9:55 Comedy Club - Richmond, Virginia - Located at the corner of Main and Stafford Streets in downtown Richmond, the Easy Street Bar and Grill offers free stand-up comedy every Monday night. The shows are organized by Ray Bullock.
Baltimore Comedy Factory - Baltimore, Maryland - Located right above Burke's Restaurant at the corner of Light and Lombard streets, the Baltimore Comedy Factory offers comedy shows two comedy shows on Thursday and Friday nights at 8:30pm and 10:30pm. There are three shows on Saturday night -- 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm.
The Comedy Dock - Edgewater, Maryland - Brand-spanking new comedy club located near Annapolis, Maryland's capital (for all of you geography buffs). One of my personal favorite clubs.
The Comedy Spot - Arlington, Virginia - Located in the Ballston Comons Mall on the third floor next to Radio Shack, the Comedy Spot features a variety of comedy-related events from sketch, improv and stand-up comedy.
Open Mic Venues
Five Seasons - Baltimore, Maryland - This Mount Vernon restaurant holds open mic shows every Tuesday evening at 9pm.
Freddie's Beach Bar - Arlington, Virginia - Every Monday night, come down to Freddie's for half-priced burger night and free comedy, starting at 8:30pm.
Gopher Hole - Towson, Maryland - The Gopher Hole is nestled on the ground floor of the Pearlstone Student Center of Goucher College. Open mic performances take place every Wednesday during the Fall and Spring semester (for students only) and on Friday and Saturday nights, entertainment of any kind is presented to the Goucher community. (Note: This is where I did my first comedy performance. I did 17 minutes and I got twenty or so laughs - I counted them.)
Topaz Hotel - Washington, DC - This DuPont Circle Hotel has open mic comedy every Thursday at 8pm. Organized by Curt Shackelford.
