Now, for a little bit about me. I am an openly gay man currently living in Alabama. I have recently completed the first in a series of mystery novels featuring my openly gay private detective, Alexander DeVane.
I don't proclaim to be the next Sue Grafton, but I truly believe that my writing is a new voice just waiting to be heard. I want to present gay men in a positive light, rather than the homicidal homosexual of modern Hollywood film. I'm also in an active search for either a literary agent, or a publisher for my novels. So, anyone out there know an agent or publisher that would like a new client? 
In Alex's first story, we find him closing two working cases and looking forward to spending some time catching up on his reading (as well as other things he's put on hold while he's been working). Little does he know that the day after a date with a trainer at his gym, he'd be thrown into a web of deceit, lies and secrets that have been kept for over thirty years.

In the this installment in the series, Alex meets a new client while at his office late one night. Eddy Breckenridge wants to hire Alex to find out who, if anyone, is responsible for his son Jamie's death. Hesitant to take on the case, pointing out that, after all, it has been over a year since Jamie's death.
After speaking with a friend of Jamie's, Alex agrees to take on the case. In the course of his investigation, he discovers that Jamie had a secret life that his parents knew nothing about.
Is Jamie Breckenridge's secret life somehow linked to his death? Or did Jamie die of natural causes? To find out, Alex must venture deep into the dark underbelly of Rosewood night life.
The only question he has? Having ventured into the shadows of the night, can he find his way back to the light of day?
