How Long Have You Been Singing? And do you write your own material?
since I was 2 yrs old, and I do write some of my material
When & how did you get discovered?
I got discovered at 8 years old by Harold McKoy who was my manager. He got me
perfomances at the Apollo where I won 9 time 1st place singing "Home" by
Stephanie Mills.
Who's your favorite artist out RIGHT NOW?
Beyonce - I love her to death she can sing her ass off
What fueled you to create a response to NE-YO's "So Sick"?
I'm actually going through the same situation in my life but from a girl's point of view.
In Your & NE-YO's version, you all mention a child & an anniversery date (which according to
you he got wrong) do you in any way have any type of relationship with him?
No I have not type of relationship with Ne-yo, but I had a great opportunity to work with the producers (Stargate) that did the track for him.
What do you look for in a man? What Qualities must he possess?
A man who understands the business, and who would trust me because in the industry you have to work with boys. The qualities they have to have is a good job, a good head on their shoulders and someone who has a future.
Are you working on an album, if so when can be expect to hear this project from you?
Yes - I'm working on my project now which is hard work, and it will probably be out in the summer or early fall.
Who are some people you would want to work with in the future?
I really want to work with Beyonce and Ray J. I also want to work with Neyo and Stevie Wonder.
What do you feel you'd be bringing to the game?
I'm different because I feel like there's only one Lil Bit and God blessed me to be different by giving me a unique voice to be little and short I've been blessed, not that size matters, but everyone will see soon.
Do you feel that the other females are competition for you to look out for?
Well, they dont have to look out for me but be prepared because I'm not coming for the beef. I'm coming to share my story with the world.
Is it true that you'll be signing Def Jam in the future? Understanding that NE-YO is signed to Def Jam, how much of that is true?
No, but it will be a blessing if I do.
After reading this interview & hearing the response that you did, what would Lil Bit want people to know about her as a musician?
That I'm a 20 years old female artist who has a two year old child, and I didnt let that stop me. I prayed everyday, and God opened another door for me, and I will be out there soon. So dont ever give up.
