Tommy 1995-2005
Tommy was my lovely little sheltie who I loved and adored. He came into my life as an 8 week old puppy back in february 1996. He was always such a sweetie, a sensitive dog who was very quiet and loving. Despite some health issues, he lived his life to the full, and a few days before he passed he was running around the garden with Jake, and his favourite toy parrot in his mouth. He was always a puppy at heart and never showed his age. He was 10 years old when he passed, but eventhough he was 10 no one ever believed us! they thought he looked much younger than that.
Tommy was the prettiest dog there can be, and he had a lovely nature. I'll never forget the way he greeted us - he was very vocal! And the way he'd stare into your eyes and follow us around like a shadow.
I was 5 yrs old when Tommy came into my life, and he has seen me grow up. They say that if children have pets when they are young they will grow up to be kinder people. And I know for sure that is true! He taught me how to care for animals and to be responsible, and in return gave me unconditional love. If it wasn't for Tommy, I might not be the caring animal lover who I am today, so I have alot to thank him for.
On the 30th of June 2005 Tommy passed away in his sleep. Aged 10. He had a wonderful happy life, and lived each day to the full. I have recently heard that his birth mum has passed away too, so Tommy and his loving mum will be reunited up on the rainbow bridge. Forever.
Thankyou Tommy for being the best friend a girl can have, for always looking out for me and being loving and loyal. Not a day goes by when I don't think of you. You will always be a part of me, and I will never forget your sweet face. Eventhough you are gone from my life, you will never be absent from my heart. And one day we will meet again.....
