be with the man/vampire of her dreams. She still had a mothering ache though, and since she was the oldest,physically, of the Cullens, she fell into a mothering role.
