About us

TRACIES HOME DAYCARE

I welcome your family into my heart and my Oakville (Joshua Creek)home. What I offer to you and your child is much more than just a baby-sitting service. I offer an extended family - a support system that nurtures all of us. A unique family home setting that caters to the emotional and developmental needs of all children. I provide nurturing, loving care in a professional manner.

It is often difficult for working parents to balance all the commitments and responsibilities in their lives. When your child is at my daycare home, you will receive peace of mind knowing that your child is being loved and taken care of much in the same fashion that you yourself would provide. I offer a safe, loving environment where your child will be accepted, loved, nurtured, and stimulated. Somewhere you know that your child will be respected and will be able to be a "kid".

I have 20 years experience working with children in the childcare setting. I will use my knowledge to offer stimulating, developmental activities when your child is ready for them. They include music and movement, outdoor play, practical life and sensorial activities (play dough, sand and water exploration, etc.), arts and crafts, pre reading and pre-math skills, quiet story and sharing times, manipulative, dramatic play, lots of laughter, hugs, and love.

I strive to meet your child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs. I feel children learn best in a loving, organized, natural learning environment. Your child will learn something new everyday by being a part of our extended family. Your child will learn important values such as Patience, sharing, responsibility, compassion for self and others, communication and teamwork.
He/she will also learn the basics of education such as recognizing his/her alphabet, numbers, colours, shapes and how to paint, play with dough, cut with scissors, colour and the beginning stages of reading. He/she will always be encouraged to use their imaginations while creating artwork, manipulating their own ideas and thoughts on paper or other concrete materials.

My commitment to you starts with your commitment to me. For this support system to thrive, we must have open, honest communication. Please feel free to share with me your concern, problems, and situations which will affect your child. I will share mine with you.

To help my family child care home operate smoothly, you will need to comply with my policy and contract which is attached to this letter. Please look over it very carefully and read every section. It is important that you are aware of all my policies and I want you to be able to make your decision about childcare based on the terms I will provide. I am looking forward to working with you to provide the best possible care for your child.

Welcome to my heart and home.

Your's Truly,

Tracie Murray.  (tmurray1@cogeco.ca)
