I make cloth diaper covers because it's a fun hobby, but mostly I make them because my goal is to CLOTH DIAPER THE WORLD!
I believe that every baby should have cloth on it's bum because sposies are evil, lol. They have chemicals in them that are harsh on our children's skin.
My son got horrible and persistant diaper rashes. Nothing worked. I even took him to the doctor and tried a prescription ointment. Then I tried cloth and they went away! They didn't come back either. What more proof do you need?!
I plan to achieve my goal of worldwide cloth by selling my covers at an affordable rate. $80 for one pair of longies is just insane, in my opinion. I find that most of the great quality wool covers are out of my price range.
And even though I know that in the long run, even expensive cloth is going to be cheaper than disposibles, I would never want a child to have to walk around in those awful gel filled paper diapers just because the start up cost was too great.
