With the current rash of layoffs, people are looking for ways of how to get layoff details on the internet. Going to the companys website may give a clue to whats going on, if you have access to their financials or current legalities. If not, you can always search different sites like Yahoo, MSN, CNN, etc. Here is a current list I found on 9 February 2009, of companies that might not survive in 2009.
1. Rite Aid may be facing company layoffs.
2. Claire's Stores may be facing company layoffs.
3. Chrysler may be facing company layoffs.
4. Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group may be facing company layoffs.
5. Realogy Corp may be facing company layoffs.
6. Station Casinos may be facing company layoffs.
7. Loehmann's Capital Corp may be facing company layoffs.
8. Sbarro may be facing company layoffs.
9. Six Flags may be facing company layoffs.
10. Blockbuster may be facing company layoffs.
11. Krispy Kreme may be facing company layoffs.
12. Landry's Restaurants may be facing company layoffs.
13. Sirius Satellite Radio may be facing company layoffs.
14. Trump Entertainment Resorts Holdings may be facing company layoffs.
15. BearingPoint may be facing company layoffs.
I actually got this information from Yahoo.com, but you can "click here" to see the actual source. You can also "click here" for other layoffs due to the current recession.
I hope that the information given and the resources stated, will assist you on how to get layoff details on the internet.

Are there any good jobs in bad economy. For some, this question has puzzled them for a few months, for others...the past 5 or 6 years. The economy has been bad for a long time but it's getting finally getting more publicity now since it's starting to affect the "Upper Class"
I was reading an article today on "Hot jobs in a down economy" and this is the list they used.
1. Restructuring Officers
2. Turnaround Experts
3. Distressed Asset Managers
4. Bankruptcy Attorneys
5. Financial Analysts
6. Budget Analysts
Now...if you really pay attention to the titles, you will see that these are jobs basically in place to "clean up" the economy or jobs available to "fix the aftermath" so to speak. Is this the job that you are looking for? Is this what it all boils down to?
I mean who really wants to start up a new resume, buy a new suit and stand in line after line for various interviews.....only to come home sweating at night hoping they were the best qualified out of hundreds of others? Not only that, what if you feel you are the best qualified and still don't get a call? How frustrating would that be?
In the book titled "Why We Want You To Be Rich" by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki....page 59 states.......
"If oil goes to over $100 a barrel, and I believe it will in the near future, the economy will suffer--but you don't have to."
This was published in 2006 and look what has happened with the oil prices in 2008. How bad did the economy get for you?
So what do we do?
Experts predict that within the next decade, 50% or more of all americans will have a home based business.
Not only is having a home based business tax deductible, but you don't have to worry about resumes, long lines and getting your suit cleaned to impress someone you really don't want to work for anyway.
