Warhammer 40.000

"In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war..."

Warhammer- games are about playing stratetigal wargames with your friends, with miniatures you have builded and painted. Each army has huge range of models, with infantry squads, heroes, tanks and awesome warmachines!

The battles are fight as armies of 41st millenium, so do not surprise if your armys selection contains plasma, ion and laser weapons! This futuristic idea gives the game a great and deep history and fantastic armies.

Warhammer 40.000 armies

space marines, imperial guard, tyranids, daemonhunters, witch hunters, orks, eldar, dark eldar, chaos space marines, necrons and tau.

Armies that I collect have a strong firepower, stand and shoot is my thing! Somebody may call this boring, but I feel pleased with the victories that this tactic has given for me! =)

PAINTING:

Painting miniatures is one big part of the hobby; non-painted army is not allowed to play in most tournaments. Someone paints figures fast, to get gaming quickly. There is also painters who do not play with their figures, just paint them for the painting competitions. These figures are painted using many techniques; Blending, Highlighting, Drybrushing, Inking... There is techinque for everyone!

Blending is the most respected technique. There you paint very thing glazes and change the colour from dark to lighter. The best painters use blending in all figures, it takes time, but gives very smooth and cool finish.

Drybrushing is usually the first techinique painter learns. This gives you shadows to rough surfaces, such as fur, cloaks, hair and metal areas. It works like this: Take paint to your brush, and then wipe most of it away, to tissuepaper for example. Then brush the area with fast, wiping handmoves. Paint gets on the high surfaces, but does not reach the lower sections. Drybrushing works best when the base is dark and the drybrushed colour lighter.

Inking can be used by it ´s own, or after drybrushing. It gives the surface even deeper feeling. There you use very watery paints, inks! You ink the area and the wet paint goes to low areas to create shadows.
