The Tuttle Times

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Greetings! For those of you that don't already know, we have committed to fulltime missionary service with Teen Missions International.  God began a work in our hearts 16 years ago and has shown us that now is the time He desires to complete it! This is an awesome organization desiring to give youth the opportunity to experience real missions NOW instead of waiting until they are older. They have been around since 1970 and have since sent out over 42,000 kids to do the work of the Lord! They also have ministries worldwide, including: missionary training for youth in 24 different countries, Bible, Missionary and Work Training Centers around the world and 32 AIDS Orphan Rescue Units in Subsahara Africa. We are so excited about the opportunity to work with an ministry like Teen Missions!

We have been asked what our responsibility will be within the ministry. First we will move to Merritt Island, Florida where Teen Missions headquarters are located. We will be living in a trailer about 5 minutes away. During the schoolyear we will work at the headquarters preparing for the summer teams. It takes the full year to get everything ready for the summer. Amber will be working in the Teen Missions office in whatever department she is needed, hopefully working to increase the public relations aspect of the ministry. Brian will most likely be working in the computer department and also mechanics shop. We will be out of the country leading teams in the summer and our children will go with us. There is the possibility that we could leave the country during the school year also, if needs arise at overseas bases. This is a ministry that requires flexibility from its staff, as the needs of the ministry are always changing and we are excited to be used by the Lord in a variety of ways!

As of now.

We are at the beginning of our journey! We have made this committment to God and Teen Missions. The next step is selling our home and raising our financial support. Teen Missions likes for new staff to have at least 3 months of living expenses in our account before arriving. We also need to have commitments of monthly supporters before leaving. We need to raise $3,000 monthly to cover a variety of needs. Several hundred dollars a month will be set aside to cover traveling expenses in the summer for the whole family. About 375.oo a month goes to help the cost of the ministries of Teen Missions. We will be taxed on our monthly support, because it is considered income by the government. The remainder of our monthly support will pay for health insurance, ulitilities, food, phone, ect. It is very important to us to use the money God provides for us through our supporters with integrity and wisdom! Please be praying for us in this time on our journey.

Future goals.

Our future goals at this time are to arrive at Teen Missions in God's perfect timing and to trust Him to meet all our needs! We hope to be an asset to this ministry and consider it a priviledge to have this opportunity to serve fulltime in missions.
