Where your business is in our hands.

The Second Stage

Hello, and may I welcome you for joining the second stage of our website. To get started I would like to quote Elanor Roosevelt, "The Future Belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." You are probably wondering what this quote means. Take a few minutes to think about it. You can even write it on a piece of paper if you want. Done Thinking? Good. This was only a warm up to get your body working. Don't you just love surprises? In any case, now that you are back on board let us continue.

The Unexpected

Based on the title you can probably guess that we will be talking about the surprises in a business, and boy are there many! First make a list of what you thinking what the definition of a surprise is. Done? If you created a good definition it should be somewhere along the lines of: "To encounter suddenly or unexpectedly; take or catch unaware." Once you have made the corrections on your original definition make a list of the surprises that you think you will find in a business. After you have finished review what you have written. You probably listed something about bankruptcy, partners not paying, debts, banks, loans, etc. Words such as these will kill the hell out of you unless you keep these conditions under control. I cannot specify enough that you have to be organized. YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO ORGANIZED. If someone tells you that you are stupid for being organized tell them to go take a hike. Anyway, now that we have covered that let us look at another condition that will help you expect the unexpected. Perhaps the greatest thing you can do is to stay happy. No matter what the situation YOU MUST STAY HAPPY! There is always a way out of the problem or ditch that you are stuck in. The third final thing to do is to keep your priorities straight. They are the key to succeeding as well! The more optimistic you are, the more you are likely to succeed in getting out of the problem. What have we learned today?

  • Keep organized
  • Stay happy
  • Priorities must be in line

These three things are guaranteed to keep the unexpected at an all time low, especially if you take the three concepts seriously.

Budget- 101

Your going to have a budget right? We sure hope you do! Everyone has a budget, and not just because they want it, because they need one. So what is your budget going to be like? Get a piece of paper define what you think budget is. Once you have done that you need to make a chart. This chart will have two colums. They will be sallary or amount made, amount that will be saved, and finally amount that will be spent. Once you have done this you need to start doing the calculations. First you will have to add the amount that will be saved, and amount that will be spent. Than subtract the final amount from your amount made. If you have some money left over, you are in good shape! Now, you might want to make a chart with even more catergories. Keep becoming even more specific and specific, and use the same strategy to do this. Once you cannot be any more specific and have more than 10 colums, your ready to move on.

Buying a business I

Most people buy businesses that already exsit. Most of them don't buy land and build there own business. So here at Business Express, we decided to guide you through buying or building a business. If you are building a business, obiviously you need to first brainstorm what you want your business to be. Once you have done this you will need to get a realestate agent. Trust me! You are going to need one. The second thing you do is plan out the finacial part of your business. You know, the taxes, expenses, bills, etc. Let me caution you though, if you are starting any type of business you will need to know if you have enough money! So many people have gone on to fast to far, and have found out that they don't have enough money to go farther. You can check if you have enough money by seeing what your expenses are, and what your salary is. Once you have done this you are ready to move on!

Buying a business II

Now since you have the painful financial part over with, you get to actually build your business. Now comes the fun part! Finding a spot where to build your business. As I said before you are going to need a realestate agent. This is where that comes in. With your agent you are going to need to find somewhere to build a business, but first make some critera for the spot. Make requriments that your area will have to need in order to suceed! You know, things like where a lot of people drive by, or an area where exsiting businesses have had sucess. Once you have found your special spot, you are now ready to buy the area. The first thing in buying the area is seeing if the spot is really worth it. Also if you have enough money to buy it. All I can really say is be realistic in buying something. Question it if you have to, see if its worth all the trouble.

Buying a business III

So now you are ready to start building your structure. Obviously you are not going to do it by yourself! You have to hire someone. Look for a private contractor, who gives you a good bargain for what you want to build. But remember, don't get a person who is unreliable and won't get the job done. Either that or you will be arguing all day with your contractor. Once you got someone to build your business, you need to show him the plans. This is the creative part. Show him what you want to build, and make sure you get it approved by the township of where your building it. Once you have your building permits, send that contractor to work! Don't just let him sit around all day! Before you know it, you will have your business standing right in front of you! You have accomplished the impossible, right? Well I would personally like to congradulate you! For learning a diffuclt journey!
