What I got: Total Sigs = 56

- Norm Hutchins-1/1-nice guy, signed the only one I had
- Matt Beech-3/3-nice guy as well, signed them all

- Jason Simontacchi-5/6-wouldn't sign the Fleer Tradition, I heard he dedicated the card to his mother
- Jimmy Journell-13/13-team seemed to be a St. Louis Cardinals X top prospect squad, also on the roster is Scott Layfield, Journell described himself as 'wasted talent' when I wished him the best of luck in the future...way to be positive

Goals: Main goal is to get Jim Buckley for my Pawsox team set. Am hoping to get Juan Gonzalez from LI.
Story of the Game: What an easy park to get autos at. Helped that there was a 15 minutes autograph session on the field before the game, but I think I still would have done pretty well. Juan Gone signed away for 15 minutes during the auto session, and didn't look up once. After I got him the first time and noticed there was practically no line later in the session, I got back in and he signed again. Only dissapointment was Jeff Urban, who was the starter, and didn't sign. Got a lot of info from a couple of local guys and am now setting my eyes on Shea Stadium this coming weekend.
What I got: Total Sigs = 70
Somerset
- Fernando Lunar-6/6-signed them all right before the auto session
- Jim Burt-1/1-traded for this unsigned card right before he walked in, kid is on an 06 Bowman and already in the Indy Leagues
- Sam McConnell-3/14-was only signing three for everyone before the game
- Jim Buckley-1/1-got me before he went out for warmups
- Larry Barnes-2/2-FINALLY, been following him around for years, what a relief
- Todd Moser-18/18-had 41 of him, told him to keep as many as he wanted, took a bunch and signed a few for some of the kids around, thanks a lot Todd
- Edgard Clemente-21/21-hasn't changed one bit from his days in Pawtucket, actually seems a little bit more friendlier, still an awesome guy
Long Island
- Kevin Haverbusch-3/3-X-Sox prospect signed them all
- Jim Mann-3/3-yet another X-Sox prospect, told him where I was from and he got a good chuckle
- Juan Gonzalez-5/5-sat there and signed away during the session, all look awesome
- Elvis Pena-2/2-03 Bowman and a CO Springs Sky Sox card
- Erick Almonte-2/2-two CO Sky Sox cards, one was the team photo

Goals: Hoping to get Josh Banks, Gustavo Chacin, Francisco Rosario, Russ Adams and Josh Towers.
The Report: Great game to watch. Saw Josh Banks pitch, which was why he did not sign before the game. He was a great guy after the game as well as most of the other guys. The only non-signers were Chad Motolla and now the currect leader for the biggest shut down of the year, Jon Woodworth, the trainer. I did not see Adams after the game and Rosario and Chacin were apparently called back up right before the game. I was glad to add the Ron Calloway from the Pawsox team set card to the autoed set. He is a real toughie.

Goals: Wouldn't mind getting Murphy, Pedroia and Jake Dittler from Buffalo. Obviously wouldn't mind adding Franklin Guiterrez or Ryan Garko either.
The Report: Only major thing to happen during this one came from Jason Stanford. After the game I asked him to sign, I had four cards at that time. As he was finishing signing one he gave me the sharpie back and some guy tapped me on the shoulder and asked for one of the unsigned ones for a buck. I said sure. Jay asked Stanford to sign an index card, which he said he couldn't. Jay turned around to me and said hand me one of the ones you didn't get as Stanford was signing for the guy I sold one card to. I gave Jay a card and he turned to Stanford and asked him to sign it. Stanford then said, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, your going to ruin it for everybody." Now granted the card was for me, but a bum like Stanford should thank me for wanting his autograph not throw a mere fit when someone he declined a request from because of a blank index card asks him to sign a card. Oblivious. The only guy Jay got that I didn't was Ramon Vasquez. The non-signers were Ryan Garko and Franklin Guitterrez, the two reasons for going.
What I got: Total Sigs = 21
Pawtucket
- Corky Miller-1/1-still is one per, awful sig
- Dustin Pedroia-1/1-also still one per, got him as he was sneaking out the side exit

Jay here. This past weekend in Brockton, the town held a weekend-long tribute to the Marvelous One. My Mother is good friends with both Marvin's Mother and Marvin's cut-man, Pit Perron. Pit took Sean and I into a private plaque dedication at a nearby college and we were able to meet Marvin. He signed pictures for both of us. For those of you wondering, Marvin is living in Italy as both a boxing commentator on the BBC, and also a soap-opera star. The man of many talents was around Saturday night as well to watch the first annual amateur boxing tourney in his name. I was able to meet fighters Kevin McBride and Vito Antuerfermo, and hung out with my boy Willie Gibbs (20-1 w/ 16 KO's).

Goals: Gio Gonzalez, Jeremy West and Brandon Moss. Obviously wouldn't mind adding Jacoby Ellsbury either.
Story of the game: Little more Eastern League action. In Portland, the gate open an hour 1/2 prior to the game which was better then Harrisburg at least. Jay and I had a pretty good time and each got two balls after the game. I also was lucky enough to get the Portland lineup card.
What I got: Total sigs = 32 Four Balls (Two for Jay and I each) and a Line-up card from the Portland dugout
Reading
- Jason Jaramillo-1/1-signed a ticket

Portland
- Luis Jimenez-1/1-after his 0-5 day he signed a card, gave Jay and I a ball and then handed me the line-up card

Goals: Adam Miller and Brad Snyder. Also am trying to get Kevin Kouzmaoff on a ball.
Story of the game: Gates only opened an hour prior to the game which sucked. Jay and I still did quite well however. After the game was very easy as there was only one escape route for both teams. The weather was hot, but all the autos look great. Overall I rate the Harrisburg park a B+.
What I got: Total sigs = 37
Harrisburg
- Dante Bitchette-1/1-signed my ticket, hitting instuctor for the squad
- Kory Casto-5/5-signed them all before leaving

Akron

- Sean Smith-1/1-bit rushy, but signed for whoever
- Ivan Ochoa-3/5-don't know if he didn't see the others or what
- Dan Denham-2/2-worst sigs I have seen all year

- Tony Sipp-1/1-signed my ticket
- Nathan Panther-2/2-stopped before riding the bench
- Bear Bay-1/1-mad props to anyone with the nickname Bear, only three people in this world can pull that off, Bear Bay, Bear Bryant, and of course Sean Bear
- Dave Wallace-1/1-hopefully will turn out better then the old pitching coach for the Red Sox
- Jared Sandberg-6/6-attitude...your in AA Jared
- Adam Miller-3/3-wouldn't before the game, happily signed afterwards
- Kevin Kouzmanoff-1/1-signed an IL ball on the SS...wouldn't sign index cards for Jay
- Brad Snyder-3/3-nice guy actually, thought he was going to be tougher

The Report: Not a bad afternoon. Picked myself up a new team set, which I started in on. Fields, Redding and Hermanson were the D-Bags of the day. Suprise signer of the day was Wily Mo Pena. Goals: Adam Lind and David Purcey are the main goals for NH. For New Britian, I would like to add Matt Moses and Glen Perkins to my collection. Looking to get Moses on a ball.
Story of the game: Purcey was the starter, so he didn't sign. NH was one of the worst parks to get autos after the game. The player parking lot and visitors bus is all locked off with a "security gaurd." I didn't realize I had to do all my autographing inside, so I suffered after the game, only getting one sig. The only non signer was Jose Morales. Guess when you play in AAA for twenty games your a big shot. See you in Brockton in a few years Jose. David Purcey got destroyed in this one, just wanted to wish him the best in his hopes to get to the bigs. The sweet thing about this one was it was a team set giveaway. Also met a fan of the site, who tried to warn me how tough it was to get sigs. It's great to meet people who love this site!
What I got: Total Sigs = 9

- Mike MacDonald-1/1-looks like I got one of the promising young Jay's pitcher, looks like he's all I got for NH

- Matt Moses-2/2-Eastern League ball SS obtained by my lovely girl friend, also signed my Bowman rookie after being tricked
- Trent Oeltjen-1/1-nice enough guy to sign before the game

The Report: Roberson was an awsome signer. Floyd as always only signed a couple and I wasn't one of the lucky ones this time. I got most of the guys I needed. They will return for a few more games so I should be able to finish them off then. Bad news of the day was when I handed Roberson a ball I forgot to tell him to sign it on the SS. - Andy Tracy-10/10-didn't even know he was signing my book because it was hanging over the dugout, all the sigs look great, thanks Mr. Tracy
- Luis Terrero-2/4-one of the few who actually got him
- Napolean Calzado-6/7-skipped around both 02 Heritages for some reason, then went back and signed one, I gave the other one to Jay who got it signed for himself
- Keith Reed-3/4-signed three, gave him one to keep
- Eddy Garabito-3/9-told me he only had time for three
- Adam Loewen-3/3-did a on the spot 50/50 with somebody which is why one is signed in black, he was doing 2 per for everybody
- Eddy Rodriguez-2/2-it says on the back on his card 6'1'', try 5'1'' Upper Deck
- Val Majewski-2/5-said he would finish them off tomorrow
- Eli Whiteside-1/1-first ever player that I have seen with gray hair
- Winston Abreu-1/1-is in the running for slowest signer all year
- Dallas Williams-2/2-told me to make it so he can sign them, sorry buddy, didn't think it could be any more obvious, they were the only two cards on the page
- Franklyn Gracequi-1/1-signed my ticket

Goals: Columbus has nobody as far as prospects are concerned. Hopefully I will be able to get some of the veteran players they have on the squad however. Sean Henn and Steven White are guys I wouldn't mind getting.
Story of the game: Both Saturday's and Sunday's games were postponned due to all the rain we have gotten here. According to the Pawsox website they will make up both games IN Columbus so they don't have to come back to Pawtucket. This stinks because now I have no shot at getting any Clippers players because they only come in for the one series.

Story of the Game: My first ever shut-down at a Rox game came today. Wilton Veras gave me the, "Tomorrow," to my displeasure. I needed him on some old Pawsox team sets. I did however get the oppertunity while waiting to get Orloski and Belcher.
What I got: Total Sigs = 7

- Joe Orloski-2/2-didn't look anything like the cards, decent guy though

Goals: These games are really enjoyable and easy to get sigs at. I will be looking to get a team ball for each team as well as Joe Savery on the SS of a ball.
Story of the game: Pretty good night for getting these guys. Ended up with a good amount of guys, almost the whole Wareham squad. Bad thing was the College World Series is still going on so some of the big names from the higher profile schools weren't there.
What I got: Total Sigs = 31

- Greg Montalbano-8/10-let him keep a couple, he appreciated my support for him because of his injury, nice guy to talk with

Goals: Sometime in this series I would like to obtain Jamal Strong and Ricardo Rodriguez on the Bowman Draft Pick cards that I need them on. I would also like to get James Jurries, Anthony Lerew, Kelly Johnson and as always Craig Hansen and Jon Lester.
Story of the Game: Richmond was a great signing club. Nobody shut me down that I went for before and after the game. The only Pawsoxs not to sign were Hee Seop Choi and Craig Hansen. Suprise, suprise.

- Rolando Viera-11/12-gave him one to keep, he turned around and gave it to a girl

Goals: I am going to try and get the guys after the game. Still shooting for the same guys, William Bergola and Chris Denorfia. I also hope to catch Craig Hansen again.
Story of the Game: The game went so long that I could only stay after for so long due to time. I got Hansen again on one card. He scribbled his name down and then just tossed my sharpie down onto my book. Once he stopped, he was done and he made sure everybody knew it. Wish I had done a bit better, but glad to get my Hansen cards out of the way so I can try for him on balls.
What I got: Total sigs=16

- Manny Delcarmen-9/9-great guy as usual
- Craig Hansen-1/1-more about him above, so check that out
- Brad Baker-1/4-signed everything for everyone else, I got him last after all the 50 year olds, so he was probably tired of signing, see nice guys don't always finish first

Goals: I should do really well this game. I have all but a couple cards of guys on Louisville. I am going to be doing before and after the game. Not sure how early I will arrive but I hope to get guys on Louisviller like William Bergola and Chris Denorfia. This will be my first attempt at Craig Hansen so wish me luck. I hope to get Pedroia and Delcarmen again before the Red Sox start there midseason shopping spree. Wish me luck.
Story of the Game: Well I only got snuffed by one guy, Jake Robbins, so all in all it was a great day. Hansen was in a rush to say the least so he was strict about one per. I got Pedroia before the game on a ball. I only got there about 30 minutes before game time so I only brought a ball inside. I could only stay after so long after the game because I had a final tomorrow so my parents wanted me home. I did well considering the time constraints that were in place. I am thinking about hitting Louisville again on Friday. We will see what the weather looks like.
What I got: Total sigs=52
Pawtucket
- Dustin Pedroia-2/2-signed a ball before and a card after
- Matt Ginter-2/2-rushy, but signed everything for abybody
- Jermaine Van Buren-9/9-FINALLY see this guy and the cards turn out awful because of the gloss, he was very nice about it and tried re-signing and grabbing another guys sharpie
- Jeff Bailey-4/9-said he would finish them up later, he is a changed man from last year for sure, much friendlier
- Jon Lester-4/7-pitched great and signed even better
- Manny Delcarmen-9/9-talked to Jay about living in my small town, he says he loves it here though, maybe I will see him driving around one of these days
- Craig Hansen-1/2-as stated above, strict about 1 per, signed for anybody who could keep up
Louisville
- Chris Denorfia-3/7-was on the phone and trying to balance my book, not a good mix
- Mike Gosling-4/9-very nice guy, said he would finish them up another day
- William Bergolla-3/9-signed two Bowmans then my SPx, asked if I had another SPx, I said no sorry, he handed my sharpie back
- Ray Olmedo-4/4-very willing signer, didn't expect him to be this good
- Scott Chiasson-4/4-nice guy, got him mixed up with Standridge, he didn't mind though, appreciated his quick little sig
- Alex Snachez-2/3-second guy that I have gotten IP that has been caught for steroids, the first being Jon Nunnally
- Dane Sardinha-1/1-signed while on his telephone

Goals: Cole Hamels and Chris Roberson got called up a couple days back so Scranton has nothing for top prospects or even prospects for that matter. I will be concentrating on getting Pawsox this game.
The Report: Yet another game I go to that gets rained out, which isnt a bad thing because guys still sign and I get tickets to another game! Scranton was very accomendating even in the bad weather. I was able to get a few Pawsox including David Riske, which was great. All in all, under the circumstances (weather) it was a great outing.
What I got: Total Sigs = 49
Pawsox
- David Riske-4/4-signed three, didn't think he saw the fourth one so I asked him to sign it and he said, "Oops, my bad, didn't see it," then signed it, nice guy
- Corky Miller-1/2-don't understand why he couldn't have signed the other
- Hee Seop Choi-1/2-same as Miller, shut the rest of the guys down after signing for me
- Abe Alvarez-6/6-talked to him about his Clippers as he signed away
- Mike Bumatay-1/1-stopped to sign right as he was getting in his car
- Craig Breslow-3/3-nice enough guy
- Adam Stern-5/7-signed five, then claimed my sharpie was dying and stopped, which it was
- Jim Buckley-3/3-good guy as usual
- Jimmy Serrano-2/2-cool guy, signed everything and anything for anyone
- Alejandro Machado-1/1-one of the nicest guys there is out there

- Peter Bergeron-5/9-didn't sign any duplicates
- Juan Sosa-9/9-signed them all willingly with a smile, offered him some, but he declined

Goals: Obviously I would like to get Delmon Young and B.J. Upton, but I am doubting that they are going to sign. I would like to get Lester, Pedroia, Stern for Pawtucket. I hope to get Switzer, Seddon and Dukes for Durham.
The Report: Well, there I was with two balls in my hand, one from Jason Childers, the other from Hee-Seop, which I ended giving away to a little boy celebrating his birthday. I ended up getting the other signed by Elijah Dukes, who hit two homers in the game. So, I am sitting there with Jay and my girlfriend, watching Delmon Young for the very first time. Strike Three!!! He watched an awesome pitch from Lester hit the mit and he started jawing to the ump. He got ejected immeadiatley. Young started walking back to the dugout like he was just going to take the ejection. All of a sudden, he spun around and threw the bat at the ump, striking him in the chest. He ended up leaving during the game, so I wasn't going to get him. Below is the list of guys I did end up getting. I will post scans later tonight.
What I got: Total Sigs = 25

- Elijah Dukes, Elijah Dukes Ball-2/2-signed a International League ball on the SS and a ticket after the game
- Chris Seddon-9/9-actually a really nice guy, thanks Chris

The Report: Well, the Pawsox finally one a game I went to. Thats the good news. Adam Stern was sent down the night before and I was able to get him on his way out. I got a good amount of different guys. I ended up with 45 sigs total which is decent considering I didn't get anything before the game.
What I got: Total Sigs = 45

Goals: Well in this one, I don't know what to expect. This is my first ever Double A game that I am attending. I have a bunch of cards of guys on the Thunder. I will try and get guys from each side even though the gates only open an hour before game time.
The Report: The field was great to get autos at. I got three Eastern League balls as me and one of the regulars from Pawtucket snuck in. After about 30 minutes of getting sigs and having a nice conversation with Gabe Lopez, we were ushered out. I told the guy it was my first time at the field and didn't know the gates opened only an hour before the game. He was nice about it and joked around as he threw us out. It was worth the trouble. My only shut down of the night came from Brent J. Cox. Boy does he think he is the next Nolan Ryan. I had him one on one and he gave me a stern, NO. I sarcastically told him thank you and continued talking to Gabe Lopez. He was an awesome guy to talk with. Lopez spoke about the index cards and how players are worried about their identity being taken by signing on the blank white. Pretty cool to not have to lean over and hang something down like Pawtucket.
What I got: Total Sigs = 37
Defenders
- Jesse Floyd-3/3-starting pitcher, yet still signed a CIC and a couple cards
- Matt Palmer-1/1-signed a CIC before walking into the clubhouse

- Garrett Broshuis-1/1-signed a CIC while charting pitches
- Pat Misch-1/1-see above...nice guy
- Brian Munhall-1/1-signed after BP...not a bad guy
- Justin Knoedler-1/1-signed a Norwich team set card before warming up
Thunder
- Rudy Guillen, Rudy Guillen Ball-2/2-signed a card and an Eastern League ball on the SS
- Shelly Duncan-1/2-asked him why he only signs one per and he said, "Keeps it fun and you coming back for more."
- J.T. Stotts-4/4-you would have thought this guy played 500 career games as a Yankee with his attitude
- Omir Santos-1/1-seemed pissed when I asked him to sign
- Charlie (Chuck) Manning-1/1-cool fella, told us Cox would come out and sign...not cool that he lied to us
- Bronson Sardinha-2/2-signed one for me and then I traded for the BDP card that I needed for my set
- Kevin Howard-3/3-seemed like a nice enough guy to me
- Jorge De Paula-2/2-signed a couple of CIC's for me
- Dave Eiland-1/1-signed a CIC for me, was only doing 2 per for those who had cards
- Justin Christian-1/1-I think this kid may have a future with some team, nice guy/player
- Jason Brown-1/1-signed one CIC, let him keep the other one for himself
- Ramiro Pena-2/2-didn't speak much English, but knew what can you please sign meant
- Sean White-3/3-I also think this kid has a future in the bigs, very nice kid, got him while he was charting behind the screen during the game
- Gabe Lopez-1/1-as stated above, had some nice convo going with him
Other
- Glenn Barker-1/1-signed my ticket stub in between listening to his IPod, talking on his cell phone, charting pitches and clocking pitches, now thats impressive

The Report: I left in the 12th inning because Massachusetts laws say that any operator of a motor vehicle under 18 can not drive past midnight. The game ended up going to the 16th inning. The one auto I got was of Matt Ginter. He signed the card in the middle of an inning as he was in the stands charting.

Saturday, April 8th, 2006 @ 1:05pm
Goals: I am looking at Brad Eldred and Jon Lester to be my main targets this game. Both have great potential and will be called up before the All-Star break.
The Report: Well this one was ugly. It rained all yesterday, through the night, and into today and I thought the game was going to be postponed for sure. Suprisingly, they decided to play it though. Upon arriving at the park at 1, I ordered my hot dog and fries (pre-game ritual) and as I was giving the lady money, they called the game. The good thing about it was the player were still there. Another positive was the game got re-scheduled for tomorrow and they gave out free tickets to Wednesday's game. So I got three autograph chance for the price of one. Below is how I did, I ended up with a low number, but it's a good number considering the conditions and the fact that I wasn't able to chase down the players and have them sign because of the rain/hale.
What I got: Total Sigs=31
Indians:
- Rajai Davis-1/1-seemed like a nice guy, signed for anybody who asked
- Ray Sadler-1/1-also quite personable, signed an old Bowman for me
- Raul Gonzalez-4/5-man is he short, asked him if he would like to keep one and he did
- Ron Chiavacci-9/9-slow signer so I ended up missing out on Sean Burnett and Terry Adams, guess thats a negative of having so many cards, didn't want to keep any extras, signed the 2001 BDP card I need for my set
- Brad Eldred-2/2-signed his rookie card and a Topps Update, 6'6, 260 is no understatement
- Ronny Paulino-1/1-signed a CIC, you guys know what my CIC's look like, so I didn't scan him in
- Unknown-1/1-had somebody sign my binder, but I have no idea who it is
Pawsox:
- Jon Lester-3/3-signed a 4x6 photo and a couple of cards, nice guy, very mature
- Ron Calloway-1/9-strictly one per this year it looks like, had been good with multiples in the past
- Alejandro Machado-6/6-very nice guy, will sign anything, any time
- Enrique Wilson-1/1-signed my binder because I haven't been able to locate his cards yet
Other:
- Bob Tewksbury-1/7-only signed one because we were in the rain and he said he will get me next time because he doesn't want my stuff to get ruined, I actually believe him too, nice guy

March 3rd, 2006
My first baseball in person autographed will be obtained by, of all people, my mother. My mom works at an orthopedic office in Wareham. It is the clinic for all of the Wareham Gateman players during the summer months. Apparently it is also the office of the team President-General Manager. John Wylde will be making an appearance and I have given my mom my auto'ed team yearbook by the 2005 Wareham Gateman and a program for him to sign. It will be nice to feature him on the yearbook cover as I have the whole team already. Will look even better when the GM's sig is added. She will bring it home tonight (hopefully). I will add the scan tonight or tomorrow.
The Report:
This one is one that I will never forget. My mom had left the two items I was going to have him sign with the receptionist at the check in counter. So Mr. Wylde came in and she handed him the items. The story that I was told is he became so excited about the request, he pulled a pen out of his pocket and signed. So much for the sharpie I sent along. The auto on the media guide is in the bottom left. It is small, but sticks out because it is in pen. He signed his profile in the team yearbook. Thats about all. God Bless

September 5th, 2005 @ 1:05
Goals: Well September is here and you know what that means...everybody I want is in the bigs. I am hoping Gavin Floyd will still be around as well as a few of the other young pitchers. Maybe I will have a Cole Hamels sighting. Should be fun.
Story of the Game: Cole Hamels was not there along with Floyd who was called up and pitched on the 4th. I concentrated on Pawsox as this was my last shot at getting them. Justin Sherrod went around throwing hats into the stands before the game. I went up to the rail and got one. Under the bill it says 20 (which was Youkilis number). It is crossed out and underneath that is a 7 (which is Dustin Pedroia's number). I was jumping for joy and so happy when I got the hat. The hat itself is in rough shape. Not only does it smell AWFUL it has been cut and shows true wear. That was a warm up though for what was to come later. After the game my buddy got a hat thrown to him by Carlos Leon. It says "Leon 2," inside that hat. The wierd thing is that it is not fitted and he was wearing it ON THE FIELD. Buzz Hannanhan threw me one of his batting gloves before the game started. It was awesome besides the fact his name is Buzz. As you may have read, my boy, Abe Alvarez, promised me his hat. Well, I am happy...wait a second...extactic to tell you he keeps his promises. As I went up to him I saw a few guys walking away with hats so I asked them if the hats they had were Abe's. Sure enough they were, so I was down that maybe he had given the last he had away. I went up to him, not seeing anything around, and asked him if he had anything left. He chuckled and said, "I promised you right man?" I said yes and he pulled a Pawsox hat from underneath his arm. At that point I was ready to jump for joy, but I kept my composure. I asked him to sign it as well as personalize it to me. By far my best in person experience I have had this season as well as my life. I will never forget how generous Abe was to me all season. He was not only great to me however. If anybody wanted anything signed, he would stop, sign, talk, and lastly most shockingly thank you! I admire him and wish him all the best. Signs say that he will return to Pawtucket next season. But, then again, you never know. One thing I know though, I will be waiting for him!!!!!!!!!! THANKS ABE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goals: I hope to get Nick Long, Clint Everts, Jose Contreras (the fake one) and Dee Brown from Vermont. I hope to get Willy Mota, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jed Lowrie and some other guys I need to finish my set.
Story of the game: I am loving these games at Lowell especially because of the ticket prices ($3.50). After the game I waited for about 30 minutes and accumulated a bunch of autos. Ellsbury came out shortly after the game and was greeted by his dad, his identical twin bro, and fans. I handed him my two balls first after my girlfriend handed him one. I asked him to personalize it and he did so. After he handed them back I gave him a newspaper he was on the front of. He asked me where I got it because he liked it. I told him over the stall in the 3rd base side bathroom. Everybody laughed as he signed it and gave it back to me. Ellsbury is the Sox future center fielder. I can't wait to see him making some of those diving catches at Fenway!

Story of the game: Abe told me I could have his hat if I ask him on Monday!!!!! I am pumped...CANNOT WAIT. John-Ford Griffin stopped and signed to my suprise. The only guy I asked to sign that did not was Shaun Marcum. He looked over and saw Zach Jackson signing for me so apparently that meant I did not want him anymore...whatever pal.

Goals: I hope to get a few guys on the Grays such as Charles Peterson and Joe Jiannetti as well as players on the Rox like Shad Williams and Kevin Beavers.
Story of the Game: Nothing to special. Went down to the stadium after hearing the ending on the radio. Oil Can must have been gone by then. Jiannetti was really cool although he did ask me to hold his porno mags as he signed my seven cards. I ran home and washed my hands. Charles Peterson was preety funny. I watched him as he threw on his bags onto the bus (last game of the series). He was very methotical and moving quite slow. When he turned around and I asked him for his sig everything was so much faster. "Oh boy bro, I am busy here (as he signed very slowly)." Charles: you will always be remembered as one cool cat. I had a quadrupule card of him. He is next to Richard Hidalgo...it is a tough fit, but there was no need whatsoever to sign over Hidalgo's face. I guess jealousy just sets it.
Brocton
- Shad Williams-5/5...pitching coach turned to pitcher...was actually in Angels in the Outfield
- Joey Baker-1/1...he is not with the team anymore, but I kept on seeing him walk out...so I brought my card and got him to sign it
- Kevin Beavers-2/2...actually was explaining to one of his old teammates where the photo was taken...intresting to know
- Wayne Ough-2/2...pronouced O...I got these signed before I got Beavers who was on the same page...when I handed the board to Beavers he saw the Ough cards and started laughing...a bunch of guys came over and Beavers shouts, "Ough wasn't lying, he actually played in the Mets system!" It was one of those things that you had to be there to get it, but it was a good laugh

Goals: I hope to get all the 2005 draft picks that will be there. My main guys that I am going for include Jed Lowrie, Wily Mota and Luis Soto. I hear the park is a walk in the park as far as autos go. First time going there. I will leave a lasting impression...and thats a promise.
Story of the game: Awesome game. First time going to the stadium and my first impression was a good one. Jay and I had a lot of fun at this one. As for autographs. Jed Lowrie was awesome. I gave his dad a bunch of his cards and Jed said he would signed the rest for me. What a cool guy! Jay and I ran after Willy Mota and Luis Soto. They laughed at us when we got to them, but were great guys. We used some Spanish with them. Overall an awesome night.

Goals: Well today will be fanfest, which is where I will have my best shot of hitting 100 siggies. I have for the most part restocked my collection with help from a few trading partners. I should be able to do it with ease if I am in the right places at the right times. Youk is back down. Bellhorn is expected to be moved on Saturday as his 20-day rehab is over. I hope to catch up with Papelbon, Pedroia and as always Abe. I am also meeting a very special person there after the game: STAY TUNED. I plan to have the site updated by Sunday night. Goals: My goal for this one is to finish off all of my Marcos Castillo cards. I am going to offer him a bunch...will see what happens. Marty Janzen was claimed off waivers by New Jersey so Castillo is the only guy I have cards of now.
Story of the Game: Janzen came out as I pulled up to the stadium minutes after the game ended. I was pissed because I left my card at home because he got picked up by New Jersey. He sat outside of the bus talking to me about baseball and looking at my cards. He told me he was the key pitcher in the David Cone deal years back. He also added that he thinks he got waved by Quebec because he messed up him knee the last time out and Quebec has no medical staff, so the rehabilitation process would have been rough. I felt bad for him at first because he was talking about him two arm surgeries and such, but when you pull a pack of smokes out of your pocket, my sympathy dies down. He smoked for a while and then made his way back into the clubhouse. I waited for Castillo to come out for about an hour. I knew going into it that it would be a while because I heard that he started the game on the way over on the radio. He came out, very quiet, and asked me to hold his walkman while he took my clipboard and sharpie and signed the twelve cards on that side. Card one to card twelve: the sigs are identical. Oil Can was out in full effect today. A couple of collectors I have seen in Pawtucket were there, niether that I liked. The one guy must have gotten 20 8x10 photos signed by Can. I am standing there waiting with my six cards. His hand was probably dead by the time he finished the 8x10s because he signed 4/6 for me. Could have gotten many more sigs, but was mainly aiming to get my cards signed. The whole Quebec team signed for some girl, which would have been a walk in the park for me, as I am sure you guessed.
What I got: Total Sigs=20

Goals: My goal for this one is to run down to the field and get Joe Jiannetti really quick. Maybe I will pick up a few others in the process. Should be an easy task.
Story of the game: Game was canceled because of major thunderstorms. It stopped raining right after the game was officially canceled so I figuered what the heck and I went down the the stadium. I was afraid the bus would be there or be gone by the time I got there. But, as it turned out I got Jiannetti. I walked up to the stadium and saw a bunch of guys with there bags next to them. I did not see Jiannetti however. As I was about to sit down I looked up and he was walking out with a banana. He signed my two cards and I told him he was the only reason I came to the stadium today. He laughed. As I walked back I saw two guys that I remembered from the series earlier this year and I flipped to their custom index cards really quick and they signed them. Probably could have stayed and got fourty, but I decided to do a quick sweep I guess and ended with four. The four autographs took me a total of 15 minutes to accumulate, which includes the time to and from my house.

- Dustin Pedroia-1/9...very strange...two guys were asking me who was that for every guy that came out...when Pedroia came out they ran up to him and told him that he missed a signing they were suppose to do last month...Pedroia went back into the clubhouse after telling Papelbon he would have to find another ride home...the two guys followed Pedroia back into the clubhouse with 6 or 7 boxes and 2 or 3 bats...the plates on the car were from NH...I looked Pedroia up on eBay this morning and found an auction for a Pedroia signed major league baseball...they have a picture on the auction of a dozen signed balls...the auction is being held from NH...and I wonder why he only signs one these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goals: I am hoping to get guys such as Mark Bellhorn, Dave Berg, Kevin Youkilis, Dustin Pedroia, John-Ford Griffin and Gabe Gross amoung others. I will just be heading down for after the game. It is an early start.
Story of the Game: Arrived at the stadium at about 2:30 hoping the game would have just ended. It was in the ninth and one of the guys who was standing outside the whole game said Bellhorn left in the 5th inning after he was taken out. I heard he did sign for the two people that were out there however. I got everyone under my goal column except for John-Ford Griffin and Pedroia. I thought the Pawsox would be traveling after the game, but apparently the were leaving that night after a dinner cruise. The heat was intense, but I did fairly well. I preped all my stuff before leaving, but the heat still got to some of the sigs.

As he wrote each inscription on the photo, he gave an explaination of each...Mr. Harper, I would like to thank you for making my day...some would be mad that they were confused for another guy, but not you...you are a true class act and I thank you from the bottom of my heart...I will remember this day and this item for the rest of my life

Monday, July 25, 2005---12:05
Goals: Early start for this one. I will be there after the game in hopes of getting Gabe Kapler, Kevin Youkilis and John Maine.
Story of the Game: What an incredible day for sigs. Not only was the weather perfect so the sigs weren't bubbling up I got my team set 90% complete. I need three more guys, two of which are not with the team, but luckily still with the organization. I got some of the toughest guys today because everybody had to come out of the main exit because it was a travel day for both squads. When I asked John Maine to sign he quickly replied with, "No, not now!" Well Jonathan...make your major league debut and I will accept that as an anwser. Others who snuffed me on Ottawa included Walter Refrigerator Jr. Young, Tim Raines Jr. (who by the way has played in Pawtucket longer then I have been attending, which is 7 years) and lastly Bernie Castro who said he would come back and sign. I did get Mike Moriarty, who did not keep any of my extra cards, Ed Rogers and John Stephens. My only snuff from the Pawsox was Dustin Pedroia. I must have been the only kid he did not sign for. O well...another day! Kapler did not exit the main gate as he was heading to Boston for a checkup with the Sox doctors. He will be rejoing the team in Buffalo on Wednesday. I hope to get him this weekend when they come home to face off with Sryacuse. As for what I did get:
What I got: Total Sigs=58
Pawsox
- Mark Malaska-1/1...signed a ticket
- Alejandro Machado-1/1...signed a ticket
- Mark Badaska-2/2...signed two set cards...his first name got cut off by the page the card was in when he signed
- Kevin Youkilis-1/2...signed one for everybody...did not dissapoint
- Lenny DiNardo-2/2...two team sets
- Justin Sherrod-4/4...all four team set cards...two of them are Portland Sea Dogs team photo cards
- Kelly Shoppach-1/2...one for everybody as usual
- Jeff Bailey-8/8...asked him if he would like to keep a couple, but he said no thanks...very quiet
- Mike Griffin-9/9...gave one away after to somebody who needed one of the cards I got two of...finally got him on some of the team set cards...very messy sig, but it counts!
- Ron Johnson-4/4...two Pawsox and two Sea Dogs team sets
- Mike Lockwood-2/9...said he would sign everything I had when the team came back home
- Cla Meridith-5/5...two team sets and three CICs

- Dave Berg-1/8...just asked him to sign the team set card I needed...I now have the complete 2005 Pawtucket Red Sox team
- Jon Papelbon-2/3...signed a 2003 Bowman Draft Pick Gold Signature Rookie and a 4x6 photo...did not sign the other photo
Ottawa
- Ed Rogers-1/1...signed a ticket
- Mike Moriarty-9/9...signed nine cards...did not care to keep any however
- John Stephens-4/4...signed four cards for me...nice mate!
- David Newhan-1/1...signed my binder

Goals: I am heading down after the game in hopes of getting a few guys I forgot the other night. The names include Omar Pena (brother of Carlos), Bob Ojeda, Rich Gedman and Andrew Brown.
Story of the Game: I got all the guys I wanted except Gedman. I meant to ask Eddie Gallagher (really nice coach) if Gedman travels with the team or was with them on this trip. I know he is easily identifiable because of his glasses. I also meant to ask Greg Montalabano if I sent him a card through the mail if he would return it signed, but he was on the phone and he seemed quite busy. I believe Brockton had a team meeting after the game so I did not stay and wait for them to come out. Here is what I did come out with however.
What I got: Total sigs:22
Brockton
Worcester
- Andrew Brown-2/2...signed two 1999 Bowman rooks
- Bob Ojeda-2/4...cmon Bob!! your killing me

Goals: I hope to get autos of Junior Guerrero and Derell McCall as well as getting some of my Rox team set finished.
Story of the Game: Well the game was a rough one. The Rox got trampled by the Tornadoes. Oil Can gave up 8 runs in a matter of three innings. As I am sure you may have guessed, he was not happy. He came out so fast after the game, I did not even see him by the time I moved my car around to the VIP parking. I did get the chance to meet Junior Guerrero however. One of the best guys I have meet this season. He ended up signed 26 cards for me. I got him to keep a few, but he was very reluctant to do so. I traded some away before he came out because I had forgotten my Rich Gedman and Bob Ojeda cards at home! Gedman was nowhere to be found. I mean nobody new where he was. Ojeda signed the one card I traded for and was doing two per for the others there. Click on the name if I got a card signed by them to see a picture!
Brockton
- Tony Stutz-9/9...after telling me he got his "tits lit up tonight," he signed all nine cards I had and kept the two custom index cards he asked me to make for him...funny character
- Ed Nottle-1/1...finally...as I told him, "I thought the day would never come!"
- Craig Lewis-1/1...CIC
Worcester
- Junior Guerrero-26/26...kept a few as asked...cool guy...shook his hand after talking with him about his future...tells me he is getting offers from Cincinati to play AA ball...will see what happens...good luck Junior!
- Bob Ojeda-1/1...signed the one I had before jumping onto the bus...rushy as you can tell by the sig
- Derell McCall-2/2...sweet sigs on the Topps Total and Bowman
- Greg Montalabano-1/1...CIC...hometown kid...my cards were actually with somebody else who does another league...kind of stinks I wasn't able to get him on the Lowell team set
- Chip Plante-1/1...CIC
- Andrew Brown-1/1...CIC...x Yank prospect...then again who isn't

CANAM LEAGUE VS. CENTRAL LEAGUE
Tuesday, July 19th, 2005---7:05
Goals: This is my first All-Star game, so I don't know what to expect. There are three guys I need from the Central League, who include Vince Faison, Tony Mota and Andy Torres. I will be looking to get these guys so I don't have to follow them around for 10 more years. The Can-am league roster is loaded with solid players, but nobody that I can't get during the regular season. The Can will be in it so I hope I can get him a couple more times. As always with the Indy Leagues...100 is never out of reach. Wish me luck!
Story of the Game: The only story surrounding this one was the fact that I went down to get a few autos AT 1:30 IN THE MORNING!!!!! I was yawning as I was handing the sharpie to the guys.
What I got: Total sigs=37
CanAm League
- Ricardo Cordova-1/1...signed a 2002 Bowman
- Oil Can Boyd-4/4...signed four cards on his way out...thanked him and he said "Its my pleasure bro"

- John Lindsey-1/1...CIC
- Jobu Morita-1/1...CIC signed is Japanese

- Randy Rapp-1/1...CIC...
- Goefrey Tomlinson-1/1...CIC
- Josh Brey-1/1...CIC
- Francisco Lebron-1/1...CIC
- Julien Tucker-1/1...CIC...maybe the easest guy to identify ever
Central League
- Joe Espada-2/2...two J2K cards...very nice guy

Goals: I hope to hit 100 for this game. I have all but a couple cards of guys on Louisville. I am going to be doing before and after the game. The main guys I am going for are Edwin Encarnacion and William Bergola, both top prospects. I am also shooting for Elzardo Ramirez and Kenny Kelly. Kelly has been one of those guys who I just have had the worst luck with and I hope it ends here. I hope to concentrate more on getting my team set done with (especially the uncut one, so I am not lugging it around anymore!).
Story of the Game: Today was an AWESOME day!!! Abe pitched today. My first time seeing him throw. It started out rough. He let up four runs in the first two innings and an older guy behind me thought he was the man and started chanting "FIX THE HAT...FIX THE HAT." I was very annoyed by him, but he shut up quickly after that. Kelly Shoppach brought the team back in the game with two bombs as well as contributions from Mike Lockwood and Manny Delcarmen. Delcarmen did not let any of his fans down (all 100 of them) when HE HIT 99MPH on the gun. It was amazing and the fastest I have ever seen anybody clocked at. He was adding inscriptions after the game. Kind of funny. Louisville did not let me down. Although Kenny Kelly and Randy Kiesler were not there, I did exceptional as far as sigs go. Youk got called up three hours before the game which was disappointing, but I am happy for him. Anastacio Martinez and Elizardo Ramirez were the only two guys to snuff me. No suprise on the first one:(. Click the name to see the pic of what I got.
What I got: Total sigs=65
Pawtucket
- DUSTIN PEDROIA!!!!!-1/7...incredible...made my day...can you say jersey card??
- Luis Figueroa-4/4...signed two cards and then two CICs...cool guy
- Alejandro Machado-3/3...stopped and signed for me on his way to his car...
- Jon Papelbon-1/2...only one to get him...asked him to sign for me real quick and he waited as everyone ran toward us...BOWMAN CHROME ROOKIE...can you say refractor??
- Kelly Shoppach-1/3...asked him to just sign the team set for me...he was very pollite to me tonight...actually saying something to me...thanks Kelly! can you say autograph!!
- Jack Cressend-4/4...two team sets and two uncut team sets
- Manny Delcarmen-2/2...signed for EVERYBODY...cant wait to see this hometown kid make his debut later this year
- Abe Alvarez-9/9...talked to Abe after the game about how after the second inning I thought I was his bad luck charm...great guy and treats you like a human unlike some others...the Donruss Studio card (top middle of the scan) is numbered 19/25 and the jersey is the top right is numbered 378/475...Abe was rocking so East Coast flavor with the Larry Bird throwback
- Lenny DiNardo-2/2...signed the covers of the uncut team sets...cool pic
- Mark Malaska-2/2...same as DiNardo
- Shawn Wooten-2/2...signed the inside of the uncut team sets
- Juan Perez-2/2...same as Wooten
- Chip Ambres-2/2...signed two CICs
Louisville
- Joe Valentin-1/1...signed one card...signed like 10 for the guy next to me...
- Steve Kelly-2/2...everybody was making fun of these cards saying he looked 50lbs overweight and wrecking on him because he was wearing grey pants with a white striped jersey...it got to the point where Kelly came up, signed the cards, and shut the book
- William Bergolla-2/2...top prospect...nice sig...nice guy
- Edwin Encarnacion-2/2...top prospect...crap shoot sig...but glad he took time to sign
- A.J. Zapp-1/1...kind of suprised he signed...got this one before the game
- Andy Van Hekken-4/4...didn't even ask him to sign...he must have been checking my binder out and signed (remember the set-up at Pawtucket...you have to put ur binder down with a string)
- Austin Kearns-1/9...signed the worst card I had, but I guess thats the risk of putting nine down...did one per
- Chris Denorfia-1/1...very willing signer...actually looked through my book twice
- Tom Shearn-1/1...was walking out to the pen when someone yelled his name out...sure enough he suprised everyone by turning around and signing
- Dane Sardinha-1/4...asked him to sign the team set...
- Pedro Swann-1/1...nice guy...kind of suprised me about how willing he was to sign...
- Santiago Perez-2/5...this is one of those players who is out there...decent guy...don't know why he couldn't sign all five, but I will live

Goals: I am not too big on college prospects so I don't really know who to shoot for. Jay and I are going to try and get as many sigs as possible. I will only be reporting what I got.
Story of the game: Nothing really to talk about. The players were all great signers...as they should be. After the game they did not run in the locker room...they sat in the stands and ate. I got a yearbook signed by the Gateman players. I got every player except for two. My mother just told me two players got kicked off the team so I am not sure if those are the guys. My mothers boss is the team doctor for the team. My mom actually recognized some of the names as she had to make appointments and such for them. There were scouts all over the place. I wish I knew if any of them were x-players. Jay did very well. He needs three more to have the complete Gateman squad. We plan on returning in the coming weeks to Wareham to get some other teams. Fun game and I reccomend it if you want a cheap, quality ballgame and want to get sigs that others will be chasing in three years!
Wareham:
- 2005 Cape Cod League Yearbook signed by Austin Boggs (Texas A&M), Bobby Bramhall (Rice), Joel Collins (South Alabama), Jordan Dodson (Rice), Edward Easley (Mississippi St.), Chase Fontaine (Baytona Beach CC), Carson Kainer (Texas), Jeff Mandel (Baylor), Micha McCallister (Alabama), Dan Milano (Northeastern), Whit Robbins (Georgia Tech), Kevin Russo (Baylor), Lance Salsgiver (Harvard), Lance Zawadzki (San Diego St.), Daniel Bard (North Carolina), Josh Copeland (Rice), Brad Furnish (Texas Christian), Shawn Haviland (Harvard), John Lalor (Mississippi St.), Wade LeBlanc (Alabama) and lastly Justin Masterson (Bethel College). I also added sigs from coaches Robin Harris and John Brickley. In addition to those beautys I got the equipment manager, who was wearing a uniform I may add, Matt Welford.
Bourne:
- Bunky Kaeton-2/2, CICs...sharp infielder for Mississippi State...the first and probably last Bunky auto in my collection
- Ty Wright-2/2, CICs...no relation to David although he had a solid game...outfielder for Oklahoma State
- Andy Goff-2/2, CICs...loved the custom index cards with his college and Bourne logo on it...2B/SS from Wake Forest
- Greg Reynolds-2/2, CICs...meant to ask this guy if he played with Jed Lowrie (90% sure they did) at Stanford...Lowrie was the 1st round (Supplemental) pick of my Boston Red Sox...I hope to see Lowrie in Lowell early in August and early in September

Goals: My goals for this one is to get Alex Herrera to sign some of my cards and to get a couple more Oil Can cards signed.
Story of the game: Since I only went down after the game there is literally no story of the game. I was suprised by this though: Oil Can shut me down! :( As I arrived he was walking out shaking peoples hands. By the was this was after his All-Star selection and after he had gotten shelled for seven runs. I was hesitant to ask, but I rarely don't ask in fear of being shut down. Well, he flat out said NO, I AM IN A RUSH. So as I was walking away his wife came running up to me say "Come here...he never refuses a kid...follow me." She turned him around and he preceded to sign two cards for me. It was totally uneccasary, but it was a nice gesture by his wife. I told him a was sorry for bothering him and congrats on the All-Star selection. He said, "Thanks man," and as I was about to walk away his wife said she was sorry and he is just mad about his performance today. Can ended up signing for a couple others. He is a great guy to the fans I THINK I caught him at a bad time however. Besides that, the night was great. I got Herrera...ohhh boy did I get him for sure. All FOURTY-EIGHT cards. I was basically begging him to keep some. The guy was the man and I had the funniest, longest convo going I don't think he realized how many he was signing. I traded a bunch away before he came out and gave a few to a couple of kids afterwards. I was happy to finally get him as he was released by Richmond days before the Pawtucket series. I usually have the worst luck with foreign players when I have a bunch of them, but this was the total opposite. As you will see in the scan, he did not take long to sign them...hahaha, but...I give him credit for not socking me in the face for having that many of him. The rest of the North Shore squad was great, although I missed a few for obvious reasons. Some guys stopped phone conversations to sign others just loved the custom index cards. The All-Star game is next week so I am prepping my stuff for that. I have a few things I need from guys in the Central League. It should be fun. Thanks for stopping by.

Goals: Well Schilling is throwing out of the pen. It will be a minor miracle if I get him to sign after the game. I hope to get John Maine for Ottawa as well as John Stephens. Jay will be going with me to this one. I will not be posting what he got however. Wish us luck.
Story of the Game: They lose again...I swear I am a jinx. I saw Schilling get escorted out by the police from Gate A. Nobody ever comes out of there so it was preety stupid. I was mad about that, but that was one of the only things that made me mad about this outing in Pawtucket. The only guys who didn't sign were Walter Young and Midre Cummings. I only did after the game as I showed up before first pitch. Papelbon started out a little rough, but had a very strong performance. I was pumped to meet him after the game. He was my mojo for this one. I did get Stephens on both team sets I needed. Maine snuffed everybody after this one. I missed Pedroia so he will be one of my goals for next game. As you can see below I did VERY well and hope to continue on the 16th versus Louisville. Jay got about 40 sigs total. It seemed as if he had a lot of fun. He traded a lot of his stuff away to cut down his load.
What I got: Total Sigs=70
Pawtucket
- Jon Papelbon-3/5...said he would sign one of each...even though they were all different...I am still pumped I got to meet the BoSox future ACE...
- Abe Alvarez-10/10...signed all my cards and and then signed 2 uncut sheets...guy is my hero...talked to him about going back home to play at the All-Star game...BoSox future duece...if there is such thing
- Chris Narveson-3/9...looks like he only does 3 each sighting...thats good enough for me though...
- Chip Ambres-7/8...gave him one of the team set cards...cool guy
- Shawn Wooten-8/8...FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!...told some kid he would be back...I thought I wouldn't see him again...then I felt the ground rumbling and there he was in his truck signing for anybody...only need Dave Berg to complete the team
- Mark Malaska-2/2...as always A++++...I got these for manny24
- Tim Bausher-2/2...one smudged...if you can catch him he is great...but he is very sneaky
- Juan Perez-2/2...you could tell he was mad about his performance, but he still signed
Ottawa
- Ramon Nivar-5/6...gave him one to keep...decent guy...signed for a lot of people
- Keith Reed-6/7...opened to his page and he told me he had seen on of my cards only once before...he did not sign it so I assumed he wanted it...sure enough I gave it to him after he signed the rest...I got home...put my binder down and found four more cards of him...arrrrrggg
- Ocatvio Martinez-3/3...signed one on the back because apparently it's not him even though it looks like him...hmmmm
- Bernie Castro-2/6...asked if he would like to keep one, he said nop and signed two
- Eddy Rodriguez-1/1...small sig...but it counts
- Eddie Rogers-10/10...VERY SUPRISED about this guy...wasn't expecting him to even sign at all
- John Stepens-2/6...just asked him to sign the two I need because he seemed as if he was in a rush

Goals: I am just going to head down to the ballpark after the game to pick up some Oil Can Boyd autos and some others I need for the team set.
Story of the Game: One more sig then the other day. It was very hot today and I didn't expect the players to stop and sign in the heat like they did. I got some more Grays as they were exiting the stadium. I also got a bunch for the team set as well as more Oil Can sigs. He pitched today so I was skeptical about going down and attepting to get him. Sure enough, he stood in the 90 degree heat for 15 minutes signing for everyone and anybody. After he was done he was hanging around the locker room area talking to some fans. Another great day at Brockton. Only need two more guys to get the complete Grays squad.

Goals: Tonight is team set night at the park. My family is attending the game so I should be getting three of them. I hope to stay after the game and start in on them.
Story of the Game: Nothing too special about this one. The Grays were a preety crummy team, but I am sure it is tough not having a home field. I ended up getting a bunch of sigs and a bunch of laughs with some of the players. The team sets turned out to be really nice cards...thing is you didn't get the whole set. They shorted you like five guys and you had to trade with people and try and complet your set. The last thing I am going to do in Brockton if interact with other fans. Probably the stupidest idea I have ever heard. I would rather have gotten hit by an 18-wheeler then shot or stabbed for Keith Furgeson.
What I got: Total sigs=53

Goals: My goals for this one, are to get Marcos Castillo, who was recently released by the Rox and picked up by the other team, Buck McNabb, Saul Bustos and of corse, Oil Can Boyd. I am only going to wait outside the locker room after the game. I will not be going inside.
Story after the game: I have a knew record for sigs in one night at an independant league game. I got 53 sigs tonight in a period of 30 minutes. I got everybody on the other team EXCEPT Todd Leathers. Damn you Todd. I never saw him come out, although I know he was there. Hopefully I will be able to get him when the team shows up later in the season. I finally got Boyd. One of my buddies was there from Pawtucket, so he got me a couple more. Boyd signed 4/4 for me and 2/2 for him. I ended up getting Castillo on the Topps Traded cards. He asked me how many I had right off the bat. I started to chuckle and then said 41. He ended up signing 12, which was more then enough for me. I bought a lot of him off eBay, because I thought he was going to be with the Rox. I am glad I got him at least once. All in all this night was an A+. Even though the names aren't big, it feels good to have a shut down free night at the park! It was certainly very fun especailly seeing the players faces when they saw somebody took time to make Customized Index Cards for them.
What I got: Total sigs=53

Goals: I hope to get there early and get some of the Durham guys such as Upton, Gathright, Phelps, McClung and Seddon. It is team set night at the park, so I will pick one of those baby's up and hopefully start in on it. Jay will be there with me today so 100 sigs is an honest possiblity.
Story of the Game: The story of this one was the COMBINED NINE SIGS that Jay and I got. Phelps, Upton and Gathright all shut up down numerous times to my displeasure. Gathright made two errors, balls that went right through his legs, and one of my buddies told me I should have asked him to sign my leg instead of my cards. I was considering deleting this and telling you guys we didn't go to the game considering how badly we did. I guess some days are like that though! Keep in mind though, we only did before the game.
What we got: Total sigs=9, nine, NINE, nueve, NUEVE
Pawsox
Bulls
- Jeff Dearforff-4/4, nice guy...nice sig...thanks Jeff
- Fernando Cortez-3/6, is there a reason why you couldn't sign the others??? it's not like you had to play...come on man...guess I have to follow him from team to team for the next 10 years now...this just sums up how this day went!!!
- Seth McClung-2/2, nicest guy on the team and I am pumped that he got called up...

Sunday June 19, 2005---1:05
Goals: I hope to get David Parrish, Sean Henn and Mitch Jones most of all. I also need a few guys for Staten Island and Norwich team sets. I don't have much for Columbus so don't expect a big number today. I did restock on some Pawsox including guys like Mike Lockwood, Chris Narveson and Cla Meredith.
Story of the game: They tried to blow another lead for me again. Johnson brought in Malaska after removing the fatigue Dinardo with three hits. All went downhill from there. Malaska, with a little help for Anasactio Martinez, let up six runs in the top of the seventh. I bowed my head in shame as I thought it was happening again. Petagine ended up poking a homer and they gathered a couple more runs to slip away with a W. Malaska had a rough day and he was tossing stuff in the dugout, so after the game, instead of asking him for my 40th autograph of him, I decided to shake his hand and say 'Get em tomorrow Mark.' He said will do my best and went on with his life. I suggest that more collectors do this instead of bombarding a guy and turning around and selling his auto. I did this most of all because I felt bad for Mark, but also because of a recent post on Sports Collectors that angered me. I can't understand why anyone in the right mind would bitch a player out for not signing. Everybody has a rough day and maybe they don't sign for a certain reason. For somebody to yell at them on top of it is irritating to me. People like this are reasons why players don't sign as much as they used to. So, even though Mark was signing as usual, I let him go home and not add more stress to his life. I ask that more people take this approch even though I understand my request won't be granted by many.
Onto the signers and non-signers. The regular signers signed, the regular non-signers didn't for the home team. No suprises today honestly. I did not get any of my main guys I wanted although I did well and got some much needed team set cards out of the way. Sean Henn was called up to pitch against the Devil Rays tomorrow. Bummer!
What I got-Total sigs=34
Pawsox
- CLA MEREDITH-6/6, finally get this kid!!! FUTURE closer of a very lucky team...awesome guy...asked if he would like to keep one and he told me he had over 400 of them at home so I responded with, "So I take that as a no"
- Chris Narveson-3/5, was distracted by an employee yelling to him so he looked up and dropped the marker
- Adam Stern-1/1, had NO idea he was going to be there so I had nothing of him, signed an old ticket
- Abe Alvarez-6/6, signed my jersey card...this guy is the MAN...by far one of my favorite people in the world...and yes, I am obsessed with him...Abe stopped and talked to me about other cards in my book as well as taking pictures with others...what a guy
- Chip Ambres-1/1, I want this card from Jay as the sig is amazing!!!
- Alejandro Machado-1/1, crowd favorite, never lets them down either
- Jack Cressend-2/2, still have not found my cards of him, but got two of Jay's out of the way
Clippers
- Deivi Mendez-3/3, spoke incredible English for being Dominican, then again he has been playing pro ball in America since he was 16!!!!! I could only dream...if I was playing pro ball right know...hold on...I just snapped out of my dream
- Stump Merrill-1/1, nice guy, needed him for my Norwich set (when they used to be with the Yankees system)
- Sam Marsonek-3/3, signed both cards and a CIC
- Colin Porter-1/1, CIC,
- Andy Phillips-1/1, CIC, wish I had other stuff of him, but already got him once so this was good enough
- Jorge DePaula-1/1, CIC, top pitching prospect for the Yanks, not like thats saying much though
- Jason Anderson-1/1, CIC, signed for all the little kids, then the bigger kids
- Andy Cannizaro-2/2, CIC and card, guy is getting on the bus, I ask him to sign, he stops, looks through the window and gets off the bus even though there were people waiting to get on behind him...mad props Andy
- Felix Escalona-1/1, signed the card I had, signed 5/5 for the kid in front of me

Goals: I am only going to go for a couple guys, which is why I am not going to the game. I plan to wait outside the locker room and get Derrick Gibson and Keto Anderson. Wish me luck!
Story of my efforts: I got there and the game wasn't over so I chilled in the parking lot for 15 minutes. I saw the bus pull around so I figured I would go talk to the bus driver and make sure I was waiting on the correct bus. Sure enough it was and I sparked up a convo with the bus driver about Gibson. He told me he is usually the first one out and a great signer. Gibson was last out and signed 4/11. I got Anderson a short time after. One thing I did not realize is every Sunday afternoon the Rox have a signing session after the game. Literally the whole team was there, including the Can. I waited in line for a couple minutes, but once I realized I hadn't moved an inch I headed back to the bus. I ended up getting the whole New Haven County Cutters team. Every player was great and signed for the nearly five people, as they should. The guys without pictures below are the guys I got on index cards.
What I got: Total Sigs=29
New Haven Cutters
- Syketo (Keto) Anderson-3/3, nice guy...nice name
- Derrick Gibson-4/11, was very slouchy and just did not seem as if he was in the signing mood
- Jordy Anderson-1/1, CIC
- Ryan Bonesio-1/1, CIC
- Willy Espinal-1/1, CIC
- Courtney Hall-1/1, CIC
- Tim Keinath-1/1, CIC
- Sean Kramer-1/1, CIC
- Nick Rowland-1/1, CIC
- Jarrett Stawarz-1/1, CIC
- Rolando Valles-1/1, CIC
- Andy Weimer-1/1, CIC
- Nick Hiter-1/1, CIC
- Andy Larned-1/1, CIC
- Jeff Brooks-1/1, CIC
- Vinny Esposito-1/1, CIC
- Keith Stegbauer-1/1, CIC
- Chas Terni-1/1, CIC
- Darren Ciraco-1/1, CIC
- Orlando Encarnacion-1/ 1, CIC
- Todd Elter-1/1, CIC
- Mike O'Keefe-1/1, had a bunch of cards I needed signed by him, but gave them to someone else to get for me, so I just asked him to sign a CIC

Goals: To arrive there early and get a bunch. My main targets are Mike Rosamond, Alex Herrara, Derrick Gibson, Zach Miner, Hector Almonte and obviously ANDY MARTE!!! Will see what happens with these guys. I heard from a couple of sources that the team is great so I will have to see for myself.
Story of the Game: Nothing really special about this one, except the fact the Pawsox finally won a game I attended. This win did not bring me my Andy Marte autograph, but it did bring a few others. Both Herrara and Gibson were released prior to the series, which was a bummer. I did end up getting a good amount however.
What I got: Total Sigs=30 (I believe)
Pawtucket
- Roberto Petagine-1/1, barely caught him...signed from inside his car
- Abe Alvarez-6/6, SUPRISE!!!!!
- Juan Perez-1/1, signed an unused ticket I found on the ground earlier this year
- Justin Sherrod-1/1, signed a ticket from earlier this year...he has an awesome side to him
- Luis Figueroa-2/2, signed two tickets again that were from earlier in the year...always good
- Cla Meridith-1/1, bought some cards of him so this ticket theme doesn't continue
- Chris Narveson-1/1, did the same for Narveson, he also signed a used ticket
- Denney Tomori-1/1, signed the ticket with his sig, "D////// .T"
Richmond
- Zach Miner-8/8, before the game signed for anyone who cared enough to ask him
- Hector Almonte-3/3, signed the team sets I needed, took forever
- Daniel Curtis-1/1, nice enough to stop and sign for me...preety cool
- Trey Hodges-1/9, asked him if he wanted one and he denied me...again
- Mike Rosamond-2/2, got him for the set i needed as well as the Bowman card before the game
- Jason Bourdeois-3/3, signed these baby's before the game
- Mike Alvarez-1/1, the pitching coach was nice enough to stop by and sign a few for people
- Andy Barkett-1/1, probably the dorkest player all year, next to Tomori

Goals: I hope to get my double card of David Wright and Craig Brazell signed by Brazell. I do not have too much for Norfolk so I am not going to expect a large total. I do not know what time I will arrive at the game as I have baseball beforehand.
Story of the Game: I ended up with a schorching 16 sigs. Norfolk was one of the worst signing teams I have ever delt with. I did end up getting the Brazell card signed, but not much else. Ron Calloway stopped and signed about 40 cards for the woman next to me, so I did not feel the least bit bad throwing six in his face. He signed the IL Top Prospect card I needed and said he would get to his mail "Eventually." I got my Alvarez's, like always. Besides that, a preety crummy day in terms of autos.
What I got: Total Sigs=16
Pawtucket
- Abe Alvarez-6/6, like always...great guy...certainly one of my favorite people to deal with
- Anastacio Martinez-1/2, like always...awful 'tude...certainly one of my least favorite people to deal with
- Lenny DiNardo-1/1, signed a ticket, all I had for him to sign
- Cla Meridith-1/1, my mojo for the day...was very rushy, but glad to meet him...I meant to mention to him that Richie Sexton grand slam off him ended up in my living room, but it must have slipped my mind
Norfolk
- Ron Calloway-6/6, didn't make me give him a card this year...woopieee...see above
- Craig Brazell-1/7, finished off this georgeous double card...thank you Craig

Saturday, May 28, 2005---5:05 and 8:05---MAKE-UP
Goals: I hope to get Marcos Castillo, Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd and Kevin Beavers for Brockton. For Elmira, I hope to catch , Clint Hosford, Greg Keagle, Allen Levrault and lastly Trey Beamon.
Story of the Game: Only got a few, but luckily Allen Levrault was one of them. He gladly signed all of Jay's and my stuff. He seemed preety cool and not the 'big mouth,' that people told me he is. My major shutdown came from Trey Beamon. I was holding his cards out and I am 90% sure he saw and just chose to keep running. I was not able to get Keagle, starting pitcher for the first game and manager. The team comes back later in the year and hopefully I will head down to the stadium and get those two in addition to Clint Hosford. I did see Oil Can signing a few for the fans, but since I was so far up the vistitors side, I figured it was too much of a risk. I will probably do Brockton next game, depending on who they are facing.
What I got: Total sigs=13
Elmira
- Allen Levrault-10/10, signed willingly for me and had a conversation about his pitching efforts the previous game
- Ronnie Deck-1/1, signed the beautiful index card that I made on his way to warming up the pitcher
- Shane Roberts-1/1, stopped with Cooper, below, and signed a CIC
- Chad Cooper-1/1, stopped with Roberts, above, and signed a CIC

Story of the game:
What I got: Total sigs=60
Pawtucket Red Sox
- Lenny Dinardo 1/1...I am sure you guessed I would get him....great guy
- Luis Figueroa 1/1...signed a ticket from earlier this year...chatted with him for a minute
- Alejandro Machado 1/1...still smiles when he sees me...kinda getting worried
- Anastacio Martinez 1/6...shocked he signed...VERY moody...reminds me of Shoppach...he either gives you the finger (no not that one) or runs to his car...first time all year I've gotten the finger from him
- Scott Cassidy 2/3...asked if he would like to keep one and he said he had enough and then didn't sign it...I don't understand him
- Abe Alvarez 6/6...told him to only sign the jersey card and he said, 'Only one man?' of corse I said you can sign as many as you want and told him to keep one if he wanted...he did not keep any and ended up signing all six...he is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite players in all of baseball...he has a strong upside and tremendous potential and I wish him the best with wherever life leads him, even if it is not with the Sox...
- Joe Buckley 1/1...signed the one index card for me...seems happy to be up to AAA again
Indianapolis Indians
- BRAD ELDRED!!! 1/1...signed before the game for me and had a quick chat with him...I may have been bad luck as he struck out 3 times...
- Jon Nunnally 8/8...four before the game, four after...I can officially say I have seen a chipmunk on steroids after meeting him...
- Justin Reid 2/2...signed two before the game for me...nice guy
- Nate McLouth 3/3...signed a bunch of items for me as you can see in the scan...this top prospect has a positive tude' and I wish him the best as well
- Cesar Crespo 1/3...wearing his World Series bling...was very rushy
- Ryan Doumit 3/3...thought he was going to run on the bus, but I was one of three people to get him...
- Chris Duffy 3/3...was with family, but did stop and sign for a few
- C.J. Nitkowski 6/6...it was field trip day for a bunch of schools...guy must have signed for 100 kids...he is now on the DL with writers cramp...more above
- Bryan Bullington 2/4...thanked him for signing his mail last year and wished him all the best
- Chris Enochs 4/4...signed for a handful of people...luckly I was one of them
- Brian Reith 6/6...asked him to keep a couple, but he didn't
- Mark Corey 2/2...signed before the game for me...nice guy as well
- Yurrendell De Caster 1/1...guy was pumped that he had a card...got Valendia (below) to sign his card next to it
- Jorge Valendia 1/1...came over and signed for me with De Caster's request

- Bobby Bradley 1/1...more on him above also...nice chat that you can read about up there

Goals: Nothing too major. I know a couple players on the Nashua squad so I hope to meet up and talk with them about life and how things are going this year.
Story of the Game: Meet up with one of my friends, Mike Torres, IF for the Pride. Right off the bat we were talking about why I was up that way and I told him to see him, hopefully get some sigs and to see some girls. At that point he offered me tickets and told me to take out my stuff. He took my book and scanned through and then handed it off to a player, who turned out to be Tomas de la Rosa. To my pleasure he signed every card except for one that was already signed by another player. I think he thought he had already signed it. He passed it on to Jose Mieses and he signed five for me and told me if I come back tomorrow he would sign some again. We shook hands and then I started talking to Mike again. Torres was my fall baseball coach last year and the bench coach was his girlfriend. He told me I would see her tonight and that was even more pleasurable. The one guy I should have asked for an auto was Mike...duhhhh, I brought old Brockton Rox tickets (he was on the team last year), just for him to sign. Had a bunch of other cards of the guys, but I have them sent out to somebody who sees the Atlantic League teams regularly and he was in a rush and didn't include everything. When I got inside, I figured I might as well go to the away side and see how I can do. There were two other collectors in the area that new what they were doing so it was great. I got most of the team on cards or index cards. The one guy I could not get of all people was Jose Ortiz. He told he 'Gots to go wam op,' or as we would say "I have to go warm up." Quincy Foster did give me his bat. I asked him and he said he didn't have any broke and then he turned around and said you can have this one. Great guy!!! Two bench clearing brawls were the story of the game. First game I have been to where there was a brawl. I was actually suppose to go to the game where Izzy "black belt'' Alcantara kirate kicked the catcher, but I had a game of my own. That would have been amazing to see.
What I got: Total sigs=33 give or take
Nashua Pride
- Tomas de la Rosa 7/8...missed one on accident
- Jose Mieses 5/9...seemed like a nice guy...shook my hand after he signed
Lancaster Barnstormers
- Brent Hoard 1/1...signed for everyone of people...
- Quincy Foster 1/1...positve tude' and gave me his bat
- Troy Mattes 1/1...signed a bunch for the guy next to me
- Juan Melo 2/2...couldn't find his other card...tooooo bad
- Ross Peeples 2/2...traded one before he came out so kinda got 3/3

Goals: I would like to get Gookie Dawkins and Sean Douglass. I do not have a lot of Toledo players at all so I should be able to key in on the guys I do need and get them. Wish me luck.
Story of the game: Just another ordinary game. Pawsox get crushed and do not reach 10 hits. I have not gone to a game all season that they won. Of corse they have only won 11 games so my chances are preety slim. I have a better chance of seeing the Tigers win then my Pawsox. Everybody I asked signed except for Gookie Dawkins and John Ennis (the two unique names of the team). Curtis Granderson was great to everyone. That is a great sign for one of baseballs top prospects. While he was on the on deck circle warming up, a little kid shouted out what is a Mud Hen while the rest of the crowd was dead silent. Granderson laughed all the way to the batters box. Guy loved it!! Positive things for him in the future. Got Douglass after the game. I told him he did an awesome job today and he kinda shrugged and said naahhhhh. Goes to show every compliment isn't always a compliment. He signed for a bunch of people and had a good attitude while doing so. Kenny Baugh got heckled by all of his teammates because of his pictures in some of his cards. They started yellin' hey big time, you remember that pic?? Baugh was great as well and was signing over ten for some people. He did not sign my index card though after the game. "I only do cards man, sorry." So does that mean he doesn't do balls?? Overall my total was low, but I got some cards for sets signed which is always a plus.
What I got: Total sigs=23
Pawsox
- Scott Cassidy 1/3---although he pitched great in relief he said "Awwww shit," after signing one for me because a crowd was about to mob him. He wasn't pleased to say the least.
- Roberto Petagine 1/1---one for everyone, just of the DL, preety cool old timer
- Lenny Dinardo 1/2---don't think he saw the other index card
- Abe Alvarez 1/1---on the ticket from above...always great to his fans
Mud Hens
- Chris Shelton 1/1---not the most happy signer, but did sign
- Kevin Hooper 1/1---most jumpy guy of the day
- Andrew Good 1/1---got this one before the game, did not sign after
- Kenny Baugh 4/4---more on him above
- Alexis Gomez 5/5---signed 12 cards for some guy after the game
- Sean Douglass 3/9---told him to only sign three because a ton of other people wanted him, signed up to 5 for another person
- Curtis Granderson 1/1---next big thing for the Tigers, you heard it here
- Jason Karnuth 1/1---signed before and after the game
- Byron Gettis 1/1---not a spring chicken either, but took some time to sign a few items

Goals: As always I will aim high for 100. I hope to get some of my team set cards signed as well as get sigs from Brent Abernathy, Trey Hodges, Jason Tyner among others. I would like to get some of my pawsox guys out of the way as well.
Story of the Game: Nothing to special about this one. I got there about 30 minutes before the game and ended up with 12 sigs. My book was being looked at the whole time by Luis Rodriguez and a few other members of the Red Wings. Abernathy was nice enough to sign four cards before the game, all of which were not mine. For the most part, the guys I asked to sign did so before the game. After the game had a few suprises. I got all the index cards signed after as well as 53 more cards. The negatives came from Dave Berg and Bud Smith. Berg SLOWLY strolled past us while taking on the phone and said "I'm in a rush," then sat in his car for a good five minutes. Smith totally blew everyone off. Check the scans below. Please note that I will be taking the scans down of the games underneath to save some bandwidth. I will leave the text though for a reference.
What I got: Total sigs=65
Pawsox
- Jason Kershner-1/1...signed one index card after he identified himself for me...Luis Figueroa accidently wrote on it as well
- Luis Figueroa-2/2...signed two index cards and signed half of Jason Kershner's IC
- Mark Malaska-1/2...don't think he saw the other IC even though he was rushy as you can see by his sig compared to the ones below
- Alejandro Machado-2/2...learned my lesson and did not ask him to personalize this time...smiled when he saw me...I bet he remembered
- Juan Perez-2/2...when I see him, he signs everything for everyone
- Tim Kester-2/2...had a SS Wade Miller ball in hand...I was the only one around and almost asked if he had two
- Justin Sherrod-2/2...signed and then we talked about his error and what happened while he sat in his car
- Denney Tomori-2/2...one of the ugliest sigs I have ever got IP..."Danny T"

Goals: Nothing special tonight...will aim high again for 100, but just want four players. Gavin Floyd, Marlon Byrd, Ryan Howard and Kevin Youkilis. If I get all four of these guys, I will come home with a smile.
Story of the Game: As was stated on the cover page of the site I got some big names instead of big numbers. Gavin Floyd only signs one. I asked him to sign the picture after he signed the card and he gave a stern NO. The same stern NO came from Armaury Telmaco after the game. I was suprised at how many of the foreign players signed compared to the nationally born guys. It is usually the other way around. You learn something everyday. Today my lesson was taught by Alejandro Machado. I asked Machado to personalize and the guy basically shit his pants. I mean he had no idea what in the world I asked him. So I told him what to write on it. He got to S and then I had to show him what and E looked like. If I knew it was going to take a good two minutes to sign two index cards I would not have even bothered. Good thing my name wasn't Humberto. He has been great to all the fans and it was my fault for asking him to personalize. I left after the first bus of Scranton guys went back to the hotel. I got most of the stuff I had for Scranton. The only guys I did not get that did not sign at all were Hinch and Telmaco. Victorino did not sign either although I did not have anything of him anyways.
What I got: Total sigs=34
PAWSOX

SCRANTON

- Ryan Howard-2/5...two at a time...glad to get him though
- Dan Giese-1/1...always good...no complaints

GOALS: Simply to have my stuff in my posession at all times (see last game if you don't know what I'm talking about). But, seriously I would like to get 100 sigs at this one. I understand 95% of the team signs so I am hoping that continues.
STORY OF THE GAME: Nothing real big like last game, except the pitching of Francisco Rosario. Get 'em while you can. Dinardo hit on girls my age, yet again. Both he and Alvarez signed before the game in the stands for me. They were doing some radar work. Kenny Perez came off the DL today. Nobody knew he was there so not many people had his stuff. Luckly I had my cards with me and he was happy to sign after telling me his name. Malaska was great, as always. Signed before and after the game for everyone. On another note, Jack Cressend offered to sign. He would not tell me his name and he said I want to look anyways. I was all alone so I had no help. I left his items at home and he said he would be happy to get me another day, this while holding his kid. Damn his wife is hot. Moving onto Syracuse, they were awesome. The only guys that I did not see sign one thing were Dwayne Murphy and John-Ford Griffin. They're were a few guys that I missed while chasing after some Pawsox. I should be able to get them next series or through some hook-ups. Brandon League signed two before hopping onto the bus. Preety cool I was one of them. Gabe Gross said he would send my mail back when he gets home and Jason Arnold said "I love reading and signing my mail, anytime man," when I said thanks for returning my stuff during the Arizona Fall League. He then signed two index cards. Then after the game when I asked him to sign one more, he said, "I don't do those." Crozier, Rosario, Burnside and Gaudin were among the guys to sign everything for everyone. Hill was okay. He signed three items each time. I asked him to sign an extra before the game, and he did so without a seconds lapse. Whiteside got called up so no chance at him. Overall, today was a success. I would say that 95% of Sryacuses' squad DOES sign.
WHAT I GOT: TOTAL 77 sigs

Goals: The one major guy I would like to get is Jeremy Guthrie. He is a strong pitching prospect, drafted #1 in 02. He shows tremendous upside and potential. I plan on getting there at 5 and staying after the game as well. I am taking cards of a few people and I hope to help them out. Wish me luck!!
Story of the Game: ALERT!!! READ THIS!!! BEWARE What you are about to read is sad, but true. For those of you who know the Pawtucket Red Sox set-up, you will get the story better then the others. I will include pics next game and give you a visual of what I am explaining. The dugouts are not underground. The first row is about 10 feet up, so to get sigs before the game you have to put your binder on a string and lower it down. About 15 minutes till game time the ushers come by and tell everyone to pull them up. The time came and I preceded to pull it up. But, wait a minute, there was somebody signing. So I leaned over the edge and saw Jeff Liefer signing, so I asked the usher to give me a sec till he finishes. He granted me my request and we both stood up there waiting for Leaf to finish. As he was about done, we see this black hand come out of nowhere and grab my string. Not knowing what to do I grabbed it, although it was latched around the bar with a clip. The string snapped and 'PHILL' had the other end of it. I saw the first five letters of the jersey walking down the dugout dragging my binder. Some were probably wondering why I have Andrew Brown as my savior below. Well, he came out and asked if that was mine. I said yes, he got it for me, and gave it back. If not for Mr. Brown, I would owe a lot of money to a lot of people. I ended up getting Phillips after the game. I wanted to TKO him right there, but being on probation already, I had to stay out of trouble. Know, I will take the more civil approach. I am going to write a letter to the Buffalo organization and the Cleveland organization, telling them, exactly what I just told you. I am ashamed that something like this could happen and it is a disgrace to all of professional sports. It shows how selfish even the most prosperous people can be.
