Maybrit (Maisie) is an exciting
addition to our broodmare band. Standing at 16.3hh she is a big girl
with plenty of bone and a lovely head and kind eye.
She is a fully
graded DANISH WARMBLOOD mare by the great MAY SHERIF and bred by the well
respected Cranswick Stud in Leicestershire. Certainly the most
famous of the Danish stallions, May Sherif lived all his life in that
country, except for a short period breeding in Finland in 1987. His
breeding is a real mix: Trakehner, Holsteiner, Thoroughbred, Trakehner,
Hanoverian and Swedish Warmblood! Despite competition from imported
German and Swedish horses, May Sherif won his performance test for the
Danish Warmblood Society in 1975. Initially May Sherif started out
covering around 150 mares a year, a very high number at the time. Despite
the fact that he went on to compete at Prix St Georges level, May Sherif
lost popularity after a few years at the top and he did not cover many
mares in the 1970’s and 1980’s. However by the end of the 80’s his
value became apparent and the number and quality of the mares he covered
improved.
In 1988, he had two of his progeny competing at the Seoul Olympic Games,
Andiamo, then ridden by the Swiss Otto Hofer, and Matador with Kyra
Kyrklund. And suddenly May Sherif was not only popular in Denmark, but his
semen was being sent all around the world.
Maisie had a successful
ridden / dressage career before having her first foal in 2008 by
DENOUNCE, Louella's lovely TB stallion (this colt is for sale) see Horses
for Sale
Maisie had a lovely blanket spotted colt
by Nobody's
Harlequin on 25th June 2009. He fully registered and passported KNN
and is a stunning mover - see 2009 foals.
Maisie
has unfortunately lost her 2010 foal despite being scanned positive so has
now gone home to her owner where she will resume her ridden work before
breeding again. We thank Steven Morris for the loan of this
lovely mare.

is a retired racehorse, having raced on the flat and over hurdles. She has
a very willing temperament and passes on her refined looks and athleticism
to her foals as well as her kindness and laid back attitude..
Her first offspring, a filly by Dance
With Wolves, TRESAISON ROZEL was FEMALE CHAMPION at the 2003 NATIONAL
APPALOOSA SHOW the first time ever shown and went on to win broodmare
classes numerous times.
Rozie produced the first very special
foal by our young Knabstrupper Stallion in 2004 (see Offspring page)
who has outstanding presence and movement. TRESAISON GRACIE went on to win the BEST MARE and BEST IN SHOW at the
UK 2007 KNN
grading for her new owner Karen Wealleans.
You can never have too much of a good
thing, and Rozie foaled another stunning
bay leopard colt by Nobody’s Harlequin
in 2007 - this colt is now sold. Click

NEW:- 23rd August 2008 -

is an imported Danish Knabstrupper mare, born 2002 standing 169cm.
She has very good movement and conformation and is an excellent example of
a modern Knabstrupper. Her bloodlines include some of the most
influential Knabstruppers in
Denmark
.
She is fully graded with the KNN.
Dana's
sire, Xanthos, is the renowned leopard spotted Knabstrupper stallion
who sired Zanko, a graded Knabstrupper stallion who won two gold medals at the 2004 Paralympics in
Athens
(see News
page).
Dana had
a black few spot filly born
13th April
2005
by the
stunning Danish Knabstrupper ‘Xquisit Middelsom’ (KNN 144). In 2006
she blessed us with an outstanding leopard colt by Nobody’s
Harlequin, who was much sought after and was sold within 3 weeks
of being born! Dana foaled an equally stunning full brother, a fewspot
colt in July
2007.
This foal was awarded a PREMIUM at the KNN UK
Grading in 2007 and described as a 'harmonious type'. He has been sold to
Australia and will be the first Knabstrupper stallion to stand
there. Her 2008 colt, a beautifully put together blanket spot also
by Harley is currently for sale.

is another imported Danish mare. Born in 2000, Lambada was put
forward for her grading with the KNN in Denmark
in August
2004 where she achieved an 8 (First Premium). She is a big
mare, now standing at over 170cm.
She is
another fine example of the modern Sports type Knabstrupper with a huge
trot and tremendous elevation. She will most likely be competed in
dressage or eventing when she continues with her ridden career.
Although
a solid brown, Lambada will always produced coloured offspring when bred
to our resident Knabstrupper stallion Nobody’s Harlequin. Her
type, conformation and paces are the ideal compliment to his and she was
bought with this purpose in mind.
Her 2006 colt has been sold to a home where he will be
produced for dressage and possibly remain entire.

Another lovely fully graded and branded
Danish Knabstrupper mare. Yellow combines the Knabstrupper blood
with Danish Warmblood making her an ideal type of Sport horse mare and a
fantastic partner for our Knabstrupper stallion. Yellow was
purchased in foal and produced a superb quality 2005 bay near leopard
filly, to make around 16.1-16.2hh (see 2005
foals page) by Xantast
Middelsom KNN126 - fully graded leopard Knabstrupper stallion standing
168cm.
Her 2004 filly by the same sire won best

Her first foal by Nobody’s

She was also awarded a PREMIUM and Gold Award as well as
winning the mares class at the first UK ECHA grading in September 2007. Angel
was awarded a PREMIUM yet again at her KNN grading September 2008 with an
overall score of 8 and winning 'Best Mare' making her now a TRIPLE graded
mare! Massive paces, superb temperament,
beautiful head and temperament and of course a
guarantee of a spotted colour pattern from any of her offspring.
She breeds spotted competition horses of size and
quality. She herself is 165cm, and is pure bred being 75% Knabstrupper in the 3rd
generation.
A perfect combination of the two main Knabstrupper
Sporthorse lines in the second generation, with Apollon
as maternal grandsire and Xanthos
as paternal grandsire.
Foaled
a quality fewspot colt by Sonny Boy (ZfDP
Stallion Book 1, Bay Leopard, 157cm) he is sure to be a Knabstrupper sport horse performance prospect, not only because Sonny Boy is by the
renowned
Knabstrupper sport horse Thunder Boy, but also because this foal has
superb paces.
Angel foaled 14th June 2008 a stunning black near leopard
colt by the fantastic Oldenburg stallion Rubin

Appaloosa four times frequently beating stallions. Always a winner
and Champion when shown at National and County level. Winner in-hand,
riding horse, hunter and working hunter classes. At British Nations
Cup Hickstead 1992, she was champion in front of the renowned Klaus and
seven other stallions. See
News section for old newspaper cuttings. She was retired
from the show ring by her previous owner at 8 yrs of age to become a brood

Bibi bred a delightful filly in 2001 by Dance with
Wolves, Tresaison Sahiba, who has won or been placed top 3 every

an equally lovely bay filly in 2008 which we are also retaining at the

Unfortunately we lost our wonderful Bibi following a

died. Firtunately her legacy lives on with her daughters that we
have retained.
