 Non-Fiction Needs:

The Twighlight Manor Press is joining forces with The Pidgie Fund. Plans are underway to compile a series of positive non-fiction "true stories" about pets and animals. Submission Guidelines are being written up for this project. Check back for updates on this project. This project is open to submissions for uplifting true stories about your pets.

 Poetry Needs:

  Sometimes accepts poetry, if it tells a story and has strong characters. Same as fiction needs, plus: seeks longer "epic length" story poems akin to Robert Browning's, Pied Piper of Hamlin or Edgar Allan Poe'sRaven or Dr. Suess' Green Eggs & Ham. Prefers long rhyming poems with strong characters and a story plot.

 Fiction, Non-Fiction, & Poetry Rejects:

Seeks only "family friendly" and "rated PG-13 or less" stories. Rejects all stories that contain: hatred, sex, gore, drugs, smoking, politics, drinking, suicide, cutting, depressive self-pity, swearing, vulgar verbology, hunting, death glorification, animal abuse, child abuse, elder abuse, expose`, abortion, and stories about "how my teenage years were crap".

Makes some minor exceptions if content is brief and required for the story, but this is rare.

 NOTE: The Twighlight Manor series does not fall under this guideline, these gothic horror stories are Rated M for mature.

Poetry Rejects: Same as fiction rejects, plus:  Does not accept free-verse poetry, haiki, poems without characters, poems without plots, or poems without rhythem.

 Advice:

 We like to see strong characters. Character driven stories. Well written plots. We like fantasy realms, dreamscapes, and alien planets. Creativity is always welcomed. Pirates are always good, we need more pirates.

Rarely uses illustrations. Illustrations provided by author. B&W, pen & ink, line art only ... no pencil, no shading, no grey-scale, no color, our printer well not accept them. We do not resize or edit artwork. All illustrations must be 4" x 6" or smaller and camera ready. Do not send originals. Email files as atactment. (But not fan-fiction. We do not publish fan-fiction. These are just examples of the types of well-know stories we like to read.)
