About two months ago, my family and I were confronted with the diagnosis of a brain aneurysm. My mother was relaxing from a very ordinary day, when she began to mention sharp pains in her neck and head. All at once, she began to vomit constantly without any letup for an approximate hour. Throughout this time, my mother began losing consciousness. Thankfully, my father made the best decision to contact
was performed; a clipping procedure was done to secure the aneurysm.
Fortunately, my mother has made steady improvements following her surgery. I know that her determined will, spirit, prayers and faith have all contributed in a large way. At this point, my mother is experiencing residual headaches that are undoubtedly part of her healing process; thereby, we are greatly inclined to accept any suggestions that can be given to help to relieve her pain. Besides the general weakness she has on the side of her body that her aneurysm occurred, and overall fatigue; we’re blessed that she isn’t living with the many residual effects, as so many other persons that have been affected by aneurysms. Since the unexpected diagnosis, my family and I have done extensive research to learn as much as possible about the origin, the recovery phase, etc. of brain aneurysms. However, text doesn’t substitute for those that are survivors, or that has been impacted by brain aneurysms.
If you’re a survivor of a brain aneurysm, or know of someone that is a survivor, I encourage you to please accept membership into True Survivors. Relate the experiences you’ve encountered while recovering from your aneurysm. I intend for this group to be used as an informative platform to educate others about the possibility of a brain aneurysm, the methods that can be used to detect a brain aneurysm, and the treatments that are available.
