Space Dock 13:

Well, when I started this page of Space Dock 13 I thought I could fit all the links to my fanlistings here, but than I realized that, I'm a member of some 200 odd listinings and plan to join some 400 or 500 more of them, I own 4 and have applications pending for 20 more and no dought as time goes by I'll sign up for even more. So, taking all that into consideration, I realized that this one page will not be big enough to list them all. I have just finished creating a mew web site, just for listing my fanlisting memberships and ownerships on, so if you are interested in following the updates for this part of my website, please head there instead. EK's Fanlisting Memberships (and ownerships):

Okay, so most of you already know that I'm an overblown fanatic of just about everything right? Right. Well, after a while of getting to know me, most people end up pondering the question..."Is there anything out there that you are NOT a fan of?" or "So just exactly how many things are you a fan of anyways?"....as part of my fan following, I happen to also be a fan of fanlistings...what a surprise. Well, as popular as fanlistings are, it seems that most people I talk to have no idea what a fanlisting is. A fanlisting is basicly an offical list of people who are fans (in the true super fantical sence of the word) of a particular person, item, thing, or place...it can be anything from being the fan of an actor or musician to the fan of a book, a song, or a fictional charater...a fan of a movie, or a cartoon; a comic book or your favorite vacation spot...a car or a pet, or just about anything else you can think up.

Fanlistings can be small groups for obscure almost not heard of people/things with only a handful of members worldwide or huge groups with thousands of members. The site it self can be a simple page with a single photo and a list of names of the members, or it can be a massive web site with photo gallaries and detialed histories that go on for page after page.

There are thousands and thousands of fanlistings, but only one fanlisting is allowed, world wide, for each person/place/thing so getting a change to own the fanlisting for your favorite person/place/thing can be next to impossible. Saddly both the Scrooge and Don Rosa fanlistings are already taken, but I'm on the waiting list, should the owners ever decide to quit. On a happier note though, after searching the database I found that Darkwing Duck, NegaDuck, C*C*DeVille, and the Town of Old Orchard Beach, each did not have a fanlisting, applications were open for them, so you know I grabbed the chance to sign up, and now I own all 4 of them. Happy Day!

Every fanlisting is  differant, but they have many simalarities...for one thing they all have a web site run by a major fan, they are all open to membership for fans in any part of the globe, membership is always free (all you need is your name, your country, and a valid email), and each listing provides codes and banner links for you to "advertise" your fandom on all of your websites.

So, if you are like me and have a cult following to a person/place/or thing, than you should belong to the fanlisting for it...let the world know you are a fan. If you are a uber major rabid fan of something and you are skilled as a web master (which doesn't take much skill really) than you should try to get a hold of the fanlisting, if there isn't one start it, if it's out there, get on the waiting list to own it should it's current owner ever give it up....and always, always, always join and link back to your fave fanlistings.
