True Love Waits

Song of Solomon 2:7 "Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, not to awaken love until the time is right."

Already Ruined?

Dear Mandy,

I have already screwed up completely. Can I still be saved? Everyone says yes, but is it true? If so, is this site still for me?

Already Ruined?

Dear Already Ruined?

Let me start off by saying that you have an excellent question. It is a common one at that and I feel the need to make it stand out more than the others because the answer is so important.

The answer to your question "Can I still be saved?" is Yes...but I don't want to leave anything out because you specifically stated that everyone says yes which leads me to think that people may not tell you the full story. Sin has consequences, as I'm sure you know, and it hurts. But there is forgiveness. True. Real. Genuine. Forgiveness. Jesus took on all of our sins on the cross; even the ones we haven't committed yet and He took the punishment for them. He loves you the same as the day you were born and there's nothing in the world that could make Him love you any less! You belong to Him! And He fought with Satan for you and now all you need to do is allow Jesus to take control. Your life will not necessarily be easier, but you will not be alone. You will have a purpose and I can not tell you how amazing that feels! To go through something as dramatic as you did and coming out of it knowing that it was not in vain is so reassuring.

Now how do you do it? Talk to Him. He's listening. Tell Him you want Him to take control and to be your purpose from now on. Ask Him to forgive you. And He will. Lift up all you burdens and your heartaches. He can't wait to hear from you.

What do you do from here? Understand God and His purpose for your life. And what better way to do that then to read from to love letter He wrote to you. Start in the New Testament and you will hear of Jesus and the life He lived on Earth hanging out with people like you, wanting to know what to do when they know they've messed up. And try and find a church in your area that teaches from the Bible and that you feel connected with.

Now your question is "Is this site still for me?" Well, I have a question for you...are you willing to live a lifestyle that reflects Christ today, tomorrow and forever?

I would especially encourage you to take in all the information from this site, and the experience you went through and use it in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.

If you need anything else, you know where to find me! ;o)

With Help,

Mandy
