Bashley Vipers were the outstanding team of the day, warming up with a good victory over Earls before tonking Colden Common by fourteen without reply.  Sam Ward grabbed his second hat-trick of the day for the Vipers in this game but he was outgunned by James Parker-Trott who notched four. Eastleigh showed the benefit of their experience in the league last year with two comprehensive victories over Littleton Lions and Marchwood.   In the second of these games Jack Jerram scored directly from the kick off, something Eastleigh have been practising, so other teams beware. Baddesley Park were the only other dual winners in this league, keeping two clean sheets to boot. Sportstars Green, one of the youngest teams in the league also had a good start picking up three points with young Lloyd Tremelyn netting in both games. Pace Panthers were the draw specialist this week, picking up a point in each of their games. Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors begin their campaign on the 17th September.

Three teams remain unbeaten after four matches in the Blue League, Bashley Vipers, Eastleigh and Baddesley Park.  The Vipers continued their impressive goalscoring grabbing twelve against Marchwood Rangers (Owen Fee 5, Matthew Brewer 3) and then seven against Littleton Lions, Sam Woodward doing the damage with a double hat-trick.  Close on their heels though are Eastleigh who have not conceded and who had impressive wins over both Colden Common and Earls. Against Earls Bradley Elkins netted four closely followed by the talented Jack Jerram with a hat-trick.Baddesley Park will be looking for any slip ups in the top two as they kept up the pressure with wins over Littleton Lions and Marchwood. Jean –Luc Ramdin was their chief marksman this week with a tally of four goals.Lowly Hythe Strikers and Earls shared the spoils in a goal-less encounter, whilst Colden Common got compensation for their earlier defeat, despatching the Strikers by a 3-1 margin.Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors both got their season off to a winning start, picking up maximum points against Sportstars Green and St Francis Rovers, Totton Rangers White banging in eleven against the latter thanks to three hat-trick men, Callum Hine, Daniel Gaudreau and Ross Stickland.  Townhill’s Hannah Chaffey became the first girl this season  to grab a brace in the U8 section, scoring both goals in their win over St Francis.

Top Match of the day in the Yellow League was the keenly awaited clash between unbeaten Bashley Vipers and Eastleigh. Both had warmed up with victories, the Vipers hammering eleven without reply against Hythe Strikers where James Parker-Trott and Sam Woodward grabbed four apiece, whereas Eastleigh beat the previously unbeaten Baddesley Park by five without reply. In an unexpected one-sided encounter it was the Vipers who emerged victorious, breaching the Eastleigh defences for the first time this season, not just once but on seven occasions, this time it was Owen Fee who earned the plaudits with a hat-trick.Baddesley Park recovered their composure sufficiently to take home the points against Hythe Strikers, with Jean-Luc Ramdin once again on the mark with a hat-trick.Colden Common B took home maximum points on the day, winning against Littleton Lions and Marchwood Rangers, Samuel Williams grabbing four against the Lions and Tom Rodford a hat-trick against the Rangers.  The Lions did get some reward for their day out, banging in six without reply against Earls, Austin Gwilliam knocking in five.  The Earls did have something to celebrate however with their first win of the season against fellow strugglers, Marchwood, Sam Chandler grabbing the only goal of the game. Totton Rangers White extended their unbeaten record with a 5-0 victory over Pace Panthers who generously donated two own goals to add to the hat-trick of Callum Hine.  They then had a much tougher encounter with Southside but emerged on top thanks to a single Ross Stickland strike. Townhill fought a goal-less draw with Southside before running out 4- 0 victors over the Panthers. Hannah Chaffey was once again the heroine, going one better than last week, this time grabbing what must be the first girls hat-trick in the EDMSL.

Marchwood Rangers secured their first win of the season this week in the Blue League as they ran out convincing 4-0 winners over fellow strugglers Pace Panthers, Robert Bradley grabbing a brace for the Rangers.  The Rangers then just missed out on another point as they were narrowly beaten by Southside, who themselves then lost by a similar margin to Littleton Lions for whom Austin Gwilliam grabbed a hat-trick. The Lions went home with all the spoils having previously despatched the Panthers with goals from Austin Gwilliam and Thomas Steggle. TV Sports presenter Andy Steggle is now starring in a new role, as referee for the Lions in their home games.High riding Eastleigh recovered from last weeks hiccup to get back on the winning track with victories over Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors. Both losing clubs however picked up quick compensation by inflicting heavy defeats on luckless Hythe Strikers. At the top of the Blue League, Bashley Vipers maintain their magnificent form with a 5-0 victory over Sportstars Green and doubling that tally with ten of the best against St Francis Rovers where Sam Woodward banged in seven.Baddesley Park shared the points with Sportstars Green, Jean-Luc Ramdin’s brace for the Park being matched by a pair  from George Hewitt for the Sportstars. Baddesley finished off the day in good style with a 3-0 victory over St Francis.

Bashley Vipers are looking invincible at the top of the Blue League, this weeks unfortunate opposition being Pace Panthers who leaked ten (Matthew Brewer (4)) and Southside who kept the score down to four.  Eastleigh had the week off, allowing Baddesley Park and Totton Rangers White to move above them. Baddesley had narrow wins over Pace Panthers and Southside, whilst Totton Rangers White had a slightly easier time of it with more convincing victories over Littleton Lions and Marchwood Rangers. Both losers also fell victim to Townhill Emperors, the Rangers losing out to a brace from Andrew Campbell whilst the Lions were tamed by a single from goal machine, Hannah Chaffey.Congratulations also go to Earls for their first double victory of the season, edging out both St Francis Rovers and Sportstars Green by the odd goal. The Greens also fell to Colden Common B by the odd goal, but the Rovers did manage to salvage a point in their encounter with the Common.

Bashley Vipers are looking invincible at the top of the Blue League, this weeks unfortunate opponents being Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors. The Vipers hammered in seven without reply against Townhill, Owen Fee netting a hat-trick. They then destroyed Totton Rangers White with a nine goal salvo, Owen Fee once again being the main marksman with a four goal haul. It was not a good day for high riding Baddesley Park who lost both of their games by a 2-1 margin, going down to last minute strikes in both encounters against Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors. Pace Panthers picked up their first point since the opening day of the season when they shred the spoils with Earls, they also went close against Colden Common B but lost out to a single strike from Tom Rodford.  Southside are on an upward curve, this week taking home all four points with 3-0 and 3-1 wins over Earls and Colden Common respectively. St Francis Rovers finally got a win under their belt thanks to a 4-1 win over Hythe Strikers.  They were soon brought back to earth however when they went down by six clear goals to the strong Eastleigh outfit. A Cameron Thomas hat-trick for Eastleigh sunk Sportstars Green who then bounced back to record a 5-0 victory over Hythe, thanks to Lloyd Tremelyn and Dan Smith who  scored two goals apiece.

Totton Rangers White are going along strongly and kept up the pace with good victories over Colden Common B (3-0) and Earls (7-0), Ross Stickland getting a hat-trick against the Earls. Littleton Lions have Thomas Steggle to thank for their 5-0 victory over St Francis Rovers, Thomas grabbed all five goals, a feat that might persuade dad TV presenter Andy to bring along the cameras to the most entertaining football seen on the south coast!  St Francis did go home with a rare point sharing the spoils with fellow basement dwellers Marchwood Rangers, who also drew with Sportstars Green. The Lions went home with all the spoils when they also beat Sportstars Green 3-1. There is no stopping Hannah Chaffey who netted a brace in the 4-2 victory over Earls and then grabbed a single in the 2-2 draw with Colden Common B, matching her with the same tally in each game was Jack Gooderham. Southside scored four without reply against Hythe Strikers before falling to a Jack Jerram hat-trick in their defeat by high riding Eastleigh. Down in the basement Pace Panthers secured their first win of the season courtesy of a Josh Clark brace and screamer from Aaron Ottembrajt that Gareth Bale would have been proud of.  The gap between the top and bottom of the league was exposed though when they were on the wrong end of a 6-0 reverse at the hands of Eastleigh for whom Jack Jerram and Bradley Elkins helped themselves to two apiece.

It took Bashley Vipers some time to get going after the long layoff but they did scrape home with the only goal of the game against Littleton Lions. When they did finally blow the cobwebs away, it was in devastating fashion, as they hammered in fourteen without reply against Marchwood Rangers, no less than three players grabbing four apiece, those being Sam Woodward, Owen Fee and James Parker-Trott. Littleton Lions did get some reward following their gallant effort against the Vipers as they scored two without reply against Baddesley Park, who themselves had won by a similar margin in their earlier match against Marchwood. Totton Rangers White took home maximum points and a vastly improved goal difference as they despatched St Francis Rovers 6-0 and Sportstars Green 4-0. Townhill playing against the same opposition drew with the Rovers and beat the Sportstars 2-0. Eastleigh also had a good day back banging in seven against Earls and six against Colden Common B. Colden Common had mixed fortunes having earlier won 5-1 against struggling Hythe Strikers, Sam Williams scoring three for the Common. Hythe remain firmly entrenched at the bottom following their second defeat of the day, going down 2-0 to Earls.

In the top of the table clash Bashley Vipers came out on top once again against Eastleigh winning 2-0 after a tightly fought battle. In their second games Eastleigh lowered Baddesley Park’s colours whilst the Vipers once again put on their shooting boots to bang in eight without reply against Hythe Strikers, Matthew Brewer’s hat-trick supported by braces from Jamie Driver and Sam Woodward. The Strikers did pick up a rare point though in their goal-less draw against Baddesley who are now slipping down to mid table after a strong start to the season. Totton Rangers White are now level on points in second spot thanks to convincing victories over Southside (4-0) and Pace Panthers (7-0).  All of Totton’s goals coming from the dangerous trio of Callum Hine, Daniel Gaudreau and Ross Stickland.  Townhill Emperors consolidated fourth spot with four goal victories over the Panthers and Southside. Littleton Lions were the other side in this league to pick up maximum points with wins over Earls and Colden Common B, Austin Gwilliam scoring three in the Earls game.  Marchwood Rangers had a Robert Bradley hat-trick to thank for a surprise victory over the Commoners. Marchwood also picked up a valuable point in a 0-0 draw with Earls to give manager Spencer Hufton an early Christmas present and their best daily haul of the season.

The Blue League fell victim to the weather this week, as one of their pitches was totally unplayable and the other barely so.  The fixtures of Sportstars Green, Earls and Littleton Lions were therefore postponed.  Bashley Vipers did manage to get both games under way, in the first they struggled to overcome Southside, but eventually ran out 3-0 winners. In  the second match, normal service was restored with the Vipers running in eleven without reply against Pace Panthers, Owen Fee and Sam Woodward both grabbing hat-trick.  Southside went on to a 2-0 victory over Baddesley Park, courtesy of goals from Dan Drummond and Mustapha Poswall. Baddesley did however pick up two points in a 3-0 win over Pace, aptly named Joe Parkes netting two for the Park. Marchwood Rangers did get in two games against Townhill Emperors and Totton Rangers White, but still went home pointless as the Emperors edged them out 2-1 and then Totton knocked in three without reply. The only other game to be played in the Blue League saw St Francis Rovers draw with Colden Common B, Toby Reed grabbing two for the Rovers.

Bashley Vipers maintained their 100% record with wins over Townhill Emperors and Totton Rangers White but it was not all plain sailing. Townhills Millie Peak, played a stormer in goal but the Vipers pressure finally told and they eventually put five away without reply. Totton Rangers, fresh from their 6-1 victory over Baddesley Park (where Daniel Gaudreau scored all six), then gave the Vipers the shock of their lives as they took an early lead.  The Vipers did manage to peg them back with an equaliser just before half-time but the result remained in doubt right up to the last few minutes, when the Vipers finally secured the points with two late goals. Eastleigh strengthened their position in runners up spot, putting five past Sportstars Green without reply, Jack Jerram scoring three.  They then had to battle hard to overcome an improving St Francis Rovers, eventually recording a 2-0 win. Hythe Strikers remain firmly entrenched at the bottom of the table, losing to St Francis and Sportstars by 5-0 and 4-0 respectively. Earls were on the wrong end of two narrow defeats against Southside and Pace Panthers.  It was a good day for Southside who picked up maximum points by overcoming Colden Common B 3-0.  The Common did get some compensation, pipping Pace by the odd goal in three.

With Bashley Vipers having a week off, the spotlight fell on the chasing teams Eastleigh and Totton Rangers White.  Eastleigh maintained their good form with comfortable victories over Pace Panthers 5-0 and Southside 4-0.  The losers did get some compensation however, as both Pace and Southside picked up wins against bottom club Hythe Strikers.  Totton ran riot against Earls, Daniel Gaudreau again doing most damage with seven in their 10-0 win. Totton had earlier disposed of Colden Common B by the odd goal in three. Colden Common then went on to lose to Townhill 3-1.  Townhill had earlier edged past Earls to also pick up maximum points for the day. Littleton Lions also picked up four points, beating Sportstars Green 3-0, Thomas Steggle putting away two, and then following up with a comfortable 6-0 win over St Francis Rovers, where Austin Gwilliam helped himself to a hat-trick. Marchwood Rangers had one of their best days of the season, drawing with St Francis before hammering Sportstars Green by five without reply, Robert Bradley netting four of them.

Baddesley Park turned in the performance of the day when they held previously unbeaten Bashley Vipers to a 2-2 draw. Baddesley twice took the lead, only to see the Vipers peg them back on each occasion, the Vipers second goal coming with just a few seconds left on the clock. In the second match the young Baddesley side, tired by their earlier exertions, proved no match for the powerful Vipers who scored six without reply, Sam Woodward scoring a brace and James Parker-Trott a hat-trick. Eastleigh seemed to have cemented runners up spot with two thumping wins over Hythe Strikers, Their 9-0 victory was bettered by a 12-0 score-line in the second match.  Brad Elkins was the main destroyer netting four followed by a seven. Jack Jerram was not far behind Brad, scoring a hat-trick then following up with five. Totton Rangers White lost ground on the leaders, their 1-0 win over Townhill was then reversed in the second encounter which saw Townhill consolidate their fourth position.  Just behind Townhill, Littleton Lions built on their cup success last week by picking up four points against Marchwood Rangers.  Thomas Steggall, who was missing for the cup games returned in style scoring four in the 6-0 win in the first match and then scoring the only goal of the game in a much tighter second game. The turn around of the day was from Colden Common B, who having lost 3-0 to Earls in their first game, bounced back to record a 5-0 win in the second game, Sam Daniel scoring a hat-trick for the Common, to equal Sam Chandlers feat for Earls in the earlier game. Pace Panthers and Southside shared the honours in their back-to-back encounter, Southside winning the first match 2-1 before being edged out by the only goal of the game in the second.  Sportstars Green recorded their first double victory of the season at the expense of St Francis Rovers.  The Rovers didn’t go down without a fight, but a Dan Smith hat-trick in the first and a George Hewitt brace in the second was enough to lower the Rovers colours by 3-2 then 2-1.

Bashley Vipers need just one more point to secure the Blue League title following their two wins this weekend. Their first match was plain sailing with the Vipers netting six without reply against Colden Common B, Sam Woodward, Owen Fee and Dan Brewer all weighing in with two apiece. The Vipers second match against Earls was expected to go the same way but the Earls lads didn’t read the script. The Vipers decided to play "crossbar challenge" in the first half, hitting the woodwork no less than four times in the opening 10 minutes! The second half saw some of the bravest defending of the season from a resolute Earls side camped in their own half for much of the second period, goal line clearances, last ditch tackles and shot stopping body blocks were the order of the day, but with just 2 minutes left to play James Parker-Trott popped up with the winner for the Vipers.  The Earls also lost to a solitary Max Vince goal in their earlier match with Baddesley Park, who then shared the points in a 1-1 draw with Colden Common. Eastleigh were made to fight all the way in their narrow 2-1 victories over Marchwood Rangers and Littleton Lions but the wins virtually guarantee them at least runners up spot on account of their superior goal difference. Littleton Lions did get into the scoring habit ahead of next weeks Team Elite semi-final netting six without reply against Hythe Strikers, Thomas Steggall bagging a hat-trick in the process.  Marchwood also sunk the Strikers by 2-1 to deprive their near neighbours of their first win of the season. Sportstars Green continued their improved form under new manager Kevin Jones picking up maximum points with narrow wins over Southside and Pace Panthers. Pace’s Josh Clark having scored the opener then saw his penalty brilliantly saved by Sportstars Matthew Jones, who then went up the other end to score a penalty himself.  Two quick second half goals from JJ Thakrar and Dan Smith for Sportstars then put the game beyond recall from the Panthers, who did get some compensation drawing their other game with St Francis Rovers 1-1. A Jordan Collin brace was sufficient to give Southside the points in their second match against St Francis.

Bashley Vipers were fittingly the first team to win their League this week, having dropped only one point all season and scored nearly 180 goals.  They secured the one point necessary to win the Blue League title in style, thumping nine without reply against St Francis Rovers, Matt Brewer and James Parker-Trott helping themselves to four goals and a hat-trick respectively.  The Vipers then went on to a 6-3 victory over a spirited and young Sportstars Green side.  The game was noted for a cameo performance from the Vipers keeper, Jamie Cummings who left his normal position between the posts and with his first outfield touch , dribbled passed three players to score a memorable goal, Matt Brewer also weighed in with a brace.  Eastleigh confirmed the runners up spot behind the Vipers with a 4-2 victory over nearest challengers Totton Rangers White and a 3-0 win over fourth placed Townhill Emperors. Baddesley Park took home three points on their last day courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Sportstars Green and a 5-0 victory over St Francis Rovers where Joe Parkes netted three times and Jean-Luc Ramdin twice. Fair play winners Hythe Strikers could not secure their first win as they fell to both Totton Rangers White and Townhill Emperors. Totton put nine past them as Daniel Gaudreau scored a hat-trick and then Townhill weighed in with three without reply. Marchwood Rangers had mixed fortunes, beating Pace Panthers 2-0 and then losing by the same score to Southside. Littleton Lions fought out a 1-1 draw with Southside before finishing on a high with a 6-0 win over Pace Panthers, Josh Stirling scoring his first hat-trick of the season for the Lions
