Trek America 2006 | First Tour

My name is Marie-Christiane Beaudry, and during the Summer of 2006, I did my first trip ever with Trek America. And I have to add: first, but not last!

I decided to build this site when I saw that a lot of people, who had already experienced a trip with Trek America, had also built one.

This trip was actually a school trip. There were 24 of us; 18 students, from 16 to 18 years old, and then the chaperones, mostly teachers. We had 2 tour guides, Joseph and Yoann, and one support driver, Gordon.

We left Montreal on the 26th of June and came back on the 5th of July, our heart, head and luggage filled with memories.

I have to admit that, at first, I didn't know what to expect. I had never done such a long trip, without my family, and it was the first time I was really going to the USA as well. I was a bit afraid of leaving home, and I was especially afraid that I would miss my friends terribly. But then I realized that, for such a good and rich experience, being away from home, family and friend for 10 days wasn't so bad...
