Northern Aces Championships 2006

 

The Second Edition of the Manchester LGBT International Tournament 

was held on the 11^th, 12^th and 13^th August 2006.

 

Northern Aces members James E, Stephen P, Steve R, Paul T, Grant, Jeff, Nick M, Nick W, Nick A, Paul G, Kenny, Steven K and Ian won trophies in Manchester. Congratulations!

Eurogames Utrecht 2005

 

 

And now, Ralph!!!

Yes, just a few weeks after John win a title in Amsterdam, another player of the team, Ralph won TWO medals (silver in doubles and bronze in singles) in the Eurogames 2005. More details to be posted soon. Well done, Ralph!

 

Pinkster Tournament 2005

Congratulations, John!!!

 

Playing with lovely and temperamental Jos Engel, John Miller won the D mixed doubles competition in the Pinkster Tournament 2005.

After winning the first set, Jos and John lost the second set but kept the nerves and fought really hard to beat eventually Anne Marie Zweers and Frankie van Kessel-Goggin in the final by 6-3, 1-6, 6-3!!

 

 

Previously, the current European Champion in C singles and doubles, Paul Tucker couldn't add another title to his impressive career and lost the B singles final against Fernando Velasquez by 6-2, 6-1.

 

Northern Aces Spring Tournament

 

We celebrated the first edition of the Northern Aces Spring Tournament on the 9th and 10th April, 2005 open only to members of the group. Paul Tucker and Jeff Harpin were the winners of the C and D singles.
