Benji Rushing began his journey in UPKUDO with Sensei Debbie in August, 2003.  He loved his dojo family, instructor and martial arts style with his entire being.  He always wore a smile and lit up the entire room whenever he walked through the door.  Benji had a great impact on the lives of everyone he touched.  Unfortunately, in August, 2005 Benji passed away.  Benji was a green belt at the time and with Grand Master Baker and Renshi Anne's blessings he was made a honorary black belt.  He will always be missed, but his spirit will always be with us.
