If you're looking for Traci Hines then you found her...As you can see she is very good friends with a certain mermaid princess, so if you're looking for Ariel, you just might have found her too. ^^ This is a blog I'm starting so I can share my life with all of my WONDERFUL friends on YouTube, and anyone else that wants to get to know me a little better.
I have been an (aspiring) singer since the age of 5 years old, but have not yet quite "made it" to the point of supporting myself with my music. I hope to reach that goal SOON! In this blog I plan to share my joys and struggles with you, and take you on the journey with me as I find my way in this maze that is the music and entertainment industry!
I adore everything Disney, especially the classic princess movies. Ariel is my favorite princess by far, with Giselle from Enchanted coming in a close second. I really enjoy singing Disney songs and sometimes even "becoming" the character I'm singing as...I also love Japanese anime and one of my favorite hobbies is cosplay! If you're not familiar with the word, "cosplay" is basically designing and making costumes, usually to wear yourself. Cosplay primarily focuses on anime characters' costumes, but Disney costumes also count (thanks to a wonderful video game called Kingdom Hearts which is a hybrid between a Final Fantasy game and a Disney movie!). ^^ I enjoy cosplaying Disney the most, but also love making anime costumes as well. :D
So far this year (2008) has been a GREAT one for me. I started my YouTube account back in January and the support I've recieved from friends, both old and new, has been amazing. I never thought making videos for fun in my living room could be such a rewarding experience! It's been great to be heard and get feedback from people all over the world.
On the 4th of July I was given the most UNREAL opportunity to perform onstage at the Nokia Theater. I was a contender in the AX Idol contest at Anime Expo-the anime convention I attend every year. It was one of the best nights of my life, and really confirmed in me my absolute need to keep pursuing this with all the passion and energy I possess. God has really blessed me with opportunity, and I believe now is the time to take advantage of it! At least, I hope it is!
I am actively pursuing music. I sing in various styles including pop, musical theater, gospel, r&b, jazz and blues, and alternative/rock. I do alot of cover songs but also write my own music. If you happen to come across any information about opportunities in the California area I'd love for you to let me know!
One thing is for sure: I believe I was put here on this earth to sing. Whether that means becoming a recording artist, singing in musicals on a stage, starting a band, working at a theme park, or just singing on YouTube...it's my plan to continue. My heart's desire is to touch people through music, and this is just the beginning...
