Hello/Bore Da!

Well - we did it! TeamTAFF are now back in the UK after an exhausting but brilliant week venturing around Europe in the Landy/BOFA 4x4 Rally 2008 ; Calais to Calais with 2822 miles in between through 10 Countries; France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Andorra! We saw some amazing scenery, sun and snow as well as encountering the Stelvios Pass in N Italy - the road which Top Gear regards at the best in Europe - only 48 hairpins (see pictures further down and also in the 'Photo Gallery')!!

We seemed to almost convoy throughout with five other teams and developed a real team spirit (Naming ourselves as the 'Get Lost Crew' - CB radios are great and there was much banter between us). Our group ultimately included the winning (1st place) team, the 4th placed team, our own 10th place. Also, a fellow competitor was involved in a fatal accident a few weeks before the event, so in honour of Paul Martins d'Almeida there was an additional trophy titled the 'Spirit of the Event Trophy'. This was given out to the team who gave the best support, had the best attitude, etc, and was voted for by all of our fellow competitors. TeamTAFF were privileged to be awarded the 'Spirit of the Event Trophy'!

Team TAFF's next rally will be March 6th-8th March, where they will be going under the name of 'TEAM TH13TEEN' .
