Jarred was last seen by his mother on May 28, 2003 at 6:50am leaving his residence in Sparta, NJ (Sussex County) heading to school. Jarred was last seen at school on the above date but skipped his 8th period and was not heard from since. He was last seen wearing a Grey "Abercrombie & Fitch" Sweatshirt, Tan Pants, and White Sneakers with Red Laces. Jarred's mother stated to authorities that Jarred did runaway and stayed with a friend back in March of 2003. Jarred's friend stated that Jarred may be taking a train out of Newark heading towards Tampa, Florida. Jarred could possibly be travelling through Maryland, North Carolina and other East Coast states.

Jarred may have traveled to meet someone whom he met over the Internet. He has a mole under the left side of his mouth.

My name is Bob Jones. My work as a counselor, therapist and administrator has been in the field of adolescent treatment since 1970. These are times in which children are being exploited at an alarming rate. The statistics are both alarming and sickening!

• More than 3.2 million cases of child abuse were reported last year in the United States.
• 1 in 4 children fall victim to inappropriate touching.
• 85 percent of the predators are known to the victim.
• Most children molested were 13 or younger and half were the offender's child or other relative while...
• Much of the pornographic material on the Internet seems to be (or depicts) children in middle to late adolescence...somewhere between 12-17 (using physiological information offered by Evernerd, W. and VanderWerfforteten, J. J. Development in Adolescents. Heidelberg: Martinus Nijhoff Publishers, 1983).
• 50,000 children are reported missing every year.
• More than 700 children are abducted every year via the Internet. 

I have conducted a four-year study of the Internet in an attempt to understand its role in the increasing incidents of the sexual abuse of minors. Danger exists here as it does anywhere.  Literally hundreds of places on the web have been studied. Images and content from newsgroups, chatrooms, role playing sites, Yahoo, MSN, and both commercial and private pages were examined. The material therein, most of which is only a click away, is horrific. We ask your partnership in accomplishing these goals:

• To help curb interaction among children and pedophiles as well as to eliminate child pornography and other exploitive material in cyberspace.
• To increase awareness and provide information about child exploitation while offering venues for your donations and personal support.
