Introduction (from readme file)

After the first episode in Alexandria, where Lara found the famous last letter of Aristoteles, she´s going back again to the coastal city, to get another fantastic artifact; the sword of Alexander the Great. First you will visit the old catacombs at the coast, where you must find your way through ancient, byzantine ruins, until you get in the end the artifact. It´s a classical TR-game in TR4 style.

WALKTHROUGH

  Alexander's Tomb II

The level begins with Lara sliding into an ancient room. Drop down to the lower level and head into the north room. Shoot the pots and pickup the small medipack. Exit and enter the south room. Pull the column in the south/east corner and climb the ladder on the east wall. Drop into the room above and shoot the two black spiders. Shoot the pot on the right and pickup the Shotgun ammo. Push the floor lever, opening a door in the previous area and exit. Enter the newly opened door in the west wall and watch a cutscene with lovely background music. Head forward and climb down the ladder in the north/west corner of the pool. Push the button in the alcove and climb back out. Climb the ladder on the column on the east wall. Take a running jump and grab the first ledge. Running jump to the second and running jump and grab the third. Take a running jump and grab the rope and swing to the ledge north. Climb into the crawlspace and push the floor lever, flooding the pool and opening a gate. Exit crawlspace and drop to lower floor. Enter the newly opened gate in the south wall into a new room.
 
Face south and take a running jump and grab the ledge. Turn left and take a running jump to the ledge in the corner. Turn right, take a standing jump and grab the south ledge and pickup the Shotgun ammo. Face west, arm weapons and shoot the flying Scarab. Grab the crevice in the south wall and shimmy right as far as possible. Take a running jump and grab the last ledge and enter the alcove. Push the button, lowering a rope. Exit the alcove and take a running jump and grab back to the ledge ahead. Take a running jump and grab the rope and swing to the north/east corner of the room. Push the wall button, opening a gate in the previous room and safety drop to the lower west ledge (minor loss of life). Return through the east entrance to the previous room, arm weapons and enter the right corridor.
 
Shoot the two ravenous wolves, enter the room and drop into the unfilled pool on the left. Enter through the newly opened gate and take a running jump and grab the jump switch ahead, opening a door in the pool. Slide down the sloped block and before you reach the end, reverse roll and grab the ladder on the opposite wall. Climb the ladder and exit back through the corridor in the north wall. Drop into the pool and swim through the newly opened door in the north wall. When you reach the room at the end, reverse roll and exit back out. Climb out of the pool and shoot the crocodile that followed. Drop back into the pool and pickup the Secret Keys the croc left behind (needed for Secret #1). Swim through the corridor, pickup the Crowbar in the back room and exit. Head through the door in the south wall, back to the room with the ledges.
 
Face south and take a running jump and grab the ledge. Turn left and take a running jump to the ledge in the corner. Angle left and jump and grab the ladder. Climb down to the bottom, arm weapons and shoot the Armoured Warrior. [tip: When the warrior gets close, take a standing jump over him, reverse roll and two backflips while shooting. Repeat until he falls. Don't get too close to the west wall, as this will alert a second warrior.] Enter the north room and pickup the big medipack on the pedestal. Exit, arm weapons and shoot another Armoured Warrior in the west room. Enter the west room and use the crowbar to pry the Golden Star off the wall. Exit, climb the ladder and drop to the ledge on the right. Angle south/west and take a running jump to the ledge. Turn right and take a running jump and grab the ledge. Exit via the corridor back to the previous room and enter the right corridor. Enter the room and drop into the unfilled pool on the right. Place the Golden Star in the wall receptacle and climb back out. Descend the stairs, wade through a shallow pool and into a new area. Drop into the pool ahead, swim right, climb the ledge and into the shallow pool with the Poseidon statue.
 
Secret #1: Climb the block on the right, use the Secret Keys on the gate and enter into Secret #1. Pickup the Damask Rose and exit.
 
Climb the block with the Poseidon statue and climb into the crawlspace behind. Pull the moveable object once and pickup the Silver Keys behind. Exit back through the crawlspace as a swarm of beetles follows. Exit the crawlspace, wade through the shallow water and climb the ledge at the end. Drop into the water, swim right and climb the ledge on the right (south). Enter the room on the left, reverse roll, arm weapons and shoot the 3 warthogs. Pickup the small medipack and use the Silver Key in the lock on the wall. Watch a cutscene of a gate opening in the area. Drop into the water, swim to the north/east corner of the pool and climb out. Turn right, jump up and grab the block to the right of the fat palm tree. Enter the gate, turn left and drop into the water. Swim past the spikes and pull the underwater lever on the back wall. Reverse roll, avoid the spikes (and the key for now) and exit the water. Climb the ladder, shift left and drop to the upper level floor. Exit the room through the west gate.
 
Secret #2: Take a running jump to the south/west ledge and turn left (south). Take a running jump to the roof, head to the other side and pickup the Shotgun which is Secret #2. Turn around and take a running jump back to the ledge.
 
Drop into the pool and enter the newly opened underwater door. Follow the corridor and surface into a new room. Pull up onto the sloped block in the north/west corner. Immediately jump, reverse roll, land on another slope. Slide, jump and grab the edge of the alcove. Pull up and shoot the ball, raising a block in the pool. Drop into the water, pull up onto the block and take a standing jump east. Arm weapons and shoot the Armoured Warrior. [tip: Shoot from the ledge and when the warrior gets close, backflip to the raised block in the water. When the warrior climbs the stairs, take a standing jump back to the ledge and repeat until he falls.] Climb the stairs, push the floor lever extinguishing the flame (it is timed) and pickup the Poseidon's Crown. Immediately jump back before the flame returns and exit the room. [tip: You can reset the lever by pushing it back to its original position and trying again, be quick though.] Dive into the pool and swim back through the underwater corridor and surface in the previous pool.
 
Swim right, climb the slanted block and take a running jump to the south ledge. Take a running jump into the water as those pesky beetles continue to bite at your ankles and place the Poseidon's Crown onto the statue. Backflip into the water, turn around and climb the north ledge at the end of the pool. Dive into the pool and climb out the other side. Head right, jump up and grab the block south/east of the fat palm tree. Head through the gate, turn left and drop into the water. Swim down and pickup the Silver Key now that the spikes are gone and exit the water. Climb the ladder, shift left and drop to the upper level floor. Head forward (south) and use the Silver Key in the lock on the right. [Note: Do NOT use this key in any other lock (eg. near the Poseidon statue) as you will be stuck with no way to proceed]. Enter through the newly opened gate (east).
 
Head right, climb the block and pickup the small medipack . Climb the block in the north/east corner of the room and pickup the Shotgun ammo . Drop down and head through the east entrance. Turn right and take two running jumps over the spiked gaps. Turn left, angle right and take a standing jump to the block on the right. Take a standing jump and grab the pole. Shift around and backflip to the ledge behind. Angle south/west, take a running jump to the ledge and push the button. Arm weapons and shoot the flying Scarab. Take a running jump right and pickup the Ruby and exit. Take running jumps over the spiked pits and head to the north wall of the main room with the pool. Climb the ladder to the left of the raised column and drop to the block. Jump up and grab the crevice and shimmy left until you can pull up. When the boulder starts to roll, jump back and grab the edge of the ledge and let it fall safely away. Head up the slope. Drop into the pool and pull the underwater lever, opening a underwater door in the previous pool. (remember the gate with the gem receptacle here) Head back down the slope, take a running jump off the ledge into the pool below and swim into the opening. Swim through the underwater corridor and surface. Head up the stairs and shoot the pots on the blocks, retracting them into the wall. Pull the moveable object in the north/east corner all the way to the south/east corner and push the button in the north/east corner , extinguishing the flames on the pedestal. Pickup the Bronze Key. Pull the moveable object in the north/west corner to the south/west corner, opening the gate above the waterfall. Climb the waterfall and enter the next area. Turn left, arm weapons and shoot the two black spiders. Shoot the pot on the pedestal and pickup the Silver Key. Head to the other side of the waterfall, shoot the pot on the pedestal and pickup the Crossbow ammo. Exit the small room, exit back through the underwater corridor and surface in the main room with the pool. Head into the corridor in the south/east corner and climb the blocks. Use the Silver and Bronze Keys in the wall receptacles, opening a gate with the gem receptacle. Exit back down the stairs and head to the north wall. Climb the ladder to the left of the raised column and drop to the block. Jump up and grab the crevice and shimmy left until you can pull up. Head up the slope. Drop into the pool and pull up into the alcove ahead. Place the Ruby in the gem receptacle, watch a cutscene of a gate opening in a previous area and exit. Take a running jump off the outer ledge, back into the pool and surface. Climb the stairs in the west wall and turn left. Enter through the newly opened gate in the south wall and descend the stairs to the bottom. Take a standing jump to the block on the left (south/east) and climb the ladder to the top. Let go and grab the jumpswitch, raising a block beneath you. Angle left and grab the crevice on the wall. Shimmy left until you can pull up and enter the corridor.
 
On the right, is a rolling boulder pathway. Follow the boulder as it rolls down and climb into the alcove on the left (east). Pickup the Shotgun ammo and wait for the boulder to roll right. Angle left and drop back into the corridor. Climb into the alcove on the left and pickup the big medipack When the boulder rolls out of the way, take a running jump over the grate (has spikes) into the opposite alcove and pickup the Crossbow. When the boulder rolls left, head right up the slope and through the newly opened gate on the right. Arm weapons and shoot the two black spiders. Enter the room and head to the south/west corner. Face the block and take a standing jump and grab. Pull up and immediately take a standing jump up the next block as spikes protract from the wall. Climb the next block and take a running jump to the ledge in the south/west corner. Turn right and from a step or two from the wall, take a running jump to the sloped block. Jump off the slope and grab the ladder on the opposite block. Climb up, quickly pickup the Pharos Knot and jump back and grab the ladder before spikes protract from the grate. Climb down, drop to the ground and head back into the boulder corridor. Head left back through the corridor, using the alcoves to avoid the boulder. Turn left at the end and take a running jump back to the stairs in the fire pool. About half way down the staircase, face west and take a running jump and grab the octagonal/diamond shaped hole in the wall. Drop into the room below and head right. Pickup the Crossbow ammo and place the Pharos Knot in the wall receptacle. Head through the newly opened gate into the next room.
 
Take a standing jump from the ledge with the palm tree to the waterfall, pull up and turn right. Pull the wall switch on the left, reverse roll and run through the gate before it closes. Slide down the slope, arm weapons and start shooting the pot at the end of the corridor to stop the spikes. Pull up into the alcove at the end and pickup the Hathor Effigy. Exit via the opening in the wall, climb the stairs, take the elevator up and pull up into the alcove in the east wall. Climb the blocks and grab the jumpswitch on the opposite wall. Climb the blocks, through the newly opened door, back to the waterfall. Head right and pickup the Ornate Handle on the left and exit back to the pool. Pull up into the alcove on the right (east), combine the Hathor Effigy with the Ornate Handle and place the Portal Guardian on the stand. Drop back into the pool and swim through the newly opened underwater door on the right (north). Reverse roll when you see the crododile, pull out of the water and take him out from the safety of the pool ledge. Drop back into the pool, swim through the door and down into an underwater hole at the end. Swim through the underwater corridor and surface into a flooded room.
 
Climb out, push the floor lever opening a door in the underwater corridor and drop back into the water. Swim back through the hole in the floor of the pool, following the left wall of the corridor. Pull the underwater lever at the end, reverse roll and follow the right wall back to the previous room, which is now half flooded. Swim through one of the alcoves in the central structure, down into a hole in the middle and surface at the end. Take a standing jump and grab the ladder, climb to the top and take a backflip to the ledge behind. Take a running jump and grab (to change trajectory) to the central structure, a standing jump over the gap and another to the south ledge. Head through the entrance on the left. Head to the back of the room and climb the block on the right, avoiding the skeleton for the moment. Take a standing jump and grab to the ledge and pull the wall switch. Drop to the ground and climb the other block on the left. Take a standing jump and grab to the ledge, pull up and arm the shotgun. Shoot the skeleton off the ledge and pull the wall switch. Drop down and head to the back of the room. Take a running jump over the hot grate and climb the newly raised block. Arm the shotgun and shoot the skeleton off the block. Jump up and grab the jumpswitch and exit the room. Take a standing jump and grab the ladder, climb to the top and climb the newly raised block in the middle. Jump up and grab the monkey swing above and swing west to the crawlspace ahead. Let go and quickly grab the edge and pull into the crawlspace. Crawl out, slide down the slope and the next level loads.
 

  Aquarius

Swim through the underwater crawlspace on the left, pickup the lasersight and Crossbow ammo and exit. Combine the Crossbow and lasersight, shoot the vase in the south/west corner and pickup the small medipack. Head north up the stairs and take a running jump to the ledge across the water. Use the Crossbow/lasersight and shoot the vase in the water. Pull the underwater lever and pull up onto the ledge. Take a running jump and grab (to change trajectory) through the newly opened door in the north/east corner. Push the wall button on the right and head up the stairs. Take a running jump and grab the slope. Pull up, turn left and take a running jump and grab the pole. Climb to about one tile from the top and take a backflip to the ledge behind. Pickup the Shotgun ammo, climb the pole and backflip to the ledge. Take a running jump and grab the edge of the ledge on the other side and pull up. Head up the slope, avoid the boulder and take a running jump and grab the greenery on the wall (it is climbable). Climb left and up into the hole in the ceiling. Pull up, turn around and take a standing jump and grab the jumpswitch. (remember the gate in this alcove) Watch a cutscene while falling into the water. Pull out of the water and head back to the south ledge. (remember ladder, wall switch underwater and gem receptacle in this area) Jump into the water, pull up and head down the stairs. Turn right and head through the newly opened door.
 
Watch a cutscene of the room with 4 pools. Climb the ledge on the right and take a standing jump north/west. Shoot the vase revealing a lock (Sapphire Key). (remember this lock for later) Climb the stairs, shoot the other 2 vases and pickup Crossbow ammo and small medipack. Reverse roll, grab edge of the top stair, let go and grab jumpswitch. Climb out of water, climb the stairs. Take a running jump and grab to the ledge and enter the newly opened door on the right (north). Take a running jump to the block, avoiding the spikes and pull the wall switch (it's timed). Reverse roll, take a standing jump off with a curve right and dash out of the room to the door at the end of the walkway before it closes. Keep running over the collapsible tiles and take a running jump off the last one to the ledge with the vase. Shoot the vase and use the crowbar to pry off the Silver Star. Take a standing jump with curve right to the next collapsible tile and another standing jump to the other around the corner. Arm powerful weapons and take out the Panther Mummy lurking outside. Exit the room, take a running jump to the south/east ledge. Turn right, take a running jump to the jagged ledge between pools and walk to the end. Arm weapons and take out the Skeleton Harpy behind. Take a standing jump south/west and shoot the vase in the south/east corner of the pool. Drop into the water, swim to the south/east corner and pull up. Place the Silver Star in the wall receptacle, turn left and climb the block. Angle left and take a running jump back to the pool perimeter. Turn right and take a standing jump back to the jagged ledge. Drop into the east pool and swim into the newly opened underwater door.
 
Immediately reverse roll, pull out of the pool and arm weapons. Shoot the shark, drop back into the water and back through the underwater door. Follow the right wall through the underwater corridor and when the ceiling seems to get lighter, reverse roll. Head up through the upper corridor to the end and surface. Pull up, climb the ladder to about one tile below the flame. Backflip, reverse roll and grab the edge of the crawlspace behind. Crawl through, shoot the chest on the right and pickup the Shotgun ammo. Slide down the slope, head right and climb out of the pool. (remember stone door and gate in this area) Head down the corridor and shoot the crocodile. Enter the pool on the left and pickup the small medipack. Exit west, down the stairs and turn right. Climb the blocks to the top and pull the wall switch in the south/west corner. Watch a cutscene of a rope lowering in the room beyond. Shoot the bones (from close range with the shotgun) but not sure if it has any effect. Head down the stairs, through the south archway and enter a room with a pool and a flame tile in the corner. Climb the column on the left, shift right, let go and grab the jumpswitch, turning off the flames. Climb out at the safe tile (east) and take a standing jump up to the ledge. Enter the room as Lara looks towards the greenery on the left. Head right and climb the column, shifting right to land on the ledge above. Face north and take a running jump and grab (to change trajectory) to the greenery and alcove behind. Pull the wall switch, deactivating the spikes on the ledge. Take a running jump back to the ledge and head left. Head to the north/west portion of the ledge and pull the pot away from the wall. Jump back and grab the edge of the ledge and shimmy to the wall. Pull the wall switch, opening an underwater door. Reverse roll, head back across the ledge and safety drop back into the previous room. Drop into the pool and enter the newly opened underwater door. Pickup the flares, swim right and surface in the next room. (remember an unraised pedestal in this area) Shoot the statue, pickup the Ruby Key and climb the south stairs.
 
Enter a beautiful pastel green room and drop into the water. Swim to the sloped block ahead, pull up and backflip to the ledge behind. Take a running jump across the gap and head to the end of the ledge. Take a running jump and grab (to change trajectory) to the alcove in the wall. Immediately backflip back into the water as a boulder rolls down the slope, into the water. Use the sloped block, backflip, running jump forward and running jump (with grab) back to the alcove. Head up the slope, pull the wall switch and watch a cutscene of a block receeding in another area. Return to the entrance, angle right and take a running jump to the ledge ahead. Angle left and take a standing jump to the next ledge. Drop to the lower block and climb the ladder. Take a running jump and grab to the west ledge. Take a running jump to the north ledge and pickup the small medipack. Turn right and take a running jump and grab to the next ledge. Arm the shotgun (or crossbow with exploding ammo) and take out the skeleton (to save ammo, you could shimmy left along the ledge and avoid him completely). Head left around the ledge and push the wall button on the east wall. Turn right, shoot the skeleton off the ledge (or jump over him to save ammo) and take a running jump to the small ledge at the end. Safety drop to the lower level (some loss of life) and head through the door. Arm weapons and take out the Panther Mummy. Climb up the newly raised pedestal in the north/west corner and pull up onto the ledge on the left. Shoot the chest on the left and pickup the large medipack. Arm weapons and shoot the Skeleton Harpy. Take a running jump and grab the rope and swing to the other side. Wait for the flames on the left to subside and run past the spiked bag to the other side of the room.
 
Secret #3: Wait for the flames to subside and enter the room. Turn left, shoot the statue which is Secret #3 and pickup the large medipack . Exit the room, timed to avoid the flames.
 
Pull the wall switch and step onto the tile in front of the sloped block. Face east, backflip, jump and grab the monkey swing above. Swing forward and wait for the flames to subside. Follow the monkey swing left and drop into the crawlspace in the wall. Crawl through, lower into the alcove and use the Ruby Key in the lock, opening a door back in the pastel green room. Crawl through the crawlspace on the left and lower back into the previous room. Exit the room, back to the ledge outside, turn right and safety drop to the floor (some loss of life). Head south, down the stairs and back to the pastel green room.
 
Drop into the water, pull up onto the sloped block ahead and backflip to the ledge behind. Enter the alcove, shoot the statue and pickup the flares. Push the wall button and watch a cutscene of the next area. Return to the pool, swim left to the north/west corner and turn left. Pickup the Shotgun ammo in the alcove on the left and swim south. Turn right at the end, swim up and surface. (remember 2 trident statues on ledge above) Shoot the statue (not sure purpose), head down the stairs and shoot the Skeleton Harpy. Turn left at the pool and enter the gate to the left of the pole on the sloped block. Pull/push the two pots to the squares in the corners, opening a door in the outer room. Exit the room, turn left and shoot another Skeleton Harpy. Push the pot on the north ledge and pickup the large medipack. (remember high door way up top) Enter the door in the west wall. Climb down the stairs, turn left, jump over the white tile to avoid floor blades and enter room with rotating drum. Wait for the drum to pass, quickly move forward and pickup the Smaragd Key. Immediately backflip to avoid the drum and exit the room. Head forward and climb the ladder. Drop onto the ledge and head to the south/east corner. Use the Smaragd Key in the lock and watch a cutscene of a black gate opening at the top of a slope. Exit east to a curved bridge and pull the wall switch on the other side (it is timed). Reverse roll, run to the bridge and take a running jump into the alcove before the door closes. Turn right, take the left corridor and jump up and grab the crawlspace on the left. Lower into the small room, push the wall button and immediately side flip right to avoid the spikes. Crawl out, lower into the corridor and head through the newly opened door. [tip: Save your game, the next room is a timed sequence and if you miss it, you will be stuck and have to reload.] Drop through the hole in the floor and pull the underwater lever (it's timed). Pull up onto the left ledge and push all four wall buttons along the perimeter before the spikes begin moving again. If you didn't make it, reload to a previous savegame and try again. Drop back into the water and enter the newly opened underwater door. Surface, pull the wall switch, sideflip to slope. Jump and grab ladder, pull up, arm weapons shoot the Armoured Warrior. Head behind the black gate, push the wall button and watch a cutscene of a door opening near the beginning. Exit the alcove and head right.
 
Secret #4: Turn right into a small alcove with a tree, jump over the low fence into Secret #4 and pickup the Tea Rose.
 
Exit through the arch at the end of the corridor and drop to the slope below. Head down to the ground floor and west to the raised block beside the pole. Climb the block and take a standing jump to the pole. Climb up and backflip to the ledge. Enter the room, head left, shoot the skeleton (or avoid him to save ammo), drop into the hole. Slide, jump over the spikes, pull wall switch, arm weapons, shoot the Armoured Warrior. Pickup the Poseidon's Crown left behind by the warrior. Run into the alcove behind the spikes and pickup the second Poseidon's Crown and exit. Head up the slope in the north/east corner, through the newly opened black gate. Place the two Poseidon Crowns on the statues and pickup the Sapphire Key on the pedestal. Exit this upper level, down the slope and head south. Turn left, drop into the water, back to the pastel green room. Swim north and climb the ledge on the right. Climb the ladder, running jump and grab ledge. Standing jump to ledge, safety drop far left corner. Head up the stairs, drop into the water hole in the floor. Pull up onto ledge, exit, turn left, climb into newly opened sloped corridor. Run right, avoid the boulder and crawl into crawlspace at top. Lower down other side, drop into water. Swim through maze back to area with 4 pools. Surface, climb north ledge, take standing jump to room north/west. Use the Sapphire Key in the lock west wall, reverse roll and drop into the pool. Pickup the flares and swim left, through the newly opened door. Keep low to the ground to avoid the darts and pickup the large medipack in the left alcove, pull the underwater lever in the middle and pickup the Shotgun ammo on the right. Exit the pool via south ledge and turn right. Standing jump to the jagged ledge between pools. Standing jump to south/west ledge. Head into the north/west room and pickup the Water Crystal on the pedestal. Exit the room, north on the ledge, standing jump north/east to jagged ledge, standing jump north/east to walkway. Exit via black gate (east), turn left up stairs. Take a running jump to the ledge across the water and turn right. Take a running jump and grab (to change trajectory) through the door in the north/east corner. Head up the stairs and take a running jump and grab the slope. Pull up, turn left and take a running jump and grab the pole. Climb to about one tile from the top and take a backflip to the ledge behind. Climb the pole and backflip to the ledge. Take a running jump and grab the edge of the ledge on the other side and pull up. Use the Water Crystal in the gem receptacle on the right and head to the left of the slope. Climb the ladder down into the empty pool and pull the wall switch. Climb out, head up the slope and take a running jump and grab the greenery on the wall. Climb left and up into the hole in the ceiling. Pull up, enter the newly opened gate and drop into the hole in the floor. Slide down the slope and the next level loads.
 

  The Sword is Near

Head down the corridor and drop to the grassy floor. Shoot the pot behind the column on the right and pickup the Crossbow ammo. Take a standing jump to the ladder on the west side of the column and climb up. Enter the alcove on the right and climb down the ladder on the inner (south)wall. Stop at about 2 tiles above the spikes and backflip to the ground floor. (remember a gate, stone door in this area) Head through the north archway and down the corridor on the right. Shoot the vase and pickup the Uzis. (remember the star receptacle in this area) Head back through the corridor, past the lion fountains and turn right. (remember a gated window in this area) Head down the mossy stairway. Turn right and take a standing jump to the tree on the slope. Take a standing jump and grab (to change trajectory) up the slope and pickup the large medipack on the left. Head to the south/east corner and use the crossbow/lasersight and shoot the ball in the upper alcove. Slide back down and climb up the north ledges. Pull the wall switch on the right and push the wall button on the left. Drop back down the ledges and enter the newly opened arched gated doorway in the west wall. Head down the stairway into a room with a gated maze. Turn right and follow the corridor left. Turn left, then right and take a standing jump over the spiked tile. Pickup the Shotgun ammo and large medipack and take another standing jump over the other spiked tile. Turn right and follow the outer perimeter of the maze, past the stairs on the left and right to the end. Pull the wall switch (it is timed), turn left and dash around the outer perimeter, follow the left wall into the maze. Dash past the first alcove and enter the second gated corridor before the gate closes. Climb over the block and pull the wall switch (it is also timed). Run then jump over the block, run left, running jump right, running jump right through the gate before it closes. Pull the wall switch on the block (not timed). This time run around the block, triggering the gate ahead to open. Turn right, then left and around the perimeter of the maze, to the newly opened gate at the end (south wall). Turn around, jump back into the hole in the floor, slide briefly and take a jump and grab to the monkey swing above. Swing forward, right and drop to the platform. Arm weapons and shoot the Skeleton Harpy. Head around the right side of the column and jump up and grab the edge of the upper walkway. Shimmy right until you reach the next column and drop to the platform. Take a running jump to the north/west platform and another running jump to the east column. Take a running jump to the entrance in the north/east corner. Head up the slope and reverse roll when you get to the middle. Pickup the Lapis Jewel and run out of the room, as the boulders fall. Take a running jump to the column platform on the right and another running jump to the west platform. Arm weapons and shoot the Skeleton Harpy. Take a running jump to the south/east platform, reverse roll arm weapons and shoot another Skeleton Harpy. Enter the alcove, through the corridor and climb out. Shoot the two lions. Pickup the Crossbow ammo in the north/east corner. Head up the slope. Pickup the flares on the south block.
 
[Note: The next sequence involves pulling four timed wall switches which temporarily shut off flames on individual blocks. The end result is to get to the block in the north/east corner. Since Lara can pull up onto the blocks without catching on fire and minimal loss of life, I opted to go directly to the north/east block, avoiding the painful and somewhat pointless task of tackling four consecutive timed runs. If you wish to try, start with the wall switch on the west wall and climb the centre block. There are 2 pickups in this room Crossbow and Shotgun ammo, but you won't have time to pick them up before the flames come back. Pull the switch, drop down, climb the south/west block. Pull the switch, drop down, climb the north/west block. Pull the switch, drop down, climb the north/east block.]
 
Shortcut: Climb the block in the north/east corner. Take a standing jump and grab the edge of the flaming column. Shimmy to the wall, pull up, turn around and jump up and grab the ledge (loss of life). Pull up, arm weapons and shoot the two lions. Take a running jump over the pit in the doorway and keep to the left as a set of spikes juts out of the wall. Pull the floor lever and exit the room. Head forward and turn left at the end. Use the Lapis jewel in the wall receptacle and enter through the newly opened door. Climb down the ladder and drop into the yellow pool. Pull the underwater lever shuting off spikes on the upper ledge (it is timed), reverse roll and climb out of the pool at the south/east corner. Head south and climb the ladder in the south wall. Backflip to the ledge behind and jump up and grab the ladder before the spikes begin moving again. Climb about one tile from the top, backflip, reverse roll and grab the jumpswitch on the opposite side. Watch a cutscene of a gate opening in a previous area.
 
Secret #5: Drop back into the pool and pull out at the north/east corner. Shoot the glass in the north/east corner and enter the alcove into Secret #5. Climb the ladder in the south/east corner of the room. Shift left, drop onto the slope and grab the edge. Pull up and backflip to the platform behind. Take standing jumps to each of the next platforms and pickup the small medipack, Shotgun ammo and large medipack. Exit the room via the corridor in the north wall.
 
Climb the south ladder and pull up. Down the corridor, turn left at the fountains. Turn right into newly opened gate. Shoot the two warthogs and the Armoured Warrior in the west alcove. Crawlspace in the south/east corner. Drop into the muddy water and swim through. Avoid spikes by swimming in the middle, pickup Shotgun ammo on the left. Pull underwater lever on the right, reverse roll, head back through and surface. Climb back through the crawlspace, back to the main room. Head to the west alcove, climb the block, face east and climb the ladder up.
 
There are two methods you can use at this point:
 
Method A: Face west and use the Crossbow + lasersight to shoot the beehive, releasing a swarm of bees. Safety drop to ground level to disperse the bees with less loss of life and climb back up the block and ladder. Pickup the Ornament Key that fell from the beehive. Drop back to the ground level and enter the crawlspace in the north wall. Climb the ladder, pull the wall switch and take a running jump to the raised platform. Use the Ornament Key in the lock, opening a gate in an upper alcove. Exit the room via the crawlspace, return to the west alcove and climb the block/ladder back up. Enter the south alcove and when the flames subside, take a running jump to the south ledge. Push the floor lever, opening a gate in the opposite alcove.
 
Method B: Head east to the edge of the ledge, take a jump and a step from the south wall and two sidesteps right. Angle to face south/east, take 3 running steps and at the last second press "jump". The objective is to get Lara to take a jump-step in mid-air in order to make it to the other side. While in the air, curve slightly right, grab the edge of the ledge and pull up. (see screenshot sequence) Push the floor lever, opening a gate in the opposite alcove.
 
There are two routes you can take at this point:
 
Route A: Reverse roll, when the flames subside take a running jump back into the south alcove. Enter the north alcove, take standing jump to north ledge, head to the end, turn right and take a standing jump to the roof. Take a running jump and grab the south ledge. Push the floor lever, raising a block in the roof and take a running jump and grab to the north roof.
 
Route B: (faster but a bit tricky) After pushing the first floor lever, head to the north/east corner of the ledge, face east and take a running jump with a sharp curve right to the next ledge. Push the floor lever, raising a block in the roof and take a running jump and grab to the north roof.
 
Climb the block, pull the wall switch and safety drop to the ground floor. Shoot the Armoured Warrior and enter the newly opened gate in the east structure. Pickup the Shotgun ammo and use the Crossbow + lasersight to shoot the ball in the ceiling, opening a large gate in the west alcove. Head to the west alcove, through the newly opened gate and watch a cutscene of the area ahead. [tip: If you wish to avoid this entire area, use Crossbow w/Explosive ammo and shoot into the east structure, smashing the ball and opening the west gate. Probably not the intended approach, but thought to mention as it was possible, even though you miss a few pickups.]
 
Head up the stairs and drop into the lower corridor. Turn left, run to the end and into the crawlspace on the left. Pull the wall switch on the left (it's timed), reverse roll, jump over the spike pit and take a running jump to the block. Pull the wall switch and exit via the crawlspace. Head right, into the right corridor and into the crawlspace on the left. Head to the tile with the Omega symbol and shoot the middle glass window. Pull the wall switch and push the blue-lit floor lever in the north/east corner. Exit via the crawlspace, follow the right wall and climb the ladder at the end. Head forward and drop into the first corridor. Push the moveable object through the corridor, to the beige tile at the end. Climb out, drop into the east corridor and push the other moveable object to the beige tile at the end.
 
Head into the south corridor, shoot the two vases and pickup the large medipack and Crossbow ammo in the two corners of the pool. Climb the centre pole, backflip to the north ledge and head forward. Face the east roof and take three jumps back from the edge. Take six running steps forward and at the last moment, press "jump". The objective is to get Lara to take a jump-step in mid-air, thereby making it possible to clear the slope on the other side (see screenshots A , B ). Pull the wall switch (it's timed), reverse roll and take a running jump and grab over the slope to the middle ledge. Shimmy left, drop down and push the object west before the block lowers. Push the object south once and watch a cutscene of an underwater lever exposed. Return to the south corridor and climb the pole, backflip to the ledge and face the west roof. Take three jumps back from the edge. Take six running steps forward and at the last moment, press "jump". The objective is to get Lara to take a jump-step in mid-air, thereby making it possible to clear the slope on the other side. Pull the wall switch (it's timed), reverse roll and take a running jump and grab over the slope to the middle ledge. Shimmy right, drop down and push the object east before the block lowers. Push the object south once and watch a cutscene of another underwater lever exposed.
 
Return to the south corridor, drop into the water and pull both underwater levers. Climb the pole, backflip and return to the east roof. From the right side of the roof, angle right and take a running jump to the south slope. Slide as far as possible without falling and jump and grab the edge of the ledge ahead. Pull the wall switch (it's timed) and take a running jump north/west to the Omega block. Drop down and push the object onto the block before it rises. Push the object onto the Omega block, climb to the upper ledge and face the west roof. From the right side of the roof, angle right and take a running jump to the north slope. Slide as far as possible without falling and jump and grab the edge of the ledge ahead. Pull the wall switch (it's timed) and safety drop to the ground level. Reverse roll, run and climb the block, push the object onto the block before it rises. Push the object onto the Omega block and both objects ignite with fire. Climb to the upper ledge and pickup the Rusty Key inside the newly opened cage. Drop to the ground level and exit the area via the crawlspace in the north/east corner of the main room.
 
Climb the ladder, shift right, drop to the ledge and use the Rusty Key in the lock. Climb out the newly opened gate, head down the corridor and take a running jump to the south/east ledge. Use the Crossbow + lasersight to shoot the glass windows in the pool and drop into the water. Pickup the Crossbow ammo, swim through the opening and surface. Climb the stairway on the right, arm weapons and shoot the three lions while avoiding the two boulders that fall from the ceiling. Climb the pole in the south/east corner and backflip to the upper ledge behind. Grab the crevice in the block ahead, and shimmy left to the other side. Enter the corridor, pickup the Shotgun ammo and pull the wall switch. Return to the exit and take a running jump west and grab the crevice in the block ahead. Shimmy right to the other side, let go and grab the jumpswitch. Immediately backflip to avoid a boulder, enter the newly opened gate and pickup the Rusty Key. Exit the alcove and return to the pole in the south/east corner. Climb the pole, backflip, grab the block crevice, shimmy left and drop to the ledge. Take a running jump west and grab the crevice in the block ahead, shimmy right around both corners, let go and grab the edge of the crevice below. Pull up and pickup the Sapphire and drop to ground level. Exit this room via the north stairway, head east and climb into the crawlspace in the wall. Climb the east wall, pull up and use the crowbar to pry off the Golden Star from the far wall. Climb back down and exit via the crawlspace. Climb up the leftmost stairway, turn left and take a running jump over the broken block in the east alcove. Climb the block on the right and grab the ladder. Shift right, let go and grab the jumpswitch. Climb the ladder again and this time shift left into an upper corridor. Take a running jump over the spike pit and avoid the spike ball that falls from the ceiling. Enter the caged ledge and use the Golden Key in the wall receptacle. Return to the corridor, crawl under the spike ball and jump over the spike pit. Climb down the ladder and exit back to the three stairways. Climb the middle stairway and swim under the centre platform. Pickup the Emerald and exit. Climb the stairs and use the Emerald and Sapphire in the two wall receptacles.
 
Return to the west stairway and exit through the newly opened gate in the west wall. Shoot the two Skeleton Harpies. Head to the south/west corner and climb down the ladder on the inner side of the lava wall. Shimmy left and crawl through the crawlspace at the end. Use the Rusty Key in the lock and drop into the water. Swim through and surface. Head to the south/west corner and head down the stairs. Climb down the ladder, head to the south ledge, turn left into a room with a moveable object and shoot the ball with the Crossbow + lasersight. Move the object out of the room to the beige tile and head back to the middle of the main room. Arm weapons, step west into the middle area, jump back and shoot the two Giant Eagles. Head left and pull the wall switch on the column on the east wall. Head back out through the east archway, turn right and push the object onto the next block. Return to the wall switch and push it back up. Return to the object and push it into the room above and onto the Omega tile, opening the gate in this room. Take a running jump to the structure ahead and drop into the hole. Pull up onto the south ledge, at the rightmost corner and push the floor lever. Jump to the Omega tile, opening the underwater gate and pickup the Shotgun ammo. Drop into the water and exit via the underwater crawlspace. Return to the south ledge and climb the ladder back into the upper room. Take a running jump to the middle structure and head to the north part. Drop into the hole and pull up onto the north ledge at the rightmost corner, push the floor lever and watch a cutscene of a gate opening in the upper level. Jump to the Omega tile, opening the underwater gate and pickup the large medipack. Drop into the water and exit via the underwater crawlspace. Return to the south ledge and climb the ladder back into the upper room. Take a running jump to the middle structure and head to the west ledge. Take a running jump to the west ledge and pickup the Ornament Key and Alexanders Sword. Safety drop to the ground level and head to the north/west corner. Use the Ornament Key in the lock on the right and enter the newly opened gate in the north wall. Head up the slope, watch a nice cutscene and this wonderful level ends.
