TOTTON RANGERS
CLUB HISTORY
Founded 1980

"......the aim of the Club is to foster a spirit of friendship, sportsmanship and loyalty, and to provide enjoyment from Junior Soccer"

The club TOTTON RANGERS, which is proud of its playing and sportsmanship record, was founded/formed by Dave Stickland for his son Paul (who is now managing one of the under 8 teams). In 1980 when the club was formed, the team was made up of Paul and School friends and entered into Totton and Eling under 12 League - (back then the league was not in age groups) playing on a Saturday morning in local parks. Over the next 2 to 3 years Totton Rangers had great success in this league winning their division and cup games alike, with great support from parents the club then entered the SouthamptonTyro League playing their games on a Sunday, from that day things have got bigger and bigger when Totton rangers decided to expand adding team after team. Even now Dave is still Chairman and his wife Sue are still active within Totton Rangers overseeing the Clubs games when possible and Sue doing the accounts and other duties. Since the early days the aim of the club has been to provide football for as many boys as possible with the main emphassis being enjoyment. The Clubs official colours are white and blue if you had not already guessed !!! Due to the number of boys in the area now wishing to play football for the under 8's, two teams were formed - Totton Rangers White and Totton Rangers Blue a total of 16 boys, 8 in each team. The Club is run entirely on a voluntary basis, although most of the Club’s coaches have attended FA courses. All funds raised are used to develop opportunities for young players in the area. The Club aims to continue to provide a positive and healthy outlet for the energies of children and young people in the area. With the support of the community, players and their families, the Club should continue to develop to the benefit of the whole of the area. Totton Rangers Football Club is based in Totton, Southampton, Hampshire, England, and we train every Saturday morning at 10.30 at Totton rec (unless we got a tournament or game on). The U8's is a member of the Eastleigh and District Mini Soccer League.
