 Knabstrupper colt.  Main register KNN

Sire: Nobody's Harlequin KNN 166

Dam: Cranswicks Maybrit Danish Warmblood (May Sherif)

This is a stunning colt!  He has expressive uphill paces and is a fabulous sports/stallion prospect.  Well put together with good conformation and a sweet, inquisitive temperament he is just super!   He should mature to around 16.2hh+Passported KNN main book and is fully eligible for KNN Knabstrupper stallion grading when old enough.

Maybrit is a welcome addition to our broodmare herd and is by the fabulous May Sherif.  She is a graded DV mare and had a successful ridden career before coming to us as a brood mare. She is a fully graded DANISH WARMBLOOD mare by the great MAY SHERIF and bred by the well respected Cranswick Stud in Leicestershire.

Certainly the most famous of the Danish stallions, May Sherif lived all his life in that country, except for a short period breeding in Finland in 1987. His breeding is a real mix: Trakehner, Holsteiner, Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Hanoverian and Swedish Warmblood!  Despite competition from imported German and Swedish horses, May Sherif won his performance test for the Danish Warmblood Society in 1975.    Initially May Sherif started out covering around 150 mares a year, a very high number at the time.  He went on to compete at Prix St Georges level.  In 1988, he had two of his progeny competing at the Seoul Olympic Games, Andiamo, then ridden by the Swiss Otto Hofer, and Matador with Kyra Kyrklund.   Suddenly May Sherif was not only popular in Denmark, but his semen was being sent all around the world.

SKOVLYS DANA  KNN 2210

Foaled 2002 -  a black based leopard spotted Knabstrupper mare.

 Main register fully graded KNN

Sire: Xanthos KNN 112 (Don Ibrahim KNN 92 ex Cirkeline KNN 1468)

Dam: Danner Christinelyst KNN 1841 (Victory DH 361ex Mona Lisa KNN 1596)

Dana is an imported Danish Knabstrupper mare, born 2002 standing approx 169cm.  She has very good movement and conformation and is an excellent example of a modern Knabstrupper.   Her bloodlines include some of the most influential Knabstruppers in Denmark .   She is fully graded with the KNN.  She has not been broken as yet as she has produced such fantastic foals but could now go on to either be a ridden horse after her next foal or continue as a brood mare.  She has a lovely friendly nature and loves people - she is always the first to come to call and to see what is going on (nosey, some may call it!!)  She has the typical laid back and easy nature of the Knabstrupper and is very easy to keep and deal with.

Dana's sire, Xanthos,  is the renowned leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion who sired Zanko,  a graded Knabstrupper stallion who won two gold medals at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens (see News page).   Her damsire, Victory, is a Danish Warmblood who went on to a career in dressage.

Dana had a black few spot filly in 2005 by the stunning Danish Knabstrupper ‘Xquisit Middelsom’ (KNN 144).  In 2006 she blessed us with an outstanding leopard colt by Nobody’s Harlequin,  who was much sought after and was sold within 3 weeks of being born (see our News page for an updated picture).  Dana foaled an equally stunning full brother, a fewspot colt in July 2007. This foal was awarded a PREMIUM and BEST FOAL at the KNN UK Grading in 2007 and described as a 'harmonious type'.  He has been sold to Australia and will be the first Knabstrupper stallion to stand there.

Dana is scanned in foal again to Nobody's Harlequin due in March 2010.

Dana is withdrawn from sale until after she has foaled but will be available afterwards with or without foal at foot and with free covering to any of our stallions if required.

Dam: Joli Paprika   TB (Joli Wasfi / Scallywag)

This filly is really special. She has so much presence and 'look at me' quality that she is sure to be a star in whatever she does. She has excellent conformation, wonderful elevated paces and combines the athleticism of the Thoroughbred with the flamboyance of the Knabstrupper just perfectly - exactly what I was aiming for with this breeding.

She was bred to perform with either eventing or dressage in mind. She is sweet natured, has been regularly wormed and handled and is now weaned, eating hard feed and ready to go. First to see will buy (my photography just does not do this girl justice!)

TRESAISON FORTUNE (Bunty)  SOLD

16.2hh MW mare.  7 yrs (born 1999)

Registered part bred Appaloosa by Dance With Wolves out of La Marquette an
unregistered spotted mare who was almost Grade B show jumper in a very short
time before an injury cut short her career.

Appiano in colour although very few spots - she is a roan and white
skewbald.

Sweetheart temperament and easy to handle.  Strong mare with 3 good paces.
Plenty of bone with a quality head and no feather.
Green due to lack of time but willing to learn and ready to be brought on.
Will make a lovely hunter, riding club all rounder or great family horse.

TRESAISON HOPE  SOLD

Compact filly foal to make 15.2 /15.3hh approx. by Graded Knabstrupper stallion NOBODY'S HARLEQUIN (164cm) out of R OZEL BA Y (16hh TB). Her dam has had some stunning foals in the past - see last years on our web site.

Real power pack filly very much like her sire in stamp and with the added bonus of TB refinement. She is conker bay at the moment with a lacey white blanket but will certainly colour up more as she matures - there are signs of it already, dark spots were clear on her quarters in her summer coat and her skin is very spotted underneath.  On hard feed, friendly and regularly wormed. Will be registered with SHAPS.

TRESAISON DELTA  SOLD

Sire: DANCE WITH WOLVES
Dam: HELLOVALASS (KLAUS)

What she lacks in colour she certainly makes up for in quality. This filly will mature at around 16.1hh and, like her five full siblings, will be an excellent show/performance prospect. Good conformation and presence, sweet temperament and beautiful paces. Could be an excellent colour producer when bred to the right stallion as both her parents are spotted. Fully Reg BApS and eligible ApHC.

Her full brother is eventing at Intermediate, one full sister is hunting and has shown successfully and will compete again next year and her solid 2004 full brother was sold as a stallion/ show jumping prospect.
