Dealing with child loss

Oh, little ones who have gone away,
My children, I wish to hold,
but my Lord has said no.
King David's words I do relate...
"I will go to them,
but he won't be returning to me."
As time goes by,
I'm given reason after reason
to want to be with Thee,
but I know I must wait patiently.
I need to fulfill God's will for me.
All must be told of the lesson learned...
Our children? They are not!
Even though we call them so.
It is like they are on loan.
At anytime they may go home.
Although I am torn,
my Lord gives me hope.
I find joy in his truth.
I am God's child too!
As for the little one still in my care,
I pray not a day goes by
he wouldn't know that he is loved,
and there is a God above.
Lord; help me teach him that,
through sharing our love and faith,
our friends and family become....
