SC Marathon

Don't forget, the SCV Marathon is on November 5th. We will be working the Mile 6 marker, which is on the paseo between Rio and the Belcaro development. The detailed map is here. Also an early mile, so we're done early. We need to be there at 6:45, ending at 8:40. Breakfast afterwards, anyone?

Older Girl Ski Weekend/Older Girl Weekend

Council is putting on a ski weekend for all older girls. This is a weekend trip to Sierra Summit Feb 9th-11th. The cost includes tranportation from Bakersfield, lodging, meals, 2 days of ski rentals and lift tickets. It is $250 for beginners, and includes 3 lessons, or $275 for experienced skiers. The full flyer and registration is on the forms & rosters page. Registration is due by December 1st ($50 deposit), with final payment due January 15th. I think it sounds like a lot of fun, and that the girls would really enjoy the trip. This is an individual girl event - not a troop event - meaning they will be supervised by adults, but not by us!!!

Just as an FYI - our SCV Older Girl Weekend at Camp Seeley would be the weekend prior to this. This is a troop event; please send your $65 with your daughter to the November meeting. The flyer on it is also on the forms & rosters page.
