Welcome to the second grade. One of my goals this year is to encourage your child to participate fully in schoolwork and school fun. You can help by sharing school life. Check daily to see that your child has completed assignments to the best of his/her ability. Please feel free to help your children with their work. Do not do it for them, but you can help them. If you see that a math problem is wrong, have them do it over. You can PROOFREAD their work and have them make corrections. Then, help your child figure out a system for making sure that their assignments are brought to school on time.
CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE. When your child sees her/his life surrounded by caring and attentive parents and school staff, he/she will surely join with me to help make this the best year yet.
