| We are a side of Morris dancers that do mainly Cotwold style (with some Border and anything else that comes along). We dance around Christchurch and anywhere else that we can annoy people. For their own entertainment of course. We meet and practice on a Tuesday evening at about eight o'clock, in the Somerfield Hall in Studholme Street, off Somerfield Street, in Somerfield. The Tussock Jumpers started about 1980 in the days when Morris sides were popping up all over the country. For a while there were four sides in Christchurch. Erewhon Morris, The Tussock Jumpers, Stone the Crows, and The Magic Mushrooms. Now there are two sides here, the Tussock Jumpers and Norwest Arch, who do Norwest style Morris. See link below. |
