Hello! My name is Trisha Fitch and I am offering Private Voice Lessons, Piano Lessons, Guitar lessons, and Mathematics tutoring for children and young adults. I genuinely enjoy teaching and encouraging, knowing full well that the best way to improve is through diligence, practice, and encouragement. One of the most important things I have learned through my experience is that people work and learn in very different ways. My goal is to meet the needs of each student individually, while being sensitive to their concerns, insecurities, or desires. These lessons are offered in 30-minute increments on various days of the week. Please email me for availability or rescheduling questions. My availability right now is Tuesday/Thursday only. I will be starting the Fall lessons the week of August 18th, 2009.
Private Voice and Piano lessons:
I have been studying music now for 7 years including formal lessons, schooling, and performance training and practice. I am now a senior studying Music Theory and Voice at California State University East Bay. I have been involved in two different college choirs, along with three of my own Private Voice Lesson sessions. I am classically trained in voice, but I emphasize in individualizing the voice. In other words, I want your voice to sound like you, just a more polished and healthy version. I also offer private guitar lessons for beginners, focusing on chord progression, rhythm, strum patterns, and basic guitar theory.
Private Mathematics Tutoring (and other subjects):
I have been tutoring now for 6 years both formally and informally. I received formal tutor training from Las Positas College in 2006 and have the Level 1 Tutor Certificate from the State of California. I have completed Mathematics through Pre-Calculus, receiving a 4.0 GPA in each of these classes. I have tutored both male and female, as well as people of all ages. I tutor anything up to and including Algebra 2 (or the equivalent of College Algebra). I also have some experience with junior-high level English and am willing to tutor other subjects, as well.
Payment Methods and Attendance:
Private Voice and Piano:
I charge $20 per half an hour or $35 per hour. I offer a group/family option, as well, in which case the price is $30 per person per hour. A minimum of one hour is required for group sessions, as this will allot enough time to work with each person individually.*
I also offer beginning guitar lessons, emphasizing chord progression, strum patterns, rhythm, and creativity. Contact me for rates and further information.
Private Math Tutoring (and other subjects):
I charge $15 per half an hour or $30 per hour. I offer a group/family option, as well, in which case the price is $25 per person per hour. A minimum of one hour is required for group sessions, as this will allot enough time to work with each person individually.
Payments are due at the beginning of each month. I accept cash or checks. I understand that cancellations or rescheduling are generally unavoidable, so I require an advance notice if you are aware that you will miss a lesson.
