Sheikh Mohammed stressed that we must work hard to create our
own good fortune, saying: “The sky doesn’t rain
gold and silver… we must get it from the Earth”.
He also conceded that Dubai’s major problem can be found
on the roads. “Our main problem is traffic and Allah gave
us the brain to think about this problem and find solutions
for it. The Metro is not the solution.We have many other solutions.
“For example, the main traffic jam is always on Sheikh
Zayed Road towards Garhoud Bridge. The Garhoud Bridge is not
the cause of the problem but because there are six lanes on
Sheikh Zayed Road that end up as two lanes on Garhoud Bridge,
this leads to a bottleneck. This is the main problem. |
