Trikke 3CV extreme sports vehicle

Trikke Faq - Why do you need a trikke?

What is a Trikke?

A Trikke is a three wheeled vehicle that you propel by using your upper body and weight shifts (called a cambering vehicle) and turning the tiller back and forth (cambering). A Trikke 7/8 has an 8 inch wheel in the front and 7 inch wheels in the back (polyurethane). The Trikke 8 C has rubber tires. There is also the trikke 6 for the smaller set. Trikkes DO fold up small and yet are good for going around town.  And for ultra traveling .... the trikke 12!  Great for traveling comfort (has 12" pneumatic tires!) on the road and does not take much more muscle than the smaller trikkes.  A must for all avid trikkers!  For Wintertime, or if you want to go to the ski slopes, there is ... the trikke-ski!  That looks like a trikke but instead of wheels it has skiis!  Finally - the trikke hybrid electric assisted trikke - several kinds including a trikke with a built in assist and a kit which fits on a Trikke 12. Those who have power assisted trikkes love them and say if you ride without the assist, it gives you a fabulous workout but the assist is always there for hills or beating out bicycles etc.

Why Should you get a trikke?

It offers all the advantages of a scooting, skating and more, yet is no impact on the joints. Being a three wheeler, it's very very stable so rocks, holes in the road and more do not bother it near as much as they do, skateboards or inline skates.  You use the clever design of the vehicle to convert the kinetic energy shifting weight from side to side and/or turning the tiller back and forth to forward motion.  You can go very fast and it feels like inline skating, or skiing or flying or a combination. Works the entire body and is a great calorie burn but doesn't feel like so much work because the work load is divided between so many muscles.

Because you can easily fold it up and take it on the bus or throw it in the back seat of your car!

Because it's INCREDIBLE FUN!

Because it's there! :)

Many folks who were couch potatoes previously, find that they can get great exercise on a trikke while having fun (some have lost a lot of weight) but among avid trikkers, there are also some former marathon runners who find trikke-ing a great workout while not being hard on the joints like running is.

What age group is it for?

It's for all ages... from 4 to 90 (yes we do know a 90 year old who trikkes!)

Can you do tricks on a trikke?

Yes, you can "walk up" curves and similar but even if you don't do tricks, just the ride is very fun and you don't have to worry about falling like you do on roller blades because of the larger wheels and also, that it's three wheeled.
