  • Petfinder.com - search for adoptable pets on this nationwide animal shelter and rescue listing site. Almost all of the Northern New York Animal Shelters have listings on Petfinder.
  • ASPCA.org - A great website that offers a lot of information on taking home your adopted shelter pets. They have a really good pet care and behavior section that we refer to.
  • Lupine Collars and Leads - We sell the Lupine Brand here at our shelter. Check out their website for the most updated patterns and designs. Then, contact us about purchasing items through our shelter.
  • HSUS.org - The Humane Society of the United States has created a very informative website. They provide information about adopting and caring for new pets, as well as basic behavior and training tips.
  • HomeAgain Pet Recovery System - Our shelter has been using HomeAgain microchips as a way to permanently identify all of the pets we place into new homes since 2002. For more information visit their website.
  • PetSmart.com - PetSmart Charities helps area animal shelters and humane societies hold fundraisers directly in their stores. We have participated in numerous Adopt-a-Thons and the Santa Paws Photo Fundraiser event.
  • Lucky Pet ID Tags - We highly recommend putting an ID tag on your pet to identify them if they ever get lost. Lucky Pet Tags offers a large variety both plastic and metal tags, as well as embroidered nylon collars. For more details, check out their website.
  • American House Rabbit Society - This website offers a lot of useful information for anyone who is looking to adopt a rabbit, or already owns a house rabbit. We use this site as a quick reference for our shelter rabbits.
  • Spay/Neuter Now - This organization helps people in the St.Lawrence, Franklin and Jefferson counties afford the cost of spaying or neutering their pets. Visit their website to find out more information.
  • Saranac Lake, NY - Discover our beautiful and vibrant Saranac Lake community, that was named an "All-America City" in 1998.
  • Lake Placid, NY - If you are making plans to visit our shelter, you should also make a trip to Lake Placid, the beautiful Olympic Village, best known for hosting the Winter Olympics in 1932 and 1980.
  • Adirondack High Peaks Dog Training Club (AHPDTC) - Located in Saranac Lake, the AHPDTC offers dog classes throughout the year. There are a variety of classes offered. Check out their website for contact information to enroll.
