Welcome to the online information portal of Barangay Tisa, Cebu City, TisaNet. This website offers the profile, issues, news and other relevant information about the barangay. This online resource exist to help users, especially the tisa community, be aware of the current activities and events of the barangay. This website was realized through the efforts of the 2nd semester CS 56 multimedia class of University of Cebu in coorporation with the barangay tisa officials and staff.

History told that during the 17th century at the southeastern part of Cebu City, there was a big house constructed by the Spanish Friars, roofed with tisa ceramics. The so-called Spanish Convento was situated at the heart of unknown sitio covering 5,100 sq. meters area donated by a devoted Christian families.

The Spanish Friars at that time had women to serve them and appease their loneliness with their whims and caprices. The Filipinos who had observed their lifestyles and abused of women revolted and beheaded the Spanish Friars. The Rebolusionarios led by the Leon Kilat burned and destroyed the Spanish Convento.
