ME IN 200 WORDS (or so):
I am a theater-lovin', "Oldies"-listenin', writin', singin' fool! When I'm not rehearsing for one show or another OR singing with my college campus a capella group (The Sagettes) you can find me devouring books and writing original stories/plays... both usually accompanied by Beatles music. Or Monkees. Or Rolling Stones. Or Four Seasons.

Actually, my love for The Beatles in particular has led to my work with a couple Beatles tribute bands. It's the perfect intersection of theater and the Fab Four, so how could I refuse? :-)

Yes, it's true. [ Rock and Roll love + Theater love = Kay heaven ]

I've logged plenty of time in front of and behind the curtain. Long before declaring Musical Theater as my major in college, I was heavilly involved in my high school and summer stock productions in roles ranging from Bloody Mary to Peppermint Patti! Currently I am in my senior year at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. It's been a lot of hard work and (sometimes painful) self-discovery, but I have loved every second of growth. College has given me the opportunity to try everything from sound and makeup design to workshopping original shows. Granted, singing and dancing in an original musical about plastic surgery isn't necessarilly prime resume material, but it certainly makes for great "war stories".

My time at Sage has also allowed me to work with an Equity-affiliated repertory company in residence on campus: The New York State Theater Institute. I am officially interning with the company this September (2006), however this is not my first experience onstage with NYSTI- I have been lucky enough to perform in one show a year since enrolling, ("Fiorello!", "The Secret Garden" and "King Island Christmas").

While I'm not certain what comes next, I am ready for the adventure. Thanks for stopping by my lil' nook of the 'net. If you want to see a little bit more about me, check out the links below!
