The Ordeal in the Shadow of Death

WALKTHROUGH

  Into the Great Pyramid

The level begins with a flyby of what lies ahead. Pickup the scroll and read the MUST README provided with the game. Skull task (optional) From the blue "scroll" tile, turn right, climb the ledge and slide into the water. Climb out at the south ledge and drop to the south side of the pool. Swim to the end (west), climb the block and drop into the water. Skull task (optional) Reverse roll and swim through the tiny crawlspace below. Swim through the underwater corridor and surface at the end. Pickup the Pyramid Key and face north. Sidestep left as far as possible, jump up and grab the edge of the slope and slide down the other side. Swim right and pull up on the south ledge. Face east and take a running jump up to the flat triangle where the bridge meets the east wall. Turn left (north), take a running jump to the north/east corner and climb the ladder. Drop down, make a hairpin turn right and pull up into the alcove above. Place the Pyramid Key in the wall receptacle, draining the water from the pool. Drop down the east ledge, head north/west and slide to the bottom of the newly drained pool. Head west and jump up and grab the jumpswitch in the middle of the north wall. Watch a cutscene of a stone door opening access to the next level. Head back east, climb the south ledge and turn left. Take a running jump up to the flat triangle where the bridge meets the east wall and turn left (north). Take a running jump to the north/east corner and climb the ladder. Drop to the east ledge, turn right and take running jumps across the bridge to the west side. Climb the corner of the right burner and face east. Take a standing jump and grab the ledge ahead. Pull up, take a torch and drop down. Light the torch on the burner and head north. Take a standing jump east to the block, turn around and take a standing jump west into the alcove. Toss the torch through the crawlspace at the end and exit the alcove. Climb the corner of the left burner and turn around. Take a standing jump east, grab the ledge and pull up. Turn around, sidestep as far to the left as possible and angle to face south/west. Take a running jump and grab the crawlspace in the west wall and crawl in. Follow the corridor down and turn right. Turn right again, and pass through the two burners, timed to avoid the flames. Pickup the torch and turn back. Head past the one burner and turn right. Make sure you have the torch in hand before passing through the blue tile corridor as the level loads.
 

  Inside the Great Pyramid (Tear of Heaven)

Head forward with your torch in hand and turn left. As the door opens watch an extensive flyby, careful to observe the vast area ahead. Head straight (west) and pull the wall switch on the left. Take a running jump to the block in the corner and toss the torch through the crawlspace to the block behind the gate (south/west). Drop down and head east through the gate. Turn right, pull the wall switch to close the gate and continue south. Take a running jump between the raised block and the column, head west and drop into the water. Swim right and follow the right wall for a small medipack. Reverse roll, swim forward and up to surface. Pull up onto the unlit burner, turn around and take a standing jump to the block. Pickup the torch and take a standing jump back to the burner. From the edge sidestep right to the corner. Turn left with back to the wall, sidestep one step into the burner and light. Watch an exciting cutscene of a giant spider descending into the middle cage. Carefully sidestep left to the edge of the burner, face north and take a standing jump back to the block. Angle right and toss the torch back through the crawlspace to the block on the right. Drop back into the water, swim through the crawlspace, turn right and surface. Climb out the east edge and jump up and grab the jumpswitch on the left. Backflip over the hungry spider and head through the gate. Continue forward, through the north gate trapping the spider inside (again). Head to the end of the gated corridor and turn right. Head to the east wall to the newly exposed wall switch. Pull the switch, reverse roll and head back left around the perimeter as a wild dog follows. Turn left back into the gated corridor to the spider's cage. Jump up onto the block in the corner and watch the carnage as the spider kills the dog! Pickup the torch and wait until the spider is near the middle of the cage. Run off the block and head left back through the north gate, trapping the spider again. Turn right and head back to the east wall through the newly opened door. Drop the torch, turn right and pickup the Tear of Heaven. Push the urn to the textured tile in the north/east corner, opening the gate. Pickup the torch, exit the alcove and turn right as a flying beetle follows. Head left around the perimeter and back through the gated corridor on the left. Head through the gate into the cage, reverse roll and head back out, trapping the spider and the beetle inside. Head right, back around the perimeter to the entrance in the middle of the east wall. Turn left, with torch in hand back through the blue tiled corridor as the level loads.

  Into the Great Pyramid (Bike Key)

Leave the torch here and exit the alcove via the crawlspace. Skull tasks (optional) Head back to the bridge, safety drop down the south side of the drained pool and head east to the end. Climb out the north ledge, face east and take a running jump up to the flat triangle where the bridge meets the east wall. Climb the ladder, drop down and turn right. Run over the trigger tile between the two floor grates, triggering a boulder which opens one of the grates. Climb down the ladder in the newly opened floor, backflip to the alcove behind and use the Tear of Heaven in the wall receptacle. Push the floor lever and exit the alcove via the ladder. Head north and mount the bike. Head up the east ramp between the two burners and dismount in the room at the top. Pull the wall switch and remount the bike. Take the bike down the ramp and turn right. Fall into the crawlspace (yes, it's ok) and head to the north/west corner of the west ledge using the north slopes. Head to the middle of the west ledge, face east and take a run over the bridge with the bike. Jump over the first gap and trigger the tile in the middle of the bridge. Let the bike fall to the lower slope (avoiding the water, of course) and make your way back to the north wall and the west ledge. Take the bike through the gate in the south wall through the corridor, triggering another tile ahead. Dismount, head through the newly opened gate and pickup the Bike Key. Pickup the torch you left here before, head past the one flame and turn left through the blue tiled corridor as the level loads.
 

  Inside the Great Pyramid (Bronze Key/Pyramidal Key/Golden Key)

Back in the main atrium, drop the torch, head forward to the spider cage and pull the wall switch on the left to release the spider. Lure the spider into the wild dog room at the east wall and trap it inside. Head back up the ramp, turn right (south) and use the Bike Key in the lock on the left. Ride the bike north, then turn left back down the pathway into the spider cage. Dismount, exit the cage east, turn right and take a running jump between the block and the column. Pull the jumpswitch, enter the cage and ride the bike out the south gate. Turn left and ride the bike over the first blue trigger tile. Turn left again back into the cage and back through the south gate. Head forward over the second blue tile. Make a hairpin turn left back into the maze. Take the first turn right, then left over the trigger tile. Continue right all the way around the column and take a left turn north over the newly lowered block. Turn right passing over another trigger tile. Turn right and re-enter the maze at the first turn on the right. Head left to the last trigger tile in the south corridor and the block lowers. Enter the small room and head left. Pass through the door turn left and take the bike over the trigger tiles. Dismount, pull the switch as two fire wraiths follow. Exit the alcove, take running jumps north/west and extinguish the wraiths in the pool. Skull task (optional) Return to the bike and exit the alcove. Take the bike north and turn left at the second corridor. Facing west run the bike forward, over the slope to the long slope in the water. Continue with the bike right and jump to the next long slope. Take the bike up the slope with the flaming statue and over the slope to the perimeter. Two large gates are now open, giving access around the entire perimeter. Drop into the small water pool beside the two trigger tiles and pull the underwater switch on the right. Skull task (optional)
 
Climb into the alcove, pull the hourglass wall switch (it's timed) and dash down the corridor with a roll at the end before the door closes. Head north to the end of the ledge and descend the ladder to the bottom of the chasm. Climb over the blocks (east) and push the wall button (south). Climb back up the ladder, angle to face the north wall and take a standing jump and grab the hidden crevice in the wall. Shimmy right to the triangular crawlspace and crawl inside. Pull the moveable block twice and exit the crawlspace. Shimmy left back to the ledge and pull up. Head south, drop to the lower block and enter the crawlspace on the right. Pickup the Uzi ammo and take a standing jump and grab the edge of the crawlspace. Shimmy right and crawl out. Continue south to the lowest ledge on the left. Turn to face north/east and take a running jump and grab the lowest edge of the middle slope. Pull up and enter the newly opened door on the right. Follow the corridor around, pull the wall switch in the upper alcove on the left and exit back to the now flooded chasm. Skull task (optional) (close) Swim into the west crawlspace and pickup the Bronze Key. Swim to the triangle crawlspace in the north wall and pickup the large medipack. Swim through the south/east door and exit through the newly opened gate back outside. [Note: If you went for the Skull task, drain the pool first, pickup the torch then exit.]
 
Head to the south wall to the door previously opened via the bike maze and turn right. Continue through the corridor, climb the block on the right, use the Bronze Key in the lock and exit. Skull task (optional) (close) Take the torch down the brown ramp into a lower room. Continue forward, turn right and toss the torch past the flames into the room beyond. Head back outside and climb the blocks back to the perimeter. Now take the bike down the same ramp and drive it slowly through the flames (keep to the left), turning them off as you pass through. Dismount, push the wall button and toss the torch through the crawlspace on the right. Head through the newly opened door on the left (east). Climb the ladder, pull the wall switch flooding the area and drop into the water. Swim through the corridor back to the previous room and swim through the crawlspace. Swim to the left into the hole in the floor and pull the underwater switch, draining the area. Surface in the previous room, light the torch on the burner and light the wall torch retracting the spikes blocking an underwater lever. Toss the torch back through the crawlspace, drop back into the water and pull the underwater lever again. Swim through the crawlspace, back outside and surface for air. Swim left (east) into the underwater corridor and pull the newly exposed underwater lever on the left. Continue through the corridor, pickup the flares on the left and exit the pool.
 
Make your way back into the central cage and exit through the north gate. At the end of the gated corridor, make a hairpin turn left and drop into a small section of pool away from the lava pool. Dive down, follow the underwater corridor and pull the underwater switch. Exit the pool, head right and drop into the newly flooded pool on the right. Head to the middle structure with the four jump switches. Only the two on the blue tiles are necessary for the main route. Face the west switch, sidestep to the right and angle slightly left (screenshot). Take a standing jump and grab the jumpswitch. Now head to the south switch, sidestep to the left and angle right (screenshot) Take a standing jump and grab the jumpswitch. Skull task (optional) (close)
 
Pull out of the water, enter the central cage and climb the ladder. Climb past the second floor up about two blocks, backflip, reverse roll with a curve right and land on the second floor ledge. Make your way to the north/west corner and enter the first corridor on the left. Follow the right wall back out as two skeletons materialize. Use the bad jumping skill of the skeletons and lure them to the "elevator" room in the south/west corner. Let them jump around a bit, until they fall down. Return to the north/west corridor and pull the block out as far as possible and re-enter the corridor from the other entrance. Pickup the Pyramidal Key and exit. Turn left, head to the edge of the ledge and drop into a deeper section of water below.
 
Climb out the south side, head back into the bike maze, turn left, then right and follow the left wall around. Use the Pyramidal Key in the wall receptacle, opening a door in the brown pool with the bike. Turn left, then head west and drop into the brown pool. Swim right, follow the corridor right to the room with the bike. Swim left into the hole, through the underwater corridor and surface at the top. Pull the wall switch and climb down the ladder. Toss the torch through the flames to the other side and mount the bike. Drive the bike slowly through the right side of the flames and drive completely through when they stop. Drive the bike back outside, up the ramp turn left, then return to pickup the torch. Take the bike to the north side of the perimeter, dismount and drop into the pool to the right of the gated corridor. Pull the underwater lever and exit. Drive the bike into the drained green pool and follow the west wall south. Drop into the hole ahead, drive the bike to the end and over the trigger tile in front of the gate. Dismount the bike and exit. Head to the north perimeter, turn left and drop back into the small pool to the right of the gated corridor. Pull the underwater lever, flooding the green pool and exit. Skull task (optional)
 
Pull out of the small pool, turn left and head to the alcove with the climbable wall on the right. Take a standing jump and grab the wall, shift right and drop to the ledge. Slide into the water and swim down. Swim through the corridor and turn right at the gate. Swim to the top at the end and enter the small crawlspace. Pickup the Golden Key, swim back through the corridor and surface for air. Swim into the water again and swim up just before the closed gate. Pull the underwater lever, opening the gate below. Swim back out through the corridor and surface for air. Swim south into the small alcove and keep to the rightmost side of the slope. Dive then backflip off the slope to the slope behind, jump off and grab the edge ahead. Shimmy left, pull up, then backflip with a reverse roll to the next slope. Slide a bit then backflip to the next slope, jump and grab the monkey swing above. Swing forward and drop to the ledge. Climb the wall on the right, shift left and exit the alcove. Drop into the pool to the right of the gated corridor. Pull the underwater lever and exit. Return to the alcove with the climbable wall. Take a standing jump and grab the wall, shift right and drop to the ledge. Slide down the slopes, mount the bike and drive it back outside. Skull task (optional) (close) Head to the south/west corner of the perimeter and use the Golden Key in the lock on the south wall. Make sure you have your torch and head through the door on the left. Take a standing jump up and head through the corridor as the level loads.
 

  Excursions

Take a standing jump up and the door ahead opens. Toss the torch through the crawlspace and crawl through. Pickup the torch, face west and take a standing jump up. Drop the torch, climb the ladder and pull up at the top. Drop down, notice the coloured tiles in the next room and remember the order: blue, green, silver and gold. Push the button on the right, turn right and climb back up the block. Climb down the ladder, pickup the torch and toss it through the gated crawlspace into the room below. Crawl through the crawlspace, lower into the room below and pickup the torch. Shift to the left, face west and backflip to the slope behind. Jump off, curve left, slide and jump with a curve right to the next slope. Slide off and curve left to land on the grate to the left. Facing the fire tile as shown in the screenshot, take a standing jump with a curve right to land in the corner (screenshot). Turn left, light the torch and take a standing jump back to the safe grate. Angle to face the slope on the left and take a standing jump to it. Backflip off to the slope behind and jump off to land in the alcove across the fire tiles. Take a standing jump to the unlit burner and light it from the corner. Take a standing jump back to the alcove and toss the torch onto the unraised block ahead. Pull the wall switch and return to the edge of the doorway. Angle to face south/east (screenshot) and take a running jump with a curve left to land into the safe spot ahead (screenshot). Take a standing jump south/east back to the grates between the slopes. Shift left, face east and backflip to the slope behind. Jump off, curve left to the slope ahead and jump and grab the edge of the ledge ahead. Shimmy left, climb the ladder and backflip to the upper level. Head to the north/west corner and pickup the Uzi ammo and Uzis . Drop down, pickup the torch and light the wall torch. Take standing jumps out, drop the torch on the glass floor and head back to the ladder. Select Uzis, then grab the ladder and climb down. Let Lara's legs fall, let go and grab the bottom edge of the ledge. Shift to the middle of the ladder, backflip off, arm Uzis, jump off the slope and shoot the blue vase. While in the air, curve to the left, unarm Uzis, slide and grab the bottom edge of the slope. Shift left, pull up and backflip to the slope behind. Slide off to land onto the grates between the slopes. Face west, arm Uzis and backflip to the slope behind. Jump off, shoot the blue vase on the opposite side and slide down the slope. Skull tasks (optional) (close) Face east, shift left as far as possible and backflip to the slope behind. If you went for the skulls, pull up onto the east slope, slide a bit, then backflip to the slope behind. Jump with a curve left, jump and grab the edge of the gap. Shift left and grab the ladder. Shift right as far as possible, backflip to the slope behind, jump forward and grab the ladder above the gap. Climb about one tile from the top, backflip to the upper level and pickup the torch. Head to the north/west corner and take a running jump into the newly opened area.
 
Drop into the room below, turn left and pickup the flares in the small alcove. Take the torch to the south/west corner and toss it into the corridor below. Safety drop into the corridor, pickup the torch and climb the slope to the boulder at the top. Reverse roll and light the wall torch on the left, triggering a timed boulder run. Use the sprint key and dash down the slope. Let go of the sprint key when you reach the grate on the floor, then continue to run and jump to land on the raised block. Toss the torch, backflip over the boulder while still on the raised block and follow the boulder down the slope. Skull task (optional) Pull the jumpswitch at the bottom and climb out. Pickup the torch, head back up the slope over the raised block and pickup the small medipack in the crawlspace at the top. Head back down, take a standing jump to the raised block and another to the upper level. Head to the north/east corner and drop down into the next room with a large boulder ramp. Toss the torch into the crawlspace on the right and exit back to the upper level through the dark corridor in the south/east corner. Return to the room with the large ramp, angle to face north/west and take a standing jump and grab (to change trajectory) to the platform on the left. Climb down the ladder on the west wall and pull the wall switch. Climb back up the ladder, backflip to the platform. Drop down the other side and climb into the crawlspace on the right. Pickup the torch and head to the left corner of the burner. With Lara's back against the wall, light the burner, turn right to face the exit and toss the torch. With Lara's back against the wall again, shift right towards the exit. When clear of the flame, crouch down, pickup the torch, toss it through the space to the block below and crawl back out. Climb the block, exit the room via the dark corridor and return to the top of the ramp. Climb down the ladder on the west wall and pull the wall switch again to raise the block on the other side. Climb up the ladder, backflip to the top of the ramp and drop to the other side. Pickup the torch and exit via the dark corridor back to the central room. Skull task (optional) (close)
 
Drop the torch in the middle of the room and head through the newly opened door in the south/west corner. Climb the block on the left, face the top of the slope and take running jump with a curve right to slide forward. Slide a bit then jump to grab the jumpswitch above. Slide a bit further then jump to grab the ladder above. Shift left and pickup the flares in the small alcove. Climb out, drop to the slope, jump and reverse roll to slide backwards and grab the bottom of the slope. Grab the ladder, shift right and drop onto the trigger tile, draining the fire water and opening the gate. Head down the corridor and pickup the Shotgun ammo in the shallow water. Head through the gate and it closes behind you, climb the blocks to the top and return to the central room. Skull task (optional) (close) Head to the block in the north/east corner and through the newly opened door on the right. Take standing jumps up the blocks to the top. Toss the torch through the crawlspace and crawl through. Pickup the Shotgun ammo, wait for the two sets of spikes to appear, then run through (some loss of life). Return to pickup the torch and toss through the next crawlspace east. Crawl through, pickup the torch and head through the door as the level loads.
 

  Inside the Great Pyramid (Opening the 3rd Floor Door)

Head through the door and toss the torch right or left down to the second floor below. Head to the middle gap where the central cage is and climb the ladder about half the way down. Backflip off, reverse roll with a curve right to land on the second level. Retrieve the torch and head to the middle of the north wall. Head south towards the middle structure, toss the torch through the opened trapdoor in the floor and safety drop down (some loss of life). Pickup the torch, toss it into the water underneath the jumpswitch on the south/west column and take a standing jump and grab the jumpswitch. The block underneath rises, pickup the torch and light it on the wall torch. Angle to face north/east and when the block you are currently on begins to lower, take a standing jump to the raising block and light the wall torch. A cutscene shows a door opening on the third floor. Skull task (optional) (close) Face north, angle slightly left and take a standing jump to the slope on the left. Jump off the slope, then off the next slope and curve right to land on the perimeter. Turn left and head to the south/west corner of the perimeter. Make sure you have the torch and enter the door on the right. Take a standing jump to the block and pass through the corridor as the level loads.
 

  Excursions (Route to the 3rd Floor)

Take a standing jump up, toss the torch through the crawlspace and crawl through. Pickup the torch, face west and take a standing jump up. Continue up the blocks then drop down into the room with the glass floor. Light the torch on the wall torch on the right and head through the door in the north/west corner back into the central room. Take a standing jump to the block in the north/east corner. Head into the door on the right and take standing jumps to the top. Toss the torch through the crawlspace, crawl through, pickup the torch, toss through the second crawlspace and crawl through. Head through the corridor as the level loads.
 

  Inside the Great Pyramid (Route to the East Door)

Head forward then turn right around the perimeter to the east wall and enter the door as the level loads.
 

  Excursions (Elevator Key)

Drop the torch on the floor, then drop into the room with the boulder ramp. Slide down close to the end, then jump up and grab the ladder above. Climb to the top rung, then backflip, reverse roll and grab the ladder on the opposite wall. Climb up, head through the corridor to the end and a door opens. Take a standing jump to the right, pickup the torch and take a standing jump left back into the upper corridor. Proceed to the end, then take a standing jump to the left to the lower block. Face east, then run off the edge to land in the opposite alcove. Drop the torch, pickup the small medipack and pickup the torch. Reverse roll, run off the edge and land in the next alcove. Head to the lefthand corner and light the burner. Turn to face out, wait for the flames to subside, then run off the edge into the next alcove. Reverse roll, run off the edge and land in the opposite alcove. Head to the lefthand corner and light the burner. Face outward, wait for the flames to subside, then run off the edge into the next alcove. Skull task (optional) (close)
 
At the bottom of the ramp, continue north down the corridor into the next area to a room with three burners. Head through the right alcove and toss the torch down the lava corridor at the end. Reverse roll and exit the alcove. Turn right (west) and take a standing jump and grab the right side of the slope. Pull up, slide, then jump and curve right to the next slope. Backflip off, reverse roll and grab the opposite ladder. Climb up, backflip off, reverse roll and grab the edge of the crawlspace. Pull in and reverse down into the next room with two statues. Head into the north corridor, turn right and pull the wall switch, turning off the lava floor. Pickup the torch and light the statues in the previous room. Skull task (optional) (close) Head back into the north corridor and this time head straight to the back of the room. Drop the torch, pull the floor lever opening the small gate above. Pickup the torch, take a standing jump to the block ahead and another to the alcove on the right. Toss the torch into the crawlspace on an angle so that it goes beyond the gate, far into the crawlspace to the right. Drop down, pull the floor lever again and head to the west wall. Climb into the alcove and lower into the corridor below. Head north and pull up into the corridor above. Pickup the torch, take a running jump over the slope and light the wall torch. Reverse roll, take a running jump over the slope, jump and land on the ledge ahead. Head to the end of the corridor, to left corner and drop the torch using the "1" key. Reverse roll, head to the edge and take a standing jump and grab the monkey swing above. Swing completely around, then head to the jumpswitch. Let go and grab the jumpswitch (it's timed) and drop to the ground. Backflip to the slope behind and jump forward to the ledge ahead. Run forward and pickup the torch. Jump back, angle left and toss the torch through small opening before the gate closes. Skull task (optional) (close)
 
Exit through the east crawlspace. Drop into the room, climb the block, pickup the torch and drop to the floor. Head to the south/west corner and drop into the shallow water corridor. Toss the torch, crawl through and climb the block. Ahead is a moveable block but leave it for now. Instead take a standing jump and grab the upper level and pull up. Turn right and drop down to the lower level. Face south and push the block forward. Sidestep right and push this block forward. Pickup the Elevator Key on the right. Head to the north wall, turn to face south and pull the middle block. Take a standing jump and grab the upper level. Pull up, head left and drop to the lower floor. Face west and push the block as far as possible. Head to the north/east corner, face west and push the block into the corner. Head to the east alcove, pickup the torch and drop it into the north alcove. Turn to face south and pull out the block on the left. Head to the right, face east and push the same block into the east alcove. Push the button on the south wall and head to the block in the north/west corner. Face west and pull the block once. Head around the same block and push it into the north/east corner. Face south and pull the middle block out. Head to the right, face east and push the same block forward. Head to the block in the south/west corner, face south and pull the block out. Head around the block and push the wall button. Reverse roll and push the block into the corner. Pickup the torch from the north alcove and drop it into the south alcove. Skull task (optional) (close) If you did not go for the skull task, turn to face east and pull out the middle block. Turn right, face north and push the same block to the north wall. Head to the block in the west alcove and pull it twice. Pickup the torch and exit this room via the west alcove. Toss the torch through the crawlspace and crawl through. Pickup the torch, take a standing jump up and head through the corridor as the level loads.
 

  Inside the Great Pyramid (Tear of Heaven/Shotgun)

Locate the bike and take it to the south wall. Use the Elevator key in the lock, drive the bike up the ramp and over the trigger tile between the two exits. Dismount, slide down the ramp and locate the torch. Light it on the burner inside the central cage, find the spider and lure it back to the south wall room. Head to the back of the room, on the right is an elevator. Take a running jump to the alcove with the wall torch and wait for the spider to enter the elevator. [Note: Save your game here. Sometimes the spider has a mind of it's own and decides to leave the elevator as it is rising.] Light the wall torch and toss it onto the elevator as it rises, hopefully with the spider as well. Pull into the alcove above and pickup the Uzi ammo and drop to the other side. Climb the ladder on the column in the south/east corner. Take standing jumps to the various columns and exit the room. Head around the perimeter to the north/east corner and pull the wall switch. Turn right and head back to the "elevator" room and lure the two wild dogs into the waiting arms of the hungry spider. Exit the room, turn right and lure the spider around the perimeter. Dash and jump your way around trying to get as much distance between you and the spider. Head to the south/west corner and into the small room on the right (west). Pickup the large medipack before the spider attacks. With the spider inside, exit the room, trapping the spider inside. Return to the room in the north/east corner, head right and follow the left wall and push the moveable block on the left three times. Turn around, follow the right wall and pull the same block once. Turn around, follow the left wall and push the same block onto the trigger tile. A cutscene shows the floor gate closing back in the elevator room. Turn left and pull the block on the right twice. Turn around, follow the left wall and pickup the Shotgun ammo on the right. Exit the room, angle to face south/west and take a running jump to the platform between the two slopes. Pickup the flares and return to the elevator room in the south/west corner. Mount the bike, exit and drive it to the middle of the south wall with the two gates. Pass the bike over the grey trigger tile in front of the gate, dismount and enter the room. Head left, step onto the inner trigger tile to open the second gate and position in front of the hourglass switch. Pull the wall switch (it's timed), reverse roll and sprint out the right door. Curve right, sprint and jump over the corner gap. Continue sprinting then turn right through the timed gate before it closes. Pickup the Tear of Heaven and exit. Skull task (optional) (close) Head to the gated elevator in the middle area and use the Tear of Heaven in the receptacle on the left. Ride the elevator up, head right and pickup the Shotgun in the north alcove. Head back to the elevator platform, angle to face north/east and arm the Shotgun. Use the "look" button to look "up" and shoot the two transparent spheres above. This releases a fire wraith, so turn left and fall into the water below. Skull task (optional) Climb out of the pool, head to the central cage and climb the ladder to the top. Skull task (optional) Take a standing jump and grab the first collapsible platform. Pull up and take a running jump and grab the second one. Continue in this manner to the top. Climb the white staircase to the top and the level ends.
