Tom Myers: the Man, the Comedian, the Autobiographer  Tom Myers was born and raised in Maryland. Initially, he first wanted to become an actor. He took drama classes in high school and even twice participated in the Harford County Drama Festival. Tom performed his first stand-up routine at age 17 during an audition for a talent show his senior year at Fallston High School in 2001. While a student at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland, Tom continued to participate in open mics and talent showcases. Goucher’s newspaper, The Quindecim, ran an article on him while he was still a student, calling his comedy “an amusing form of social commentary.” Tom even recorded and produced his own comedy CD, “Words of Mass Destruction” in 2004. In addition to doing comedy, Tom hosted his own news/comedy/quiz/talk show on Goucher’s radio station and appeared in a handful of plays before his graduation with a History degree in 2005. Since leaving college, Tom has performed in comedy clubs, theaters, fire halls, bars and restaurants in twelve states plus the District of Columbia. He has performed for the soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington and even appeared on Baltimore’s Comcast on Demand and on Washington DC’s Local Point TV. When not performing, Tom enjoys keeping up on current events, even though he does not always like what he hears or reads.

Tom currently resides in Fallston, Maryland, and performs mainly in Maryland, DC, and Virginia with occasional shows along the East Coast. He looks forward to seeing you at one (or all) of his shows.

 Critical Acclaim

"A satirist at heart, Myers draws inspiration mainly from mixing current events, pop culture, and politics to create an amusing form of social commentary." - The Quindecim (9/2004)

"Tom Myers obviously wants to provoke and be edgy. There is a definite aspiration to be one of those comics who do jokes about American politics. There is an obvious wish to do the kind of comedy Lewis Black, Bill Maher, or Will Durst do so well." - Richard Lanoie, comedy-gags-jokes.com (11/2005)

"Last night, Tom performed at Walter Reed Medical Center. I can easily recommend him for any show. He was quick to respond to my call for comedians. He also brought another comedian, Brett the Irish Com'Mc, which gave us a full ticket. He and Brett were the first to arrive. They were more than helpful. Tom was more ready than any comedian in the show. I am so glad he was there. When he found out the show needed to be 100% clean and 100% non-political, he adjusted his material and it still came off very well. His delivery is very professional. His timing is very tight. He had the crowd rolling. He finished right on time. Again, I recommend Tom for any show you need to book." - "Sensei Ern" Miller (10/13/2006)

"Tom Myers, his tenacity, and his belief in his comedy showed me alot. He does not worry about all the bullshit and politics that may surround him. He just hits the stage and does his thing every time, with energy and enthusiasm, always giving his all. He gets that each stage is a new audience and they deserve to be given the same level of performance as any other, regardless of how he is feeling. He is dedicated to his trade and works as hard as anyone out there on it. [...] Tom is also a good guy, very genuine and really cares about the show and the comedians" - Irwin Weinstein; Founder, Kaleidoscope Comedy (12/25/2007)
