Alexandra Slate Quarry
The quarry is situated to the South East of Caernarfon by the villages called Rhosgadfan and Y Fron. Proceed on the A487 from Caernarfon towards Bontnewydd, carry on through the village up the hill then there is a Tjunction on left sign posted Rhosgadfan. Carry on up the road until you get to Y Fron. Turn left into Y Fron past the school, turn left past a slate shed and take the second track on left past the shed. You will see a gate with a cattle grid. Carry on up track to quarry. I don't reccommend driving past the Cattle grid, road is very bad. Find a suitable place to park and walk, it is only a few minutes away. You will see the cliff on your right at the top of the hill, there is a path on your left that goes down to the quarry. For the 'Capture' scene location, carry on down the path, pass the small river, and it is on your left, just look for the little tunnel...you can't miss it.
