INFORMAL TRAINING EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
a.k.a Rural Informal Training Classes (RITC)
The Informal Training Educational Development of our faith based Christian missionary Organization TREEM; was designed to be an instrument for building self reliance and a better future for the rural dwellers.
However, because of some logistic handicaps, this training which started since June 2004, has been able to operate effectively only in one community which has eight (8) villages. The community is called; Offiaube autonomous community, located at Oguzoronweya Local Government Area (L.G.A), in
The eight (8) villages that make up this community are: Ubegu, Achara, Ewumini, Alibaruhu, Ntezi, Obegu, Imebo and Umuigwe.
This training has been organized to make sure that the poorest rural dwellers that don’t have access to schools will be educated in their communities. This serves as an instrument for rural development.
The pictures of the school and students are not in our website because the communities head explain to us from the early stage not to take any picture or video coverage in their community that is their community law.
In this training, every indigene of that community who is within the age limits is qualified to enroll in the school because all our services to them are free. Some churches, individuals and other missions minded organizations provide some financial and material support that help to ensure that the school achieves its objectives.
All our partners in this vision are doing their best in every side for the success of this programme. Their support helps to provide some of the materials we need for the work, to see that there are qualified teachers from churches that serves as volunteers in the work. They also assist in the conveyance of the volunteers of the school programme.
The villagers and the community leader are also doing their best to support the good growth of the school by being givers. They have donated their community town hall which serves as the school venue. As good farmers they are, they provide food stuff to the teachers some times at their own will.
The school runs from Monday to Friday. The volunteer workers/teachers do paid jobs else where. Those that work in evenings; work as volunteers in the morning, while those who do paid job in the morning volunteered for evening services both men and women.
