New signing on the cards

It has been reported on sky sports news that bolton have completed the signing of highly rated Polish defender Jaroslow Fojut. The 16yr nicknamed the "Butcher" in his homeland because of his uncomprimising style and has been compared to Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce in his hayday.

Bolton have annouced thier 3rd signing of the week today by completing the signing of Real Valladolid defender Julio Cesar. Cesar comes after defenders Hierro and Tal Ben Haim signed earlier this week.

Bolton lost their second friendly in a row yesterday to league 1 side Bradford City.The home side took the lead in the 61st minute through Lewis Emanuel before Henrik Pedersen levelled for the whites. Then in the 90th minute new boy Rhadi Jaidi was judged to have comitted a foul in the box and it was Jacobs himself who stepped up and slotted home the penalty to give Bradford the win.

Bolton's three match Pre-Season winning streak came to an end last night as a tired Wanderers side succumed to the Portugese premiership newboys as goals from Meyong and Oliveria gave the home side a comfortable win. However Bolton goalkeeper Kevin Poole celebrated his 41st birthday in style by making a superb save to deny Igor from the penalty spot.

Bolton continued their 100% Pre season record by defeating Portugese giants Sporting Lisbon in a highly competetive friendly.

It was the home side who took the lead in the 44th minute through a superb 20yrd strike from Martins but bolton bravely battled back and equilised thanks to an audacious chip by trialist Hassan Kachloul. After the break Bolton took the lead after a Kevin Davies cross was headed in by Henrik Pedersen.

The ame however was marred by the sending off of new signing Micheal Bridges for violent conduct.The dissmisal could land Bridges with a three match Premiership suspension if referee Pedro Henriques reports it to the Portugese authorities.

Speed signed

Newcastle united midfielder Gary Speed has sign for the wanderers.The welsh international who turns 35 in September is at the Reebok has completed his medical and joined up with the rest of the playing staff. The fee is rumoured to be around £750,000 and Speed has signed a two year deal.
