Black Knights' Fortress

In this quest, the player is hired by a concerned Sir Amik Vaze of the White Knights to spy and sabotage on his rival Black Knights who seem to have created a secret weapon... Walkthrough

Items needed: Medium Bronze Helmet, Iron Chain Mail, regular armor and weapon

Starting location: Falador, second floor of White Knight's Castle

1. Talk to Sir Amik Varze, located in the white knights castle in Falador. He tells you that their intelligence tells them that the black knights are planning an attack on the white knights with some “secret weapon.” He asks you to help them find out what it is and destroy it.

2. Prepare iron chain mail and a medium bronze helmet. Make them if you have to.

3. Travel north out of Falador and turn right at the fork right outside the northern entrance. Continue north until the gap in the cliffs to the West right before you reach the monks monastery. Walk through the gap and go north until you see the big building. Go to the east side of the building and, wearing your bronze helmet and iron chain mail, enter the door.

4. Ensure you put on your stronger armor. Push on the “odd looking wall in from of you.” Walk up and find the way through the system of ladders and doors to the grill and “listen” on grill. You will hear a meeting between a witch, a goblin, and a black knight. They are talking about an invisibility potion (secret weapon). Go back and leave through the “odd looking wall”.

5. You need a cabbage from the Monastery which is just to the East of the mountain. Cabbages field is in the Northern part of the Monastery. Pick one and return to the castle.

6. Back in the guard’s entrance, try to go through the east door in. The guard, if there currently is one, will tell you that the black knights are currently having a top secret meeting. You go in anyway.

7. Go up the ladder (do it fast, level 31 Black Knight will attack you) and to to another secret wall. Push it. Use the cabbage on the hole (be careful not to eat it.) You should hear the witch yell that the potion was destroyed.

8. To exit just leave through the way you came or teleport.

9. Return to Sir Amik Varze to claim your reward.

Requirements

Rewards

Walkthrough

Difficulty level: Medium, Members only

Skills Needed: Level 30 Defence, level 40 Mining, level 50 Smithing. You need to be able to defeat a level 75-125 monster.

Reward: Rune pickaxe, 5000 exp in Mining, Smithing and Defence, 2 Quest Points

Items Needed: Hammer, Pickaxe , 100 gp for ferry, 4 gold bars, Cannon Ball Mould

Quests Needed: Fishing contest, Dwarf cannon

Recommended stuff: Range or magic will be an advantage. Falador and Camelot teleport runes (like 15)!

Starting Location: Talk to Dondakan in the Keldagrim mines, East of Rellekka, North of the mountain camp and underneath the troll mountains.

1. Go to the cave east of Rellekka and north of the entrance of the mountain camp. Enter it and there’s a small crevice that you can go in.

2. Talk to the ferrymen just next to the cave entrance, ask him to give you a ride. He will ask 2 gp, pay him and go east. Keep going East, a bit north and then West until you see Dondakan. Talk to him and ask why he is firing his cannon against a wall. He will explain that it’s a rock, a special one because there is a treasure behind it. After some talking, ask him why he was trying to go through that rock again. Keep talking and you will start the quest.

3. Go North and pay the Ferryman to get across. Then go east and talk to the Dwarven Engineer. Ask him if he knows anything about the rock, he will tell you to go speak to Rolad with the black guard at the ice mountain.

4. Teleport to Falador and go to the 2 huts above the Dwarven Mine, South-West of the monastery.

5. Talk to Rolad (there are 2 huts; he is in the east one.) Ask him about the rock and he will give you a book, then he will say the pages are messed up and he needs 3 missing pages that he lost in the cave below.

6. Enter the Dwarven Cave and start searching. NOTE: All locations are different for every player.

PAGE 1: Go kill a scorpion down there and it will drop page 1. PAGE 2: You need to go around searching inside the mine carts near the cave ladder at the entrance. Eventually you will find page 2. PAGE 3: Mine every rock in the cave until it says you found a page behind a rock. 7. When you got all 3 pages return to Rolad. Say you'll look into it, don't lie. Read the book.

8. Now teleport to Camelot and head back to Dondakan with the information. Ask him what he tried so far and he will tell you that he even made adamantite and rune cannonballs and that it also didn’t work. Then he will say that he bough granite boots. He will kick the wall and it won’t have any effect.

9. Teleport to Falador and use a gold bar (with the cannon mould in your inventory) on the Furnace, it will ask you if you want to make a golden cannonball, accept it and teleport back to Camelot.

10. Now go back to Dondakan. Give him the cannonball and he will fire it against the wall, the cannonball will go right through it!

11. Now he suggests shooting you through the wall. But first his cannon must be modified so that it can shoot humans and you will also need a golden helmet. He will give you one part of the schematics .

12. Now teleport to Falador (or any other city with an anvil) and go north of Falador to Doric his anvil hut. Be sure to have a hammer and 3 golden bars in your inventory, use a gold bar on the anvil and it will ask you to make a golden helmet, accept it.

13. Go back to the cave, pay the Ferryman and then go east until you see a Ferryman to your south side, pay him and go south to the engineer. Talk to him and ask him for schematics and he will tell you that Khorvak gave him something. He will give the second part of the schematics to you.

14. Teleport to Falador (again…) and go talk to Rolad at the entrance of the dwarven mine. He will tell you that he lost the schematics too and that you have to search it yourself.

15. Now go to Taverley and keep going north to the stairs near the mountain dwarf (stairs from fishing contest). Go down the stairs, go a bit west and talk to Khorvak, a dwarven engineer. Talk to him and he will give you the third part of the schematics.

16. Now for the last part of the schematics, read the book Rolad gave you and it will ask you to tear out the last page of the book, accept it, the book will disappear and you keep the last page .

17. Now click on one of the schematics to assemble them. It’s very easy, you only need to move the pieces and it will automatically say that it makes sense now. Look below for the complete schematic (edited by Roadrager323)

Big Chompy Bird Hunting

Rantz the Ogre needs to feed his demanding children, Fycie and Bugs so he wants to go Big Chompy Bird hunting. Problem is, he's all fingers and thumbs when it comes to making ogre arrows. Could someone please give him a hand?

Requirements

  • level 5 fletching
  • level 30 cooking
  • level 30 ranged combat

Rewards

  • two quest points
  • experience towards ranged, fletching, and cooking
  • ability to make ogre arrows
  • ability to cook Chompy birds

Walkthrough Difficulty level: Easy/Medium, Members Only

Reward: 2 quest points and fixed 735 ranged experience, 262 fletching experience, 1470 cooking experience, Ogre bow and ability to make Ogre arrows

Required skills: 5 Fletching, 30 cooking, 30 Ranging, must be able to kill level 64 Wolves

Items needed: a chisel, a hatchet, a knife, 80-100 feathers, 4-5 wolf bones (can be obtained during the quest), armor and weapons to kill a level 64 wolf

Start location: South-East of Ogre city, which is south east of Yanille

1. Talk to Rantz who is southeast of Yanille. He will tell you to make some ogre arrows stabbers which are arrows made of an Achey Tree for shafts and Wolves bones for tips. They need normal feathers.

2. First you will need your axe to cut down the Achey Trees (just near you.) You will need about 10 logs to do the quest. Then take your knife and cut the logs like normal arrows. You will make 3-6 shafts out of one log. Then, add your feathers to the arrow shafts you made from the Achey logs. You'll use 4 feathers per one shaft.

3. You need to make special arrow tips. You have to kill level 64 wolves, they are just west of where you find Rantz. Kill a wolf and pick up Wolf bones. You will need 3 - 6 wolves to be able to make enough arrows. Use your Chisel with the bones to make some arrow tips out of the bones (you need at least 12 - 15 tips and you make 3-6 tips out of one bones set.) Add your arrow tips to the arrow shafts that you previously placed feathers on. When you have made the arrows, go talk to Rantz. He will take 6 arrows off you.

4. Now you will need to bait the Chompy Bird. Go to the cave that is a bit north of Rantz. Go in and talk to the 2 ogres (Fycie and Bugs) in there, they are his sons. When you finish talking to them, go unlock and search the Chest in the north west of the cave. You will get an Ogre Bellows.

5. Go to the swamp just west of Rantz, there are some bubbles coming out of the swamp. Use the bellows with the bubbles and you will fill the bellows with gas. Now use the bellows with the Swamp toads around the area. The toad will fill with gas and grow big and then the toad will automatically get placed in your inventory. You will need 3 toads full of gas. (You can't get more than 3 at a time.)

6. When you got the fatty toads, go to Rantz and he will tell you to drop the toads with gas south of him, an arrow will appear that points to the Chompy Hunting Grounds south of Rantz, drop the toads in the area where he showed you. When you have dropped the toads go back to Rantz and he will shoot at the birds but he wont hit it and blame it on your arrows. Tell him you want to try it, if you ask him enough times you will get a ogre bow.

7. Now if you didn't make extra arrows above, you will need more arrows so do the steps above again to make at least 5 arrows. Get 3 more Toads as per above and drop them the same place as Rantz told you before. Walk away a few feet to allow the birds to get at the toads. The Chompy will fly down near the toads you placed there. Shoot it, when it dies go pluck it.

8. When you have plucked the Chompy, there will be raw Chompy Bird on the ground with some bones and some feathers, grab the feathers if you wish to make more arrows, and then take the raw Chompy Bird to Rantz. Rantz will tell you that you have to cook the bird for him and he will also tell you how he wants it cooked or what he wants on the cooked Chompy bird and tells you to go ask his sons too for their food orders, note the food items you need. The sons are still in the cave north of Rantz. The items needed varies each time between these food items: cabbage, tomato, potato, onion, equa leaves, or doogle leaves.

The food items can be found around the Ogre city area and around the area where Rantz is: The Onions and Tomatoes are just west of the swamp with the toads. The Cabbage is in various locations including just north of the swamps with the toads, and around the equa leaves. The Doogle leaves are west of the onions. The potatoes and equa leaves are found at the shore south then east of Rantz. The potatoes are very hard to find and only spawns rarely in this area.

9. When you got the required ingredients, go north of Rantz and south of the cave there is a special Fire. Use the Raw Chompy bird on the fire and it will cook the bird with the ingredients. When you have cooked the bird, go to Rantz and talk to him for the last time. The quest is done.

Tell him to have a good meal then go north-west to the side of the Rehison house and pick up the rotten apples. Then go east to the side of the mourner’s house, climb over the fence and use the rotten apples with the cooking pot. Go out front and talk to the mourner. Guidor’s Wife: Talk to her and then go to the Tailor in the northern building and buy a full priest gown (12 gp).

Bar: Then go to the bar and talk to all three people, besides the bartender, to receive all the vials. (Chansy, DeVinci, and Hops)

Elena: Return to Elena and tell her what Guidor told you. She tells you that the king will surely reward you. Go speak to King Lathas in the castle to the South.

King Lathas: Talk to him and say “I don’t understand…” and he tells you why the plague is a hoax, and gives you your reward. (edited by Roadrager323)

Read the signpost near the Hair of the Dog Tavern located in Canifis, which happens to be advertising a job.

Head along the road North-east of town until you find a large castle. Speak to Dr. Fenkenstrain and ask him what job he's asking about. Describe yourself as 'braindead,' and that your greatest skill is 'grave-digging.' He'll say that you need to find 4 dead body parts, including a pair of arms and legs, a torso and a head.

Speak to the Gardener Ghost in the room to the north, with your Amulet of Ghostspeak on and ask him about his head. He says that it was chopped off, and he will eventually follow you into the woods to show you where it happened.

Leave the castle and head south, past the dead trees, and then head southeast into the Haunted Woods until you reach Ed Lestwit's grave marker. You'll find various creatures here, including level 61 and 72 Vampires, and level 52 Leeches. You can also speak to the ghost to see which way to walk. When you find the grave, just Dig with your Spade until you find a Decapitated Head.

Head back to the castle and go up the northwest staircase. Inside the nearby room is a Bookcase, which you can search for "The Joy of Gravedigging" to get a Marble Amulet. On the east side of this floor is another Bookcase, which you can search for "Handy Maggot Avoidance Techniques" to obtain an Obsidian Amulet. Use the 2 pieces together to form a Star Amulet.

Now leave the castle again, but this time follow the path to a small graveyard to the southeast. Use the Star Amulet with the Memorial to the far east, and then Push it to find a crypt. Follow along the path into a room of Experiments, and kill the level 51 Experiment that appears to be both Wolf and Human. Pick up the Cavern Key that it drops and continue northwest along the twisty path until you come across a gate. Unlock it with the key and head up the ladder, to find yourself on a small island with 3 memorials to the north. Dig in front of each of them to receive a pair of Legs, Arms , and a Torso.

Push the Memorial to the south and make your way back through the cavern, to the Hair of the Dog Tavern. Talk to Roavar and ask for something to eat. Buy the Pickled Brain for 50gp, and use it with the Decapitated Head. Bring everything back to Dr. Fenkenstrain, who now needs a Needle and 5 Thread to sew the parts together.

After he sews the body up, he determines that he needs lightning to bring it to life. Talk to the Gardener Ghost again, and ask him about the Key to the Shed, which he gladly gives to you. Search the nearby Pile of Canes for 3 Garden Canes, and then search the Cupboard in the small room for a Garden Brush. Use each of the canes with the brush (with 3 Bronze Wires in your Backpack) to make an Extended Brush.

Head upstairs, and use the brush with the Fireplace in the small room to the west where you found the Marble Amulet. You'll get a Conductor Mould, which can be used to make a Conductor by using a Silver Bar with a Furnace with the mould in your backpack. Once you have the Conductor, bring it upstairs and go up the southern-most ladder. Use it with the Lightning Conductor to attract the lightning.

Head back to Dr. Fenkenstrain, who now needs you to kill the monster that he created, and he gives you a Tower Key. Head upstairs, go through the gate in the center of the room and climb the ladder, where you'll find Fenkenstrain's Monster. Talk to him, he wants you to stop Dr. Fenkenstrain's evil work. Now just pickpocket the Doctor to obtain a Ring of Charos and to complete the quest. (edited by Roadrager323)
