As you all know, New Moon was released yesterday, so I went to see it at the 7:10 showing at my local movie theaters, and wow, it was cool! Sure, the end was a giant cliff-hanger, but we all know the answer! Also, the fight scene that everbody's seen in the previews was uber awesomus. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out... a bit. Ooh! Jasper DIDN'T look like he was on something, AND he spoke.

Hey again. As far as news goes, Robert's decided to quit acting after the Twilight Saga's over, Taylor's still the hottest thing on earth with more muscles than before, Death Cab for Cutie's got a music video with New Moon clips, and I can't seem to copy anything from the author's site. Let's just say the songs for New Moon have been released... and the poster picture is released.
Yeah, sure it looks hot, but Jasper still looks like he's on crack, XD. Everyone else looks cool, though. Too bad you can't see Taylor in it.

Heyllo. Yes, I'm out of the loop; if you want my personal opinion, all you have to do is ask. For those of you who don't know, New Moon's coming out in November. I hope it's better than Twilight, cause that was kinda cheesie if you watch it enough.... Anyway, here's a quote from Stephenie's site:
"There are a lot of things I should be doing updates on—for example, how awesome and successful the Book Babe event was, and how cool it was to meet all the other authors and hang out with them a little bit, and how much I appreciated all the tremendous support from the fans—but instead of commenting on happy things (which I admit I should have done a week ago; I was waiting for things to slow down for a day, silly me!), I'm commenting on ridiculous internet rumors so that my publicist's day will be just a little bit better.
I am not being sued. No one has contacted me or my publisher to inform either of us that I'm being sued. I never had a roommate named Heidi. There is no professor in the BYU English department named Dr. Peter Benton (though there is a character on ER by that name). And most of all, I began writing Twilight exactly the way I've told people in countless interviews and events for the past six years: I had a cool dream, I wrote it down, writing it down was really fun, so I kept writing until I had a whole book.
The sad thing about this silly situation is that so many legitimate news outlets reported it without doing any research at all to determine if there was any truth to the story. And at least two of these facts are really, really easy to confirm. Particularly, the one about the BYU professor. A simple on-line search can give you that information. Also, a quick call to my publisher would have cleared up the whole lawsuit story. (Kudos to the fansites who did their due diligence and debunked this rumor days ago.)
I guess the moral of the story is that—big surprise—you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Seems like it's April Fool's Day every day on-line. So no worries, the filming of New Moon continues uninterrupted. And, to end this on a bright note, the filming of New Moon continues to be awesome. It's all so beautiful! Chris Weitz is brilliant. Kristen, Rob, and Taylor are beyond words. I have gotten choked up more than once on set due to their amazing performances. I can't wait to see it all put together!
Steph"
Eventful month, huh?
Happy late New Year! Anywho, yahoo about New Moon becoming a movie. But it's sad that the director of Twilight was unable to continue. We'll see how Chris Weitz does. Here's something from Stephenie's site five or six days ago:

Since 2008 is almost over, I thought I would take a minute to congratulate Stephenie on a successful year. A lot of very exciting things have happened this year, and it has been fun for those of us who are fans of the writing to follow along.
Several major media outlets have also noted the success, and (as long as I am posting something that Stephenie probably wouldn't approve of) I thought I would post a few of the links for those of you who haven't heard about the recognition and praise that she has received for the year of 2008:
OK, I know that the AZ Republic may not be as big as TIME, but it is a very cool experience to be able to open up the paper and be surprised by an article about a family member, so I thought I would include it. Anyway, congrats, Stephenie, and thanks to everyone for joining us during this crazy and exciting year. We wish you all the best in 2009!

I see I have neglected my duty to fill you in on Twilighty news, so sorry! Anyone enjoy the movie? I sure did. And they announced the making of New Moon almost instantly! I've been hearing rumors that Midnight Sun is coming back.... but I'm not sure.
Another update today. Isn't that cover pretty? And yahoo to the soundtrack! Seth's note here:

Elizabeth sent this to me yesterday:
USA Weekend Magazine has given us the exclusive first look at their Twilight cover for this weekend (its November 14-16 issue). USA WEEKEND will also feature an exclusive Twilight poster inside. Click here to see which local paper in your area carries USA Weekend.

Also, I have been forwarded the following news from Atlantic Records (the company that produced the soundtrack):
"Twilight Soundtrack is #1!
It has been confirmed today that the Twilight Soundtrack is the #1 most-selling album this week in the U.S. according to Billboard! This is a huge feat for a soundtrack BEFORE the movie has even been released, and really goes to show the passion and dedication of all you Twi-hards out there. So a huge thanks to everyone who picked up a copy, we hope you are loving it!"

Sorry I missed so much, but over the time I was gone, the Twilight Movie Soundtrack was released AND the countdown for the movie has begun! Ten days til happiness (Hopefully, I have high expectations. BUt then I think we all do.) I'll post the countdown on the top of this page.
OH! And there have been a lot of articles about the movie as well. Here are the links:
This one's short, so i don't see why they even bother, but.......

November 10, 2008
Twilight Movie News (and yes, there are only 11 days left!):
For those of you who have emailed me about the Twilight Talent Tour (see October 31st post), I am very sorry. I promised to post more information, and I forgot because the information was never forwarded to me. If you are interested, click here for the complete list of locations and rules.
And that is not the only thing that I feel guilty about. Over the weekend I read several movie blogs that discussed the pre-sales of movie tickets. All of the articles that I read mentioned that a lot of showings from the opening weekend are already sold out. Sites like Fandango and MovieTickets.com have been selling tickets for a couple of weeks and we have not made any mention of it on our site. Consider yourself warned!
And finally, in case you haven't heard it from anyone else, there will be an exclusive clip from the movie shown during Heroes tonight on NBC. Although I haven't heard anything about the clip, I would suggest tuning in because I think Heroes is a pretty good show.

Entertainment Weekly has given us permission to exclusively reveal of one of three Twilight covers hitting newsstands this weekend. Click here to see Rob Pattinson's solo cover and read the article. EW.com will reveal Kristen Stewart's cover tomorrow.

Once again, the movie page has been updated with some really cool items. In order to celebrate tomorrow (the Twilight soundtrack on-sale date), we are streaming "Spotlight (Twilight Mix)" by Mutemath. Also, we have embedded the music video of "Decode" by Paramore. Go to the movie page and enjoy!
