This is Jake, our beautiful boy. Very loyal and sensitive, he loves his home comfort and avoids confrontation. Jake has had a troubled past, he has been attacked on 3 occasions and spent many years feeling very nervous of dogs he doesnt know. He has his close friends from training school and our neighbours' dogs who he adores to play with, and of course Bennie.
Jake spent the first five years of his life with Tommy, it was he who taught Jake right from wrong and was always there beside him. We would call them 'the velcro dogs' as they always stood beside each other as though they were stuck together. After Tommy passed in 2005, Jake became depressed; he would barely get up to walk and spent each night howling himself to sleep. It was then we introduced Bennie; our little beacon of light. And Jake slowley came out of his shell and over these few years has transformed. This last year Jake has been like a reformed dog, very happy, more trusting towards others, always up for a game and a run and very very loyal to his family.
He loves to run around and stretch his paws in the fresh air, and to catch rain drops between his teeth.
Jake has filled our home with love and i am grateful for every minuite spent with him.
