"Mom can I have some company over before dinner?" Jen asked her mom walking into her bedroom. "Sure honey. Who is it?" "Oh just Elisha and some new girl at school. Her name is Martha and she just moved here from Utah." Daina had started walking out of the bedroom. "Ok thats fine. I look forward to meeting her." She said smiling then heading down stairs.

*ring* *ring* "Yeah!" "Is Elisha home yet?" "Hold on." *yelling* Elisha its for you!" Jenn waited a few moments before the phone was picked up again. "Hey whats up?" Elisha questioned her friend. "Nothing much. I wanted to know if you'd like to hang out for a bit?" "Yeah cool. I'll see if Matt can ride me over. Hold on. *screaming* MAAAAATT! Can you give me a ride over Jen's house?..... Ok, I'll be there in 10. Bye." "Bye." *click* Jen then called Martha she was allowed over as well. Martha said ok and she'd be there soon.

Elisha and Martha arrived at the same time and found Jen sitting on her fornt porch waiting for them. Elisha tunred to her brother and waved bye. "Your picking me up later right?" She shouted as he drove off. Matt beeped to let her know it was a yes. Martha shut her parent's car door while her father gave her a disaproving look based on how her new friend dressed. She smiled and walked away.

"Why are you sitting out here in the cold? Are you trying ot catch the flu?" Elisha scolded Jen. "Yeah yeah, what are you my mom?" The girls laughed. "Come on inside my mom wants to met you Martha." Martha was a bit nervous, this was the first time she'd ever been over someone's house who wasn't mormon, and she had no idea what to expect. This was also her first year in public school. Her motehr had always homeschooled her, but after her fathers job made cut backs they had to move soemplace thatw as more conducive for them. So they chose Pittsburgh, this was also her first time mixing with non-mormons as well in public school. She was happy that she met Jen and Elisha, she was starting to think everyone was like Cassandra.

"It's so nice to met you. I'm Daina, and you can call me that if you like. And that man over there [pointing to Jeff] is Jeff, Jen's father." "It's nice to met." Martha said starting to blush. "Let's go to my room." Jen said jumping up walking towards the stairs. Elisha followed grabing Martha by the arm.

"And then it was so embarissing. I can't believe my brother did that." Jen finished saying with a flushed look upon her face. She fell back aginst the cair and blow her breath up to blow the stray hair on her forhead. "Well Martha got anything to add." Elisha tunred the conversation towards her. "Oh, no. [turing red] I really don't have much to say I guess." "Well do you at lest wonder why Cassandra acts the way she does?" "Yes, I do. Why is she so mean?" Jen laughed and scooched her chair closer to Elisha and Martha. "Mean is an understament. She makes the wicked witch of the West look bad." "HA! Tell me about it. She's just like that with anyone who she feel crossed her, or she just doesn't like. And she's a spoiled self absorbed brat. who feels the world revolves around her." "But what about her friends? Are tehy just like her?" Martha asked.

"Man I'm hungry. Why is it that this topic always makes me hungry. [laughing] Well you mean Heather Sanders and Nikki Myers. Well Heather just happned to met me and Cassandra who were friends at the time at summer camp. And we all hit it off, this was back in 6th grade, the summer before we started 7th. As for Nikki, well her parents are just as rich and spoiled her just as much as Cassadnra, so of course they hit it off quickly." Elisha had moved from the floor and was looking in Jen's history notebook. "So you two uesed to be firends?" Martha questioned, now turining to face Elisha. "Yup, keyword USED to." "So what happned you never told me?" Jen chimed in now too turning to face Elisha. Elisha fell back onto the rug and streeched out, placing her hands behind her head looking up at the celing. "Well *sighing* it all happned last summer. Well not really, maybe like the year before. I decided I wanted a change, something from the 'norm'. So I dyed my hair black..." "Yeah I remember that. I was so shocked to see your blonde locks gone." "Ha ha ha, yeah I know. You should have seen my mom she almost died. And then Cassandra saw it and she was cool. But then I started to dress differently. Which really throw her for a loop. She couldn't get with the edger stuff, but as a 'friend' she stuck with me. Then I joined my brothers band, and that was almost the straw that borke the camels back. But it wa until we were at this beach party in Florida and she saw me and Kavin kissing." "Oh my God, you kissed Kevin?" "NO! *rollign eyes* He KISSED me, I was not a willing participant. But as Cassandra saw it, I was trying to take the soon to be her man from her. So she got all pissed spread a roumor around that she saw me 'servicing' him. And that was the end of that." "Umm...not to sound dumb but whats 'servicing'?" martha asked. "Oh, its you know [making hand gestures] pleasing a man orally." Jen said trying ot keep a straight face, which only confused Martha more. "Awww..can't you see the poor girl is still confused." Elisha laughed. "It's another word for oral sex." Martha looked as if she was going to turn green just then Dania called up for dinner. "Here we come mom. So did Cassadnra ever get with Kevin?" "Yeah *rolling eyes* Just whole we were in florida, after that she broke up with him."

"So I hear Elisha that you'r trying to break into hollywood?" Jeff said glancing at her over his steak. "Yeah [pushing the meat to the side of the plate] We just recorded a demo cd. And we sent it off. So we hope to hear back from soemone by Friday." "This is so exciting. I can't wait I hope they call, cause it's Wensday all ready. Can't you call or something?" Jen asked with excitement. "I'll know a ceelbrity!"  "Ha yeah I wish. But I have a feeling someone will call." Everyoen finished their meal in silence.
