My thoughts

The first product I tried was Carmex. I've heard that it works well from others so I decided to give it a try. I had bought myself a tube and my boyfriend a tube. The first time I tried it, it smelled horrible. Well, not incredibly terrible but the smell was definately not pleasent to me. I used it to moisturize my lips but I found that my lips would get dry and chapped again after 2 to 4 hours. Sometimes, it seemed to even be more dry and it had that cracked-lip effect that does not look pleasent. I'd say I've used this product for about one and a half months even though I don't like it too much. I'd say it's okay for short-term use.

Burt's Bees! I actually looked for this product a week after I started using Carmex because I heard it was good, as well (and cause Carmex wasn't working out for me). So I got the one in the small tin pot. I love the smell, minty ^_^. I've been using it now for 2 weeks and it's been working wonders for me. Only two negatives about it though which is the tin. Using it in the tin is a tad non-hygenic if you use your fingers. BUT they've come up with the stick instead so it's easier to use. That leads to the texture of the product. The one I have (in a tin) is really hard in texture. Like... you can't use your fingers or a brush to apply it. You kind of have to scrape a bit out of the tin with like... the back of your nail or something then apply it. What is suprising though, is that it goes on smoothly. I have gone way longer with Burt's Bees than Carmex without dry, chapped lips. I'd have to say... 4 hours or longer (from the morning when I wake up at 8AM until lunch time). So, I'd definately recommend this product.
